Spent one night here for a personal trip. We had a king suite and the room itself was very clean and nice. Front desk gentleman (this was overnight shift) was very pleasant and took care of us. This night would have been 5 stars. However, next night we made it back to this town and needed another hotel stay, so we chose this location because of the great first night. It was in the middle of the night, roughly 1am, and could not find front desk help to book a room. Waited about 10 minutes and went across the street to Holiday Inn. They did not have any vacancies so I came back hoping there'd be someone. Nope. So, sadly had to find another hotel. Shame because I do recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean hotel.

We had a one night stay at the Bridgeport location for a hospital procedure. Treated ourselves to the "deluxe" one bedroom suite. We could not get over how dorm like and not "lux" the place was. The room is oddly shaped and feels like a hike from bedroom to bath. The furniture was hard and uncomfortable, as was the bed. Black spots in the bathroom shower which I suspect was mold. Overall not a great stay and I cancelled the next hospital visit booking and moved to another hotel.

The hotel had oversold two of our rooms held in reservations on the first night of our family summer vacation. The front desk person Joe. was cold unconcerned and offered no assistance other then there was nothing he could do. Upon calling the corporate complaint office they forwarded the call back to Joe at the hotel. How would you feel?

The front desk employee was excellent. Got us a better rate. The rooms are great, large, very clean. We had a suite with a kitchen, everything was new and very clean. The breakfast had eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffle maker, yogurt, pastries and much more. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in town for a baseball tournament.

Loved this hotel, rooms are a great size and super clean. Staff and Management, specifically Amy was wonderful and super sweet and attentive...this was the first time visiting west Virginia. We requested extra blankets and got them right away. Breakfast was delicious, waffle maker a plus. there was no pressure from the staff to hurry even though we were there just a few minutes before it was over. Looking forward to returning to West Virginia love everything from this hotel close to everything I do recommend this place.

I will start out by saying that the rooms are really nice but I can't say the same for all the staff. One lady who does breakfast on weekends and house keeping just a few days a week was absolutely amazing out of all the staff she was the only one who did not make you feel uncomfortable i wish I could remember her name to give her the thanks she deserves. The female manager was just snotty and carried herself in a I'm better than you way along with most of them staff. My family stayed there for a while due to a traumatic event without mentioning any agency names we weren't there for our enjoyment and were made to feel uncomfortable the entire time. There is a company if I remember it was an oil field company that workers stay pretty regularly the owner whose name is chris walks around intoxicated most evenings with nothing said to him even when he is clearly showing that he is under the influence. Most importantly I'd like to add that when we left we left in hurry and ended up leaving a lot of food and other belongings in the cabinets when I called the next morning at 10am I was told that house keeping had already gone in and thrown all of our things out even after knowing that we were given no time to properly gather all our belongings and was only given 4 hours to vacate and what our situation was for the reason we were placed there to began with and knowing that house keeping doesn't start until 9am. So they do not hold guests belongings for 30 days like their policy says. This hotel stay was the most uncomfortable and degrading stay. I highly suggest that the employees mostly management understand that some people (guests) are dealing with some of the hardest situations they will ever have to go through while staying in "their" hotel maybe not make them feel less then and uncomfortable would be the kind thing to do make the feel welcomed because you have no real idea what they are going through and the pain and stress they are carrying with them and what they are up against while they are staying there!Noteworthy details: Do not hold belongings left for 30 days like policy

I recently started traveling again since the pandemic started and of course the fear of exposure is still a concern however while staying at this hotel I felt safe. The rooms were spacious and very clean.the staff all wore masks and followed the recommended guidelines. Everyone I engaged with from the managers all the way to groundskeepers were so friendly and professional. They even had treats for my dog at check-in.. Best experience in hospiity ever!

I do not recommend this hotel for those planning for a wedding. Weeks after booking my hotel block, the sales team canceled the block I had reserved for guests and my reserved room, for my upcoming wedding. Amy was nice enough to inform me ASAP of the sales team's decision, as she did not want me to find out last minute and have no where for my out of town guests and myself to stay for the event. The sales team and hotel staff should not allow wedding hotel blocks to be booked, if they will then choose to completely ignore the reservation and block, to extend another long-term groups stay. I had my block booked prior to the long-term stay group wanting to extend their stay, and the sales group chose to cancel my block in favor of them. This was very unprofessional, I do not want any other brides to have to deal with this unnecessary stress, and I do not recommend this hotel.

Our go-to stop when we are traveling through. Dog friendly with nice safe walking area, several restaurants within walking distance and quiet area. Always appreciate Hawthorn Suites welcoming our pet. The staff is always courteous and helfpul.Safety: We feel very safe working to nearby restaurants and strolling with our dog.

The staff was amazingly nice! My husband and I arrived very late and were extremely tired. The greeted us with warm smiles and had our room keys ready for a quick and easy check in. They gave us a corner room for an easy exit to take our dogs outside. The room was gorgeous and very clean! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I would recommend it to EVERYONE!

The absolute nicest stay! Quiet, clean, comfortable. I highly recommend. An excellent breakfast and really nice dining area. All the staff I saw were very friendly. Cant get over it, the place was full but it was if I was there alone. Nice, big steamy shower. Comfy furniture. The kitchen was well equipped and spotless. I didn't want to go out and eat. Next time I'm staying in. The lobby and common area were decorated in good taste, interesting and inviting. The best! Cant wait to go back! Peace and quiet, felt spoiled.

Title: Disappointing Experience and Lessons LearnedI recently had an unfortunate experience during my visit to this particular region, and I feel compelled to share my observations. I must emphasize that the following remarks are based solely on my personal encounter and should not be taken as a reflection of the entire area or its inhabitants.During my stay, I encountered significant challenges pertaining to transportation services, which unfortunately led to a feeling of abandonment. While I acknowledge that individuals are not obligated to assist others, I found it disheartening that the employees there were unwilling to help. with no reliable uber, lyft, taki available in the area and in an effort to secure a ride to the airport, I even offered a generous sum of $50 for a mere three-mile journey. I had expected that, as part of a satisfactory customer experience, someone would extend their assistance in this situation. Regrettably, despite assurances and apparent willingness, no one came forward.It was only through sheer luck that I encountered an individual who was kind enough to provide me with a ride to the airport just 30 minutes before my scheduled departure. This individual happened to be the only person of my own race(black) that I encountered throughout my entire stay. Reflecting on this occurrence, I cannot help but wonder my experience being influenced by my race. While it is impossible to ascertain with certainty, it has given me pause for thought and raised awareness about the subtle biases that may exist especially in some areas of this country.In light of this incident, I have realized that there is a valuable lesson to be learned. It is essential to address and rectify any systemic issues of discrimination or bias that may persist in any society. Discrimination based on race or ethnicity is a deeply concerning matter, and fostering inclusivity and fairness should be paramount in every community.I sincerely hope that my experience will contribute to a broader conversation on these important topics. It is crucial to remember that individual encounters can vary greatly, and it is unfair to generalize an entire region or its inhabitants based on one negative incident, but i the feeling of abandonment i felt i would never forget .Moving forward, I encourage open dialogue, understanding, and proactive measures to create an environment where every person, regardless of their background, is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

Very nice room with a great little kitchen. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the sliding barn type door for the bathroom. It was a pain in the rear. I also didn't care for the short edges of the fitted sheets, they kept falling off the bed. The bed, however, was very comfortable.Very pretty hotel with lots of extras. My favorite was the outdoor patio with fireplace. I spent a lot of time there.Breakfast looked better than it was. Had to heat everything up in the microwave as nothing was warm. The potatoes had obviously been in the pan for hours as they had a very stale taste. I felt like it all would have been better if it were fresh so I recommend eating early or just going somewhere else if a good breakfast is important to you.We did have a couple of issues. Our TV wouldn't turn off. We asked the lady about fixing it but she didn't seem much interested in doing so and kind of acted like we were dumb. The next day, our key card quit working. She rekeyed it. Still didn't work. For some reason didn't want to just give me a new key so instead left guests at the counter to follow me to my room and unlock it with her own key. I thought that was odd.Overall this is a great location and in walking distance to some restaurants. We also got a good price for a suite and having that kitchen was very nice. We would probably come back.

Thank you so much for a flawless trip. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. I couldn't believe how beautiful the outside was, with roses blooming everywhere. We loved breakfast, and when the coffee ran out it was immediately replaced with a fresh hot pot. I have stayed here before and I have had this experience every time. It is always a pleasure to spend time here!

If I could leave negative starts I would. I attempted to block off rooms for September and the manager Amy told me that was fine and she’d email me the information for my party to book. A WEEK LATET, she called me to tell me they decided to let a larger party block off instead. Ridiculous customer service

I have stayed here twice because of how close it was to hospital. Love it..so new and pretty. My 2nd stay, however, showed a greater need for attention to detail. My dachshund who was with me, found a skittle candy under the bed. Ok. Not a huge deal however, he also found a battery under the chaise lounge and someone's pill also. Thank goodness I watch him closely and retrieved it. What if a baby/toddler found them and ate it..it could have caused death or serious injury. The cleaning staff needs to pay attention to these details.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was in regards to the set up of the kitchenette. The refrigerator opened up against the door. This prevented the outside door from properly opening, as well as not being able to fully access the fridge. This should be addressed.
