I have bought fish several times that died a few days later. I know that it wasn't my fault as I bought fish from a different store and they lived for a couple years. Same with snails.

I am continiuosly disappointed at the aquarium life I see when I go here. I walked out with out purchasing once due to not approving the way the care had appeared (or lack there of in this case) and went back and decided to give them a chance anyway. I purchased two fish that didn't make it beyond a couple days. (At the same time I had purchased other fish from two other stores, and all fish were addded to an already established well planted, maintained, and tested tank.) I called after the weekend and their polcy is 24 hours. For a store with such short policy, they should aim to care for the fish in stock in better conditions. I will not be returning.

This place just moved to a new bigger location, and you’d think they would’ve remodeled to make it look nice and new but if you really look, it doesn’t look even remotely new… they are 1 out of probably 2 pet stores in our area, & I only go here bc they have slightly lower prices on a couple aquatic products. I’ve been wanting to say something to the employees about their Betta fish “display”, while I know these prison couples are sadly the norm for pet stores, at least the other one in our town keeps their water clean every single day. This place however, their cups have a fog on them where you can barely see the fish as is, but add to the fact that they never change those cups of water for those poor babies, I have to take the lid off to see what they look like. Every single fish is clinging to life & I leave infuriated bc I stand & watch them lying on the bottom just staring at the surface trying to swim up to take a breath. They’re labyrinth fish & can also breath air. Most of these guys probably die & if not, I’m sure after spending nearly 10$ for a nearly dead fish, they die when ppl take them home. They have a very small rack compared to the other store, & it would take no time to insure they had clean water everyday. Most people don’t know (& most employees) that just bc you see these bettas in those little cups, doesn’t mean that’s how they can live. If you get a pet to actually care for it, bettas should have AT MINIMUM 5 gallons (some say 2.5 is ok) A HEATER, they are tropical fish and need 78F at the lowest, & a filter to ensure good water Parameters. Don’t forget the nitrogen cycle!The argument about keeping them in a flower vase with some marbles & them living for years isn’t usable & here’s why: I’m sure you could survive in a coat closet for a good while if someone fed you everyday, but I doubt you’d be thriving.Please take care of your bettas better. Just give them clean water everyday, it’s not that hard. Or stop buying them to let them sit on your shelf & die from living in their own feces. I’m actually surprised they’re even worth buying for this store at this point bc I know almost all of them die before being bought.

The aquariums…wow…lots of dead fish, dirty. Poor fish. Not taken care of at all. Looks worse than when Walmart sold fish! I was gonna purchase some cat toys but will not be bringing my business here. Disgusting.

After I inherited my Mom's darling Cocker Spaniel from VA I had to call several groomers in Clarksburg and Bridgeport.. No one had appts available and my baby had matted ears.. She desperately needed groomed ASAP.. When I called Eastern pet supply.. Leslie got me an appt the following day and explained and offered to help get the necessary rabies paperwork from my Mom's vet in VA... She told me it could take up to 3hrs or so.. Upon my arrival Savannah was ready and took our baby girl in.. Savannah explained she would do her nails, ears, and probably have to cut a lot of her hair due to the matting..I was shocked when I received a call in about 2hrs to pick her up.. She was all done.. Got there and she was so beautiful..I highly recommend Eastern Pet Supply.. Very personable and professional. Savannah did great work!! And the price was great! Thank you! Update..10-31-19 Another great job, by a different groomer.. she was so good she didn’t even have to use the muzzle!!

Be cautious ordering from this business. My order was lost and after reordering on the day of delivery I called to confirm my order arrived and was told it came in but once I got to the store they didn’t have my order it in fact was even ordered. They told me I would need to order again or try another store.

Great selection of healthy pet products. Not a big box chain; a local business. I go for the Pure Vita salmon cat food but always leave with other things as well. Helpful staff, too!Update:New location across the street from the old. Bright green exterior so easy to locate. More room but the same great selection and awesome staff.-Came in with a problem and they had solutions I could pick from. Very knowledgeable and helpful!-They didn't have an item I was looking for, so they got it for me.

Bought a Love Bird there for a Christmas gift. It appears to be healthy and everything I'd hoped for. Was able to purchase the proper feed and accessories. And the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Normally I've had great experiences here until today. Called and placed a hold on an adult bearded dragon, told my kids we were getting another one! They were so excited! Walked in and the bearded dragon was being sold by the lady who took my hold! We have spent thousands of dollars here on snakes, tanks, rabbits and feeders here. Never again.

I hate to say it but when I come here I usually regret it. I ve gotten a few fish here and they've either died or were sold to me as the wrong type of fish. The plants if they have any look horrible and way over priced. They don't sell fish the same day a shipment comes in which is usually Tuesday and won't sell plants either... The treats that my cats love are triple the price here. Ive never seen a decent deal here. Staff don't seem overly concerned much. The dog daycare/grooming can be overwhelmingly loud as there is no actual wall dividing the areas and the echo is intense. The plus is they have adoption events for cats.

I purchased a dog harness for my small puppy. It was obviously too large when I brought it home. I was told I could return it within 24 hours for a refund. I went in to return it and they took 10% for a restocking fee. I asked if I could place it back, they said it’s “just the policy”. I come into town a couple times a year and spend ~ $50 on over priced dog treats and bully sticks. I’m fine with that. Support your local business right? I do not understand the mindset behind charging your local customer base a restocking fee on new unopened item. There are other pet stores and big box retailers in town to compete with, competition is not only pricing. It’s the customer relationship and transparency. I’m fine spending a little more on things to help the local community economy. I would not have noticed this restocking fee if the harness wasn’t so expensive. I feel this is a shady practice and insulting to local customers. Unfortunately there will be no more supporting this business but instead trying another pet store or sadly, lining the pockets of the executives at large online or big box stores. I hope the owners see and read this review and change their practices. This is new to me. I don’t know of any of their competitors who do this.

I cannot believe people giving this place even 2 stars! Recently my two daughters stopped in to surprise me with another female Betta fish to add to my 30 gallon tank. I have a sorority with 5 others. They sold my daughter’s a male which cannot live in the same tank because they are aggressive and will fight them and just chase them around until they die. There was nothing marked on the container and the sales person was not sure totally but said you have 24 hours to bring it back if there’s a problem. Not even 10 hours later we called the store and asked to return it. We explained the problem, and was very nice talking to them. The lady on the phone said, basically, we will not take any fish back for any reason and too bad, so sad. Even when we explained they sold us a male she said they cannot do it or even refund credit. I don’t know why they have aquariums because they are poorly maintained. They are also very overpriced when it comes to supplies for aquariums. I will never shop there again. I guess it’s worth the trip to Morgantown.

I have always had great experience here until today. My husband came home from getting food for our snakes. Said there was an adult bearded dragon for sale. I said to go ahead and place it on hold and we would go get it. He called placed on hold. As we arrive to see and purchase our new baby, it is being bought right in front of us by the exact same worker that took the call to place on hold. Worker stated she "forgot" to place the bearded dragon on hold. My kids and I are heart broken. We have bought numerous animals and feeders here. We will now go elsewhere from now on.

Wow. Yesterday I called to see if they had a bark collar for large breeds so that I could “shop small” as the sign says. It was ten minutes to eight when I called and I told the woman I was on my way to buy it. Traffic at the Emily drive light was particularly bad and I arrived at 8:05. The woman saw my at the door and waived me on. As a small business owner I find this astonishing and appalling. I guess that small business is doing well enough that they don’t need my money. I guess I will give it to chewy then. I will absolutely never shop here again.

Always friendly and prompt service. Most people that work there are pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Bit on pricey side n I would rather go to a "local" mom n pops shop instead of giving big box stores my business but when ur wanting $8+ dollars for a single cookie for ur dog that's a lil ridiculous if ask me. Make it reasonable for ppl to shop at your store esp with the economy the way it is! Just something to think about! I understand needing to make a profit but cmon a Christmas cookie for a dog, almost $9 that's a lil much!!!Update when we were in there tonight no one asked us if we needed any help or even spoke to us. Granted it was 20 mins before close but thought that was a lil odd.... I had to find someone just to ask for cricket's! Feel like since they got their new location the prices r over the top and customer service isn't what it used to be as before when they were across the street!

This place was absolutely horrible. The fish tanks had clumps of dead fish sucked into the bottom of the filter. All of the animals looked half dead and wouldn’t move. There was a a single cat by himself in a mesh tent his claws kept getting stuck in, that we were rudely told not to touch. I feel bad for all of the animals here, not to mention the workers I heard screaming at the dogs in the doggy day care, and banging something off of the wall. Do not bring your pets here and please rescue any of the pets from here you can. I’ve never felt so bad for so many animals in my life.

It's been several years since I've been here, and now they've moved to a bigger, better store (right across the street from their old place). They have just about anything pet-related that you could think of, plus many adorable little animals that you can look at (and you can pet the rabbits!!). They even do doggie daycare, which is awesome! I could see all their happy little faces through the fencing. Very impressed, and I will visit again real soon.

We went here to purchase a Beta. My granddaughter loves looking at the fish and pets. Her Beta is very vibrant and seems happy in her new home.
