The groomer has been wonderful with my pets! She goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy. She is great with my rescue dog, as well as my hyper puppy! She is truly a pet lover and it shows!

I'm all about supporting small businesses, but, My first time there wasn't a good one. I took my shepherd with me to give her a bath. I walked in and only person I saw was a girl in one of the cages, I guess taking care of one of the rabbits. I didn't know she worked there. I stood there for a few minutes, waiting for someone to acknowledge me. The girl in the cage finally acknowledged me after a few minutes of me standing by the door, looking around. She had no personality at all.I paid, and she walked me back, carrying a bag.Make sure you bring your own soap. The Gatorade bottle with the soap wasn't enough for my 80lb girl. It was watery, and runny. No one came to check on me, so I made do with the bottle they gave me. Tried to make it last. (Didn't work). I wasn't trying to go look for someone with a soaking wet dog or leave her alone.I had to cut the blow drying short because the handle and cord were getting too hot to hold on to.The room I was in, was dirty. I guess they don't clean in between dogs. The hair stopper was full of hair and gunk. It didn't even serve its purpose, so I didn't even use it. I tried and the water didn't drain. There weer no trash cans, so I just threw the gobs of my dogs' hair in the floor.I'm not going to discourage anywhere from going there. I did see some good reviews. Maybe they will have a better experience than I did, but, I won't go back.

Edit to reply to response! It most definitely did have dead hermit crabs in the tank and the tank was laying on the floor! YOU obviously have not been in your store lately. The crabs were most definitely dead OUTSIDE the shells! And axolotls don't need heat!!!!!! That is apart of the problem and is not helping with the legs rotting off! What a rude and irresponsible response. Instead of fixing the issues and neglect you give such an awful response. WOW! Those poor animals.Me and my three kiddos went here for the first time today. We are huge animal lovers. The moment I walked through the door the smell that hits you is horrific and you are quickly feeled with heartbreak as you realize the filth these poor animals are in and none are in proper cages/tanks. I instantly looked at my husband and said I want to cry. The cages were disgusting and beyond filled with feces. Most animals had zero food or water. They had 3 and 4 full grown adult rats stuffed in tiny 10 gallon fish tanks. Some of the lizards looked sickly. I counted at least 10 dead hermit crabs in the crab tank. Every single Axolotls legs were missing and looked like they were rotting! I questioned the worker on how they keep the Axolotl tanks cool because anyone who knows anything about axolotls know they NEED cold water. The lady informed me that they need HEATERS and that there water was 75 degrees! I will be reporting this store for all of the animals sake. I went to my car and cried! I never write bad reviews for places but this one HAD to be wrote. Absolutely heartbreaking.

I inherited a dog from a very good friend that passed away. Her son was the breeder of the dog a goldendoodle. So i have no question as to the breed of this dog. Keep that in mind for later in this review. This place shaved, SHAVED my Goldendoodle to the skin - no hair ANYWHERE. Yes, he was matted in places which could have been cut out and then groomed. Now, not only was my dogs hair ruined by this place, the lady kept arguing with me about the breed of my dog, insisting he was not a Goldendoodle. I pray WV passes a law requiring "professional" dog groomers to become certified much like a barber. No states require it as of now, but is it ever needed. Also, it smells like an animal has died in your place of business, please check your cages.

Matt is always so friendly and both groomers are the best!! Fat daddy is very grouchy but loves to go visit and be groomed.. knowledge on his skin allergies so he is always bathed according to him.. he’s always so happy when coming home! My friends at work , also , have came and received services or pet(s) related items and have all said they received great experience!

This was buttons before and after. We have had her groomed before and it was not a good experience she was terrified and shaking when we picked her up and was scared of blow dryers and baths after that. So I seen this place on Facebook and thought why not give a try so so glad I did. SHE looks amazing!! Was so happy when we got her home and wasn't scared one bit the groomer come out spoke with me and everything. Won't be taking her anywhere else love this place wtg!!!

Spams Facebook with complaints that they won’t be open long if they can’t get customers, but also with complaints that nobody wants to work there. Deletes constructive criticism from reputable business owners, my sisters dog received a TERRIBLE groom, and can we talk about the SMELL of this place? Save yourself some time a visit a chain store.Edit: the tactless replies to the other reviews display yet another example of the lack of readiness, knowledge and skill. Totally dismissive.Thought you were doing “just fine?”Thought your groomer was “top notch?”

Absolutely such a cute little pet shop for a local owned business very clean the staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone to shop there for items or pets. Definitely better than walking into a million dollar company owned pet store. The big companies or only about money and not about the pets. Both of my kids enjoyed seeing the animals and watching the staff take care of themI said what I said XoXoKeep on being you pets for less will definitely visit again

Would give this place a 0 if I could. They leave the animals for almost 10 hours without going outside to potty. My dog came home constipated and extremely anxious after being there for a few days. They did not give him the food or any of the treats I left him, when I picked him up they didn’t even know the bag beside his kennel was his (which had all his food and medicine and stuff in it ) he was also supposed to be groomed before I picked him up and he was not. They couldn’t even find the paper I signed when I dropped him off with our information on it and his schedule for food and meds. the lady made the comment it was under new management and everyone had quit in the time frame my dog was there. I was not impressed at all and do not think they need to be boarding animals.I don’t expect someone new to know everything about all the animals being boarded, but the basics are necessary. Certain food, medicine, health issues, etc. which is why my dog has stomach issues now. He has to have certain food, which was left in a bag with his name on everything. Also, I spoke with two different people who said the animals were left while the store was closed and the last time they are let out is 8:30 pm and open back up and 10 am. So these aren’t just assumptions when these are the answers I was given.

Don't go here if you want your dog cut severley to the point of needing staples. They will not take any responsibility either.Update the owners response to the situation I'm talking about is "two sides to every story" when you won't take responsibility and you left what looked like a 3 inch puncture wound into a small dogs chest and wont even contact the customer who left with their dog who had to get staples, well that just tells me the entire story right there. The way you irresponsibly ignored the situation shows just what kind of person you are. You should be ashamed.

I walked in with my family just to look around..the smell was awful!!! I have never been to a pet store that had such terrible smell😬😬 the fish tanks were very dirty and unkept. the reptile enclosures were extremely empty (just like every other enclosure/cage for other types of pets such as hamsters, rats, etc.) it was all just very unsanitary and seemed really unprofessional 🤷‍♀️ all i can say is those poor animals!

I feel so bad for these animals. I have had to keep myself from going back there and helping them escape. The cages are disgusting. They’re in sad inhumane conditions.

Lowkey disgusting flies everywhere on a cage that has nothing in it, looks like it just sits there with poop in it, went there 2 times and each time it was the same, and you guys have horrible grooming obviously because you cut dogs constantly. Just seen a Facebook post about how someone had to go to the ER for the dog because one of y’all cut it deep, and it wasn’t the first time

Went in hoping this place would be better than at least petco and petsmart. Was met with a place that reeked of animal feces. All the cages were filthy, multiple animals without water, animals crammed together in 10 gallon tanks with no places to hide, and for the reptiles all had VERY basic set ups with poor husbandry. This place needs a lot of work. Also had multiple employees just chatting away while at least one could have been tending to the animals.

Took both of our dogs in for grooming and they were great at getting them in at the last minute but that was the high point. These were the worst haircuts I've ever seen given to a dog. It was uneven and patches of long hair then short hair. A 12 years old could have done better. Id love to see this business thrive but they need to up their game. Good luck

I was referred by a girl at my job. I work in healthcare so my schedule is wonky and they offered good schedule for her. The groomer made my lab mix hair look so good. Her hair is thick and sometimes is hard to maintain! She “deshedded” her n made her skin (I know) feel better & she had a cute bow in her hair. Thank you Donna

Let me start by saying I am VERY picky about my dog Sorry (yes Sorry) and I was hesitant about taking her to a new place. The employees are so nice and well versed in pet care. The animals are happy, healthy, handled and don't seem stressed like in most big name stores. Shows they care for and about animals! The 2 groomers we've had are very experienced and take time to make sure they know exactly what you want, any special needs your dog may have and they will fix it if for some reason you're not happy. I was even told they will pick up your pet for grooming if you're in the CK area. The prices are reasonable and I can't say enough good things about them. Hope they get to stick around!

Just saw a post about them cutting a dog! Looked AWFUL!! Also, read their bad reviews on here and the owner always responds terribly to them! Doesn’t take ownership of what they have done! Immediately goes on the defense and claims everyone is lying! Terrible way to do business!

This was my first day visiting this establishment and I must say it was the best decision I ever made. The store is very clean and smells so refreshing. I also had my 2 fur babies groomed today and they were quick and followed my request to a T. And the price is beyond less than I had expected to pay.i was previously paying upward of 60 dollars per dog and one of them only gets a bath and nail trim. I am so pleased with the way my Reese turned out. Upon picking them up I immediately asked for standing appointments every 6 weeks as I have no doubt that I will remain a dedicated customer after my experience today. They also have some nice accessories for your fur baby. If you haven't visited please come out and enjoy down home hospitality the way you want it to be. Thank you for the spectacular care you showed me and my babies today.

This does not even deserve a 1 star rating I got pets from there and I feel they may have a disease they won’t hardly move drink water or anything. They are terrified of me and I haven’t done anything for them to be. The animals should be well trained and treated before put out on the store floor. I think this may be a concern for the health department. So disappointing. Also walking in there and seeing animals fighting and chasing each other and employees not even attempting to break it up is insane

This was my first time in since they moved locations and I was really looking forward to seeing the improvements but was highly disappointed.The store had an overwhelming pet odor as soon as we came through the door.I needed to pickup a few items but took time to stop and look at a few of the animals along the way. I was really upset at the ball python enclosure. Reptile carpet and almost no humidity. The ball was glass surfing clearly upset over it's surroundings. It had one small hide and was not at all comfortable.Does anyone have any interest in caring for animals properly? There are standards that were "appropriate" fifteen years ago and there are standards which are appropriate now - as a pet store I would expect you to educate yourself, your staff, and potential new homes with the best information available.

My family loves going into Pets For Less. It’s always clean and the staff is very intelligent when it comes to animals. The are very friendly. We have bought from them and will continue to buy. One of My grand daughter has a ball pythons and mice that are so friendly. She feeds her snake frozen mice that they have taught her how to do. The other has a pet rat and a beta. The girls love going in there to hold different animals. Love the Variety of fish they have also variety of saltwater fish. The groomer is fantastic. I would suggest anyone that is looking for friendly and clean Pet store to check them out.

Had my 2 large dogs groomed. Great service, great timing, great prices. Easy drop off and pick up. Enjoyed chatting with the cashier. A+ service - would recommend.
