I received a quote for hazard insurance that I wanted to take advantage of. I purchased a home with a garage that had a chimney/flue that Erie requested I remove to gain coverage. I completed that task to find out I was denied because of the chimney debris pile, a broken window with plastic on it and my personal belongings that an agent took photos of under an RV canopy. All of this took place within 24 hours so no time was available to trim out my new wall coverings, yet I was cited for that. I moved in 5 days ago yet cited for these frivolous issues. Now, your insurance depends on cosmetic concerns. Still trying to figure out why my personal effects were photographed. Always a reason to deny coverage, I guess. Thanks, Erie, for making me destroy part of my new property that I didn't have to and lose one full day of work in the process.
