This is the absolute BEST cat cafe/rescue I've ever visited! I've never seen such happy, relaxed, friendly cats - great care and environment for them! A must stop in Berkeley Springs - just pay the $10 and visit all day in the spacious rooms full of cats and cay amenities downstairs... or run upstairs to the kitten room like I did! Ended up taking two sister kittens home with us!

Absolutely wonderful place. All the cats are friendly. If you just sit quietly, they will all come up and sniff you, some will just curl up in your lap. I have not been at a car rescue or cat adoption agency that has cats as well socialized as here. We had been looking for over a year to add two cats. We did not go here with any intention other than to donate to their organization and sit with some cats, but we ended up finding two loving sisters that are a great new addition to our family. Thank you Kate for your help.

We were visiting from NJ and missed our kitties so we stopped by. We spent a couple hours here, admission let's you come back all day so we ate lunch then stopped in for a few more minutes 🙃. Im a vet tech and already have 6 cats but if I had room Granola would have came home with me!!! There were a couple grumpy cats but for the most part everyone was happy and everyone was well taken care of. Other reviews mention the smell, the litter was constantly scooped but yes it smells like a typical shelter environment but it's not terrible. I would definitely adopt from them in the future, especially since I would know that the cats are cat friendly unlike a regular shelter where it's hit or miss. I also bought a couple toys from their gift shop and knew my cats would love them because the cats were attacking my bag while I was there 😂. Definitely recommend stopping in if you love cats!

We found this place by complete chance and it was magical. I love cats this is a must whether you’re staying in Berkeley Springs or just passing through. Once you pay for the day, you can leave and come back. Next time I’m in town I’ll be sure to pop in and out throughout the day. While I was there I saw a cat get adopted. It was beautiful. Thank you to everyone who works here for what you do. All the cats were so content❤️❤️

I had an amazing time visiting for the first time. Super easy to walk in and enjoy. Unlike many cat cafes, there was no time limit for our visit, which was much appreciated. There is a large room with many adult cats on the first level and a gift shop with lots of cute and fun items. The second floor has a room with timid cats (they were very friendly still), and a room with kittens. I found all the cats to be super friendly, and the cats that didn’t want to be touched let you know in a friendly way. I loved it and am looking forward to visiting again soon.

We had never been to one and figured why not? We spent a lovely 1.5 hours visiting with the cats and giving/getting lots of love. One climbed on my lap, another different mind being held for a while. A few kittens got tuckered out by my husband using a string on a stick toy to play with them. Such a lovely place, especially if you are looking to adopt a cat.

Absolutely wonderful place for cat lovers. Much better than having them in cages. God bless the folks who run it. They have kittens and toys to play with them but also quiet rooms for the more docile cars. The souvenir shop had a lot of great items too. They could use better ventilation though, as the smell was a bit overwhelming.

Such an amazing place! SO much credit goes to the wonderful staff for being able to maintain such a clean, safe environment for all of the cats and the visitors! All of the cats deserve forever homes someday, but in the meantime, you can tell that they are loved and well-cared for. My family and I went in only with the intention of playing with the cats...but ended up adopting two!

They take such good care of those adorable kitty. We cannot adopt any cats because we are not from the US so we were super sad to leave without one. Go visit and adopt a cat or more from them.

This place is amazing. $7 at the door and you can stay with the kitties all you want. Its a two story house and the cats roam free. This is a cat lovers dream and all cats are adoptable. There is a kitten room upstairs for litters if they have any. You really get to interact with the cat before you think of adopting them which is amazing! The staff were so pleasant and know the cats well so you can ask any questions on temperament etc. They have a small gift shop with all cat themed items for purchase to support the shelter. I had so much fun with the cats here and you will be surrounded by like minded people too!!

Stopped by while on vacation in the area - was so nice to see all of the (available for adoption!) animals being well taken care of. Highly recommend visiting if you're looking to adopt a cat. Would come back again in a heartbeat!

Had to stop in on our way home to Michigan. I've only ever been in one other "cat cafe" and this one is huge in comparison! Very friendly staff. Adorable cats and kittens. Totally worth stopping and donating to their organization.

We go here to play with cats every few months even though we have three cats at home. All of the cats here, including a room full of kittens, are adoptable. This cat cafe, in an old Victorian house in Berkeley Springs, is one of a kind.

This place was beyond amazing. Nice staff. 3 cat rooms. So many cats to meet. We drove 4 hours to be here and it was well worth it and I will do it again.

Amazing cat sanctuary! You can pay a small fee (pre- COVID) and pet kitties all day long. This Victorian home is a no-kill shelter for cats in all stages of life. I live out of state but visit while driving through. Last month, I finally adopted 2 adorable orange kitties, and they've made me a very happy 'cat mamma.' They came spayed and neutered with all shots along with a detailed personality profile so you know exactly what kind of gato you are getting. <3 Give purrs a chance also has a kitty room with its own YouTube channel so you can watch them play and a sanctuary room for timid or shy cats. Find them on petfinder or Facebook! You won't regret it!

A wonderful place (they have a kitten room you guys. a room. full of kittens.) with a wonderful staff. Entry fee goes right to the cats (so to speak) and it's for the full day so you can absolutely leave for lunch and then come back. Great place to relax, do your homework, or just spend six solid hours playing with cats.Edit: Worth noting that a good two years after writing this first review, I wound up bringing home two kitties. :) I love them more than anything and adoption was so stunningly cheap that I thought the price they gave me for both cats was for just one!

We stopped here while on a long vacation weekend in Berkeley Springs. Love this place! We are not able to adopt at this time but we stopped by to snuggle the kitties and give a donation! I fell in love with Avocado toast. He is a sweetheart with the most beautiful eyes! We will be back!

This is a real gem located in beautiful Northern West virginia. If you are even close to this region, consider taking a detour and stopping by to see all the incredible work they are doing.It's amazing how good all of the Cats look, they are allowed to roam through the house and you can even go into a separate room for all the smaller cats and kittens are kept.My wife is very involved in spaying and neutering cats in our local area and I can tell you that these types of services like what are provided at give purrs a chance are so needed, and don't forget this is a 7 days a week around the clock dedicated job that these folks have committed themselves to.Keep up the good work!

This is truly a unique establishment for this area. A big beautiful old house full of kitties to meet. There is even a kitten room! I went with a friend for a visit and then I took my daughter back. We went thinking it was just to visit but ended up finding a perfect little cat to join our family. Everyone that we interacted with on our visits was kind and knowledgeable. This is such a neat organization! Definitely worth going even if it's just to visit, but don't be surprised if you end up falling in love with a new furry friend.Also they are great about posting the kitties on their website and Facebook I had a look both places before visiting.(Picture is of our sweet girl adjusted, happy, and home)

The staff were very nice and friendly. The kitties were obviously well cared for and loved. Enhanced ventilation might be a great investment, due to a strong litter odor.

This is an AMAZING PLACE. Come sit and show love to the kitties i believe its up to 50 in this old converted Single family home. You get to socialize with the kitties and find the one that will take your breath away. Ahhhh that's my kitty ? ADOPTION IS BEAUTIFUL.... Come on down today....Every kitty deserves to have a FOREVER HOME.

Great place to adopt a cat! The application was thorough, but easy to complete. They let me come and meet the cats, and when i wasn't sure if i wanted to adopt the ones i picked out online or another that i met while i was there, they were totally cool with me going home to sleep on it. I think the $125 adoption fee is very fair considering you get a fixed, fully vaccinated, vetted cat. Most of the cats there were really friendly, and they had a good selection of ages. They're doing a good thing here and i would encourage people to check them out, whether you are looking to adopt or looking for a fun place to hang out petting cats.

We love this little slice of cat nirvana in Berkeley Springs, WV!! The cats are well taken care of and the people who work there are amazing. Some cats have free roam about the house while some like kittens have their own kitten space and cats that need a little more peace and quiet have the Serenity room to chill out. We've been chosen 3 times now by our furbabies and couldn't be happier! A great place to go and socialize with all types of cats and/or to find yourself a new family member!

Too much to say about this AMAZING organization. Want to adopt a cat or kitten? Go there. Want to cuddle, pet,or play with cats or kittens? Go there. Need some volunteer hours? Work there.My daughter and I set out to visit the springs, but they were booked. After a nice walk around the area, we found this non-profit that works to find homes for rescus felines. I ended up emptying all the cash from my wallet because I was so impressed with their good deeds. We will definitely go back.
