We rented this house on Airbnb to stay and ride the Hatfield and McCoy trails from Bramwell and we were very happy with the house. We had 3 trucks and trailers, 8 people, the house was very clean, had no problem with having enough hot water for showers (while being mindful of each other having to take one) we never ran out, and the front porch and fire pit were great to have in the evenings to hangout by. It's a great option to rent!

A historic Manor in a great location. If you are researching places to stay near the Hatfield and McCoy  Pocahontas trails, the Bramwell Hill Manor is very close to the trailhead, is on a hill overlooking Bramwell, close to the Corner Store, and is near highway access. Staying at the manor made us feel part of the community.The house has plenty of parking, four bedrooms, a great front porch with a view over the city, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and wifi in an area where cell phone signals are faint at best.The host was inviting, gave us a tour, and provided helpful answers to our questions.Staying here eliminated an hour's drive to and from the trails from Bluefield each day. Without hesitation, I would recommend Bramwell Hill Manor.

Our group of six adults stayed at Bramwell Manor in June 2018; it's not stated in the information from the website , but there is a VERY steep hill on a curve to climb in order to get to the house. Our 20 ft car hauler pulled by a four door dodge pickup scraped going up the hill to the house.Parking our trailer was a challenge as well, while parked heading up the hill you have to back in on an extreme angle on a very narrow road. If you rent this house and have a bigger truck/trailer you would have a difficult time getting in. We had two rigs in our group and it was tight parking.We had to clean the house when we arrived, there's no pictures of the bathroom for a reason. There are no bathrooms on the main floor, both are upstairs including the shower. The hot water had a hard time getting upstairs, lots of cold showers this week.I will say that the air worked well, and the location to the trail head was very close and easy to find.If you stay here, ask around and find Bud, he's a local who stopped our fire one night and offered to take us to the "top of the world" it's the best experience and view you will see and it's not on the Hatfield McCoy trails.

Great place. Very clean and nice. Easy access to the trails, a variety of food and gas. Would recommend if you want a nice historic place to stay while enjoying the trails. The owner goes the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable.

Great place to stay. Very clean, lots of space, nice people to deal with. Beds were very comfortable. Parked 2 trucks with a 16ft and 20ft gooseneck trailer in thier parking area. It was a little tight but it worked out with a little room to spare. Great location to town, walked to eat every night.

Im only giving a 1 star because I have to. This was my interaction with the owner. Note he makes no attempt to apologize for anything and blames us. Our showers were taken after 10pm each night so how would I call? And call me crazy but I dont want some Joe off the street coming in wondering around while I'm not there with all my stuff there. He said we could check in at 9am which is what my friend did. I got in at 11pm. We had no hot water, garbage every where, the shower head fell off the rack, dirt all over the floor and in the microwave, scraped the whole bottom of our 22ft trailer trying to go up the hill which is never mentioned, and the house smelled like old urine. Only good thing was ac, fire pit and trail access. Dont stay at this place.<br/>I would like to address a couple of your issues The person that wanted to check in early and I was there to check them in long before check in time and I went thru the house to make sure that it was suitable and he had no problems with it. I told him to let <br/>me know if you need anything during your stay.<br/>The floor was not covered in dirt when we walked thru. I did not get down on my hands and knee to look under the beds. The linen is clean and changed after each renter <br/>As far as for number five I told the person that checked in early that I could come back the next day and see you about paying the balance, he said no problem that he would take care of it.<br/>If you were so dissatisfied with the house why didn't you call and let me know about the problems with the house when you were staying there instead of a week later. If I was that dissatisfied I sure would have let the management know then not a week later. If you had notified me at the time these things took place i would have came down and took care of them and may have considered a restiution but not a week later. <br/>My legal advisor has read your email a has advised me not to make restitution. <br/>Mike
