This place is beautiful. Cozy cabins to get away from real life for a time. The trout fishing here is top notch. Josh is very knowledgeable and very helpful. Housekeeping staff very friendly and helpful as well. Lots to see and do in this area, and this is a great place to stay while you explore different things while you are here. We'll be back for sure.

What started off as a nice experience ended off as what I would consider a scam. There’s a well stocked pond to fish for you catch and keep. On day one, we did just that and brought the fish to the “trout shack” to be weighed with a bucket that was “4lbs” and paid accordingly. The next day had another good day of catching beautiful fish and took them over to get weighed but this day the same bucket now weighed “3.5 lbs” and when we asked why it was different they said “we re-weighed it”. So now we were paying more than yesterday off the bat. Then we got charged for 13 fish weighing in at 11lbs which was minus the bucket weight and I said “I’m sorry that’s incorrect we had 9 fish” and the owner Josh said no, you have 13, I said no that’s not true, we caught 9. Another woman (I believe his wife) and older gentleman behind us who worked there chimed in and said “each fish we have here weighs over a pound so he’s correct”. (Mathematically that would be very wrong as well regarding weight if that’s their defense). I said to them along with my family , we did not catch 13 fish. And that’s when another employee walked in and heard the conversation and said that there were 4 fish backbones still in the bag from the previous fishers that did not belong to us (they count by bones in a bag). So had he not come in and the math of 13-4= 9 , they would have scammed us out of a lot of money as you pay per pound and per filet if done. It not only upset us but it left a sour taste in my child’s mouth and I will never recommend this place to anyone for this reason. We didn’t do the “private guided” catch and release but we did watch and see that Josh was either in a chair under a tree while those people were fishing or no where to be found while they were unsupervised caught it, handled it and stressed the fish out so much he had to try to revive it due to stress. Don’t go here.

This place is awesome. When I fish for trout in the streams I prefer to catch and release, but I do enjoy a trout meal. This catch and keep pond provides clean healthy trout that are fun to catch. Not just fun for kids. Fun for all fishermen. The folks there are super nice. The cost is reasonable. You will love this beautiful place.
