The staff of the store was fine. I am not pleased, however, that the promised $5 promotional discount did not apply to the item I bought specifically because I went there to get the promotional discount. I will not be back soon.

This is your hometown hardware store. Everyone is always kind n helpful. A bit on the pricey side for me. They have a very good selection of Seasonal items like things for the wood stove pipes shovels buckets n lot more all the way in the back left i was just there and its alot of things for wood stove . They have building supplies woods drywall n more.Its not just a typical hardware store they shave almost everything . Plus sign up for there customer card n get free $5 for your birthday.They have dedicated tools paint dept. Also for the farmYou really should stop by and see what they have. You will be surprised.Aling with great Customer service that is hard to get these days.

This is the third time I've been to Dawson's Home Care Center or Ace Hardware and they were very helpful had the parts and stock I was looking for and were polite and were able to answer questions I had. I will definitely shop here again when I need something and I'm in that area. Thank you so much

I returned the U-Haul at truck and trailer there. The people there were very polite and friendly. They go out of their way to help you. I'd recommend Dawson to anybody who needs to rent a trailer or a truck. And it is very nice hardware store also. They carry lots of things.

Check your receipt.Although the staff is friendly here, and you can get almost anything you need, I want to point out something I've observed since we moved to Berkeley Springs in 1999. The price at the register is not always as marked in the aisle. I'm not talking dollars per item, of course. Yesterday I bought two packs each containing three small claps, marked as $1.59. The register rang up $1.69. The gentleman walked to the shelf location with me and said, "Well, I guess the price went up." I said, "Look, I don't want to make a big deal over 20 cents, but it seems to happen here all the time." He then charged me as marked on the shelf, as he should have done.Come on, Dawson's, get your pricing synchronised.

Very helpful employees.and well knowledgeable.today 2/17/21. I visited and bought some wood pellets.just to let you know they r very expensive it costed me 75 dollars for 11 bags.tractor supply would only been 55.dollars.so just saying very expensive.

watch mail flyers for sales, for best deals!many of sales items had to be ordered from warehouse, to be picked up in a few days.some salespeople very knowledgable and helpful; others, not so much, relying on those staff who ARE knowledgable

Was looking for 120v baseboard heaters for my brother. Website said they had one in stock. I called the store and gave the item number to verify they had it. Was told they did and that they had a whole selection of 120v heaters. My brother also called to verify as it’s about a 40min drive from us. He made the drive and they only had 1 heater and it was a 240v. I don’t appreciate being lied to. Very poor customer service.

I love Dawson's Home Center! Their prices are reasonable and they always have helpful, friendly employees available to help. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is that they close a bit early, but I guess that is to be expected in a small town.

It's the only game in town. Hunters doesn't count as they are only placed i have EVER called whom have not a clue of what, WHAT they even sell, it is artistic almost autistic. Back to ace. Buy Craftsman tools and buy stuff from Lowe's and have a Lowe's truck deliver it then sell the same product for two to three to four times more to the people keeping you in business? Well their greed and customers. Need a rental? BANG YOU BOTH WAYS TO DROP OFF AND PICK UP.! Then tell you why when you complain, rationalize it. Smart business would say it is X amout. THEY Tell you they charge for pickup and delivery . Like no Kidding, if I couldn't get it to me I can't get it back to you if you drop it off geniuses . Ace, Craftsman and whomever else, since they got rid of John Deere or John Deere dumped them, now they're selling whatever because that's what they do, they sell whatever. The older white lady who checks you out with the glasses and the pleasant attitude the black kid and the white guy with glasses are the only Pleasant people in that entire store. Brian Xena and the old man over at The X John Deere counter they couldn't be more obtuse or less obsequious for business owners. After the first couple of visits you figure this out and only go there when you need to because the ride to Lowes is not only worth it you can go out to lunch at a real restaurant because Berkeley Springs has nothing to eat except garbage but for the Chinese restaurant.

Wide variety of products that are needed in a pinch can be found at Ace in Berkeley Springs. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The building and the surrounding grounds are in desperate need of clean up.
