Very racist not only here at JCPenney but the whole mall was treated as if it was a inconvenient for them to ring me up as a black customer. The pizza place teens make racist jokes and not wearing gloves and handling money you can keep that after coughing over the pizza and not washing your hands

The two older women working the jewelry counter were very rude. They walked past us several times, not even a I'll be with you, or just a moment. And it took two of them , to wait on one person. 25 minutes I stood there, put my stuff down and walked out. And what's sad, I've never had that experience there in that store.

Lots of clearance items which is great! Tons of variety as well, but the Air Conditioning has not been working for a good long while which is why I have to go with 3 stars, plus their changing rooms are mostly closed and you have to search for the open changing areas to try items on. A little bit of a headache but the deals are wonderful in store.

I do most of my shopping on JC Penney. com. It's frustrating because most of the clothing I like is never available in the store, so I have to have it shipped to the store for a $3.95 charge. Kohl's does this for free. I'm an average size-small or medium, but your Liz Claiborne clothes that I like are never available for pickup. I've started ordering things that are only offered in the store or are shipped for free.I also dislike that if I use a cash reward, I don't get reimbursed for it if I have to return the item. Kohl's returns my Kohl's cash if I return the item.You offer beautiful clothes and great sales, but your shipping policies are a deterrent to me. FYI, I live about 20 miles away from the Meadowbrook store, so I almost always use the app to see the sales.

Store is neat and clean but it is ALWAYS way too hot to shop comfortably and although there are usually a couple of registers open, there is never enough. And their sale signs have very fine print at the bottom so I end up not leaving with half of the stuff I took to the register... it's really a very irritating experience but I LOVE their clothes.

The selection and styles of clothes I feel is wonderful. Good sales and fairly expensive without. Nice rewards program where you earn coupons. Salon needs rehabbed but the stylists are very talented and have years upon years of experience. Most everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I happen to be a stylist there and I educate my clients about what techniques I'm using in their hair and how to care for it. Bathrooms are old and need remodeled. Toilet paper is the thinnest, smallest width paper ever. Trying to cut costs I suppose but when you need wads of it to take care of business it probably costs them more.

So much stuff to look at, so plan to spend some time along with your money. I tend to go when there is a good sale on what I'm looking for... most recently it was a shoe sale! I found some excellent Sketchers, even in the wide size that i require 😉

Great customer service! The ladies at pickup were great! Highly recommend getting your purchase sent to the store for zero dollars shipping versus paying out of pocket to ship items to your home/business

The store is alright. There is a wide variety of formal wear to choose from which is nice. They also have very helpful employees and tend to have short checkout times. They also keep the store very clean. The only downside is that the prices are really expensive.

Took my youngest clothes shopping for school. Not a real great selection. She found a couple shirts, that was it. Staff was pleasant and helpful though, dressing rooms were clean.

Amazing store with a great selection. I love their brands, specifically "Arizona". Unfortunately it is getting harder to find my size, but I blame supply chain issues.They also have a nice clearance section where you can try fancy brands at a heavily discounted rate. This section is organized by sizes which is very convenient. 3 name brand pieces for the price of 1.

Great Selection of everything!!! Last minute items for groomsman and flower girl wedding attire worked perfect when I was in a hurry. 3 flower girl dresses normally $150 each I found on clearance for $20 each. Originally I had bought a couple of different sizes of pants and shirts for the groomsmen and the exchange process was fast and I got what I needed.

I had to attend a funeral, so I needed a new suit. I could only see three employees in the whole store, and they couldn't help me. After a half hour I was so disgusted that I just grabbed a pair of slacks and went looking for a cashier. When I found one, there was a sign saying it was closed and to go to another one. I found a line of about 15 frustrated people saying they were in line to check out, so I went back to the Men's section, left my slacks on top of the rack, and left. 2 hours later, I calmed down, went back, the slacks were still on top of the rack, no employees were to be found, and I went back to the only register with the line. When my turn came, they made the mistake of asking if I found everything alright....then she asked if I'd like to pay for my $110 slacks with a Penney's card. I said "No". Do yo have a Penney's card?, she asked. I said "No". Would you like to apply for a Penney's card?..."No". "It'll save you money from this purchase, even if you don't qualify' she insisted. I said "No". 'You could save over $25 on these pants'. "NO".After such a Terrible Customer Service experience, and Outrageous prices for 1 pair of slacks....I won't ever go back in that store again. And I recommend others to do the same.

Hands down the best customer service I've had in a long time! The Christmas rush was in full swing with people lined up trying to return or exchange, but the staff member lost their cool! The line moved quickly and no one left without what they came there for! Awesome staff worth 11 stars!

I’ve always loved shopping at JC Penney’s because of the wide selection of clothes. My family went shopping today and was unsure of clothing sizes. Since fitting rooms are closed we had to take our business elsewhere. What’s up with that? We live over an hour away and can’t afford to buy clothes, take home to try on, then need to plan another unplanned day to return the clothes. Opening the fitting rooms seems minor compared to loosing customers!

One of my favorite stores, however, thier selection of men's cloths has gotten worse and worse. Used to be a great place to buy a suit, now very weak. I guess if they want to be a sports/ active wear only, they have done a great job.

Wasn't sure why they charged me tax of $1.75 on the WV tax free weekend on all clothes purchases for back to school. I didn't realize until I had left and I spent $350 for my granddaughter and I guess paying only $ 1.70 isn't bad. But it is the principle of it.

Employee said they were signing me up for rewards. Come to find out they applied me for a credit card and it dropped my credit score almost ten points. So now I have a card I either have to use or cancel and drop my score further. On top of that I was never even enrolled into the rewards program.

Good luck getting any customer service. The registers are always backed up, clearance is a disaster to look through. Mens Jean's never have the sizes you need. The racks are too crowded. Don't buy regular price, they have frequent sales & will call other stores if they don't have your item. It is one of my regular places.to look for clothes. It seems that they.jump from juniors to seniors with their styles and completely forget about the 40-50 yr old that want to look nice but not like a teen or an older woman.

Not a very good selection of dress shoes for men. But it's that way every where I've been . Especially brown slip on shoes. When shopping look where it's made. China, or in another Country. Been that way for years. Cant find clothes made in America. A lot of empty shelves in clothing stores. American businesses going to other countries for cheap wages to make more profit and pay millions to the top executives every year. Start looking to see where your money is going.

Make sure they take your sensors off of your merchandise when they check you out or you will set off a VERY loud and embarrassing alarm at the door and then have your bags searched and be made to walk back through the doors infront of all the other shoppers.I was Christmas shopping when this happened to me tonight. Ofcourse it ended up being the jewelry I had just purchased for my mother for Christmas that the lady did NOT deactivate but that didn't stop all the judging eyes from being placed on me, the fact I was exhausted and didn't feel like having my 10 Christmas bags searched, or that mine and my child's life could've been turned upside down in a second if something on my body would've been setting the alarm off incorrectly..I'm just really starting to think I'm going to find the best places to order my things online with zero shipping and just have it delivered or just do curve side service.On the positive side, there clearance prices where descent and the had a large clearance selection I'm guessing because of Covid and less in-store shoppers this year... But you can't use any additional coupons on clearance deals and that's just ridiculous!Merry Christmas!
