Store is never stocked, shelves are always empty, store is never cleaned or properly maintained. Common to have to stand at counter waiting for an employee to come. The homeless use the restrooms as their personal wash station or the druggies use it to do drugs. It’s usually out of order anyways because of abuse of its facilities. It’s always nasty hot in there and a lot of times smelly. The theft is out of control and management is horrible. I usually go to the Quincy store even though it’s further away from my house.

They have good prices and usually pretty good customer service. It could use a good cleaning and shelves stocked a little more but overall it's worth it to shop there

It's hard to get waited on it's like the cashier was on drugs that slowed her down and if you don't get that one you get one of the rude ones that hate life and despise their job the place needs a good cleaning both the building and the employees. I gave them 1 star because I had too. The place has went down hill since that one manager left

I like the convenience of this newest Dollar General,but I have never felt like a welcomed customer- as if I'm being watched and followed,which I don't let upset me since I am not doing anything that is even remotely wrong or suspicious. I'm not sure if it's because of the high amount of stolen goods by local thieves in the stores around here, as I'm sure they are just keeping a watchful eye- but it is not a good feeling to have to shrug off over and over. There are some great cashiers/workers there, and are very polite,so I would rather go here than the other Dollar General stores around.If the theft is so bad, post security at the door, or put more cameras-- don't make a cashier or clerk assume responsibility over theft reduction. How much can one steal or hide before someone notices at the store or it's obvious?! It's enough to attend to the best ability of completing that one job, let alone learn the psychology of a kleptomaniac! There should be a particular job given (besides floor walker) and not be put on the to-do list of the cashier and clerk working at a place-- it puts a lot of pressure and if it is not a particular requirement to eyeball customers for suspicious activity and stealing, the worker should be told specifically not to make calls like that, just like in other jobs that require certification, they need not try to be heroes. Don't get me wrong, I expect an eye to be open for obvious and clear examples of stealing or loitering/loafing actions.I think this applies to all companies and all lines of work, not just one place,by the way. 🤔

Now that they offer pickup, it is finally catching up to the other stores everywhere in safety and lessening the time being around others and potentially spreading Covid-19. When you order online,specifically- not in store,I stress, you can't get everything,actually some of the items such as plastic forks (and even honey buns) are weirdly unavailable unless you buy it in store- which defeats the entire purpose in my opinion. I wouldn't think those were the items that the entire community is rushing out to buy up! If you can get toilet paper and paper towels online, why not the rest? The app itself actually let me buy ice for pickup beforehand so what is deal? I forgot to ask for it when I checked out but that's on me. Nice workers there, more friendly than the usually stoic, or not real helpful, and big improvement over the suspicious eyeballing at alot of the other DG stores local! Being one of the only sources for food and supplies- besides Walmart, they try to keep alot in and vary the foods to help us eat healthier,which is a big deal on their part of being conscientious on the better health and life longevity matters. Still, it takes education and the mental drive and backing up of tenacity,morality, respect, and the real effort to become better, even when you misstep or stumble- not just do better by mere actions for gaining personal acknowledgement. What you do when nobody will see nor be witness of is actually the authentic definition of who you are-for certain!

They have made it uncomfortable and I have felt like I'm being seen like a their.....I understand ppl have a job to do..,however I'm not checking my book bag at the door. And I did just so I CLD shop because I wasn't given a choice but I know my bag was plundered thru and it's a set up for u to get robbed

Typical Dollar General. They have many items in stock that will save you a trip to Walmart. Sadly they don't have any fresh meat. I've shopped at this store for many years for price and convenience.

Really love this particular stores (Smithers)setup. I love organization of their products. Compared to my local store this location always stays well stocked and offer new products.
