Has been my vet for years, the vets and staff are great aside from a super unhelpful and borderline rude receptionist. This review and my corresponding decision to never come back can all be attributed to her sorry about your luck demeanor when it comes to my pet’s health.

After our dachshund Harley was very ill, we tried getting him in the Weston vet that we used to go to. They were busy and told my wife to go to Morgantown. We didn’t know if he would even make that trip. So my wife called upshur vet hospital in hopes of being seen. They were busy as well but told her to bring him in and they would work him in. We hurried to get him there. They were very kind and loving there that put our hearts at ease. Harley is fine now. He’s old (16) and still has his days he’s not feeling well. But if he ever gets sick again you can bet your bottom dollar that we will carry him there. We love this place and they are more about your pet not about how much money is in your pockets. They will always have our business. Gob bless

Ok if you don’t need emergency treatment. Waiting a week to treat my cat’s respiratory infection didn’t sit well with me. I drove to Morgantown, was seen immediately, three days later she’s better. I can see now it’s all about the money for them. Never again.

We took our newfoundland in to be fixed and had something go wrong. The Vet knew his stuff and was able to get control of the situation.Other places would have tried to hide it or gloss it over. They called the next day, genuinely concerned to make sure she was doing well. The whole team did an amazing job. You can't get that experience just anywhere.

The staff and providers were all so very kind, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to try and put me at ease during a very difficult time. They all made sure I was okay and explained every detail of what to expect both during and after my little guy went to sleep and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. They are truly amazing, and I will never go anywhere else again.

I just got my first puppy and had never had to go to the vet before. I called to schedule his boosters and the staff was very helpful and understood my work schedule and worked around it for me to get him in on time. They even remembered the only day I was available when scheduling his second boosters. The vet is very kind and even joined the vet tech in bringing him back out to me and complimented on his well manners, how cute he was and what a sweetheart he was. We have found our vet for life

Great staff! Dr. Flesher is definitely there for the animals, not to rack up big vet bills for his clients (which has been my experience other places). He has been great for all of our pets, and he works to help rescue pets, too! Highly recommend!!!

I was very pleased UVH found an appointment for my sick cat the same day I called, especially since our regular vet said they didn't have an opening until next week!When I called they got basic info and had me get our regular vet to send her records. I was also informed they were doing curbside service, so I should park and call them.Once I arrived and called, a tech/receptionist came out to get more details and take my cat in. I remained in the car.The vet himself came out to share the results and ask if I had any further questions.I was very pleased with their service and the cost was reasonable. I highly recommend UVH.

They almost killed my dog during nudering , brought him back because he was in a lethargic mostly unresponsive state & they charged 500$ for An IV sent me home with an IV bag and dirty needles, then recommended I see his friend (the doctors) in Fairmont. Not listening I took him to cheat lake in Morgantown. He was hospitalized for a week put on 9 different meds including one for an infection where he had his surgery and his kidneys were almost completely failing. However cheat lake saved the day (which wasn’t cheap) but my best friend is happy and healthy again.

We've been taking our animals here for 20+ years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with them! Drs. Pickens and Flesher are terrific!
