Happy Shopping!! The store was clean, had wide aisles, and had great deals!! All of which made shopping really nice. The associates were super courteous and helpful. It was nostalgic walking in the doors. DG occupies the space that used to be 'VALUE CITY' furniture... And the KIA dealership beside them is where VC sold clothes, toys, etc.

I'm not sure what happened, but the store looks and operates so much better. Since it's the only store for miles it means so much to see inventory stocked, and coupons advertised. Prior to the last few months neither happened.If managers changed I can absolutely see a difference! Good job!

If you enjoy mazes then you will have fun here, it's tough to decipher how things are organized, and many halls will have obstacle courses. The self check out only takes card and there is only one cashier usually there, if there is more than 5 people at once at checkout, then expect it to take a while to be checked out. Prices are usually high for it being a dollar general but that's how it is.

Great store. It fills the gap created by the closure of Kroger.The store is above par with the rest of the franchise chain.The current staff is always a pleasure to greet!Be safe.

This is the WORST Dollar General I have EVER been too. None of the employees act like they want to be there. Always understaffed. Doesn't EVER have food on shelves. The last few days they haven't been open past 6pm. I honestly don't know how this store makes money with it always being closed early or not having anything in stock. They need to get some people in there that want to be there and fix how it's being ran.

Went for a few items yesterday upon entering the store the cashier yelled at me that she would be closing in less than 10 mins very rude. Won't go again. I am a CNA work 12 hour night shifts.

This had to be the worst experience ever at a dollar general. Had to wait 10 minutes for a cashier ( 2 people just let their carts and walked out) and she was not friendly at all. Wouldn't help me get my coupons off of my card so I put that stuff back. Will NOT be shopping here again!!!

The store ALWAYS LOOKS LIKE A POST-APOCALYPTIC SCENE OUT OF THE WALKING DEAD. NOTHING IS EVER ON THE SHELVES IT'S ALWAYS ON THE FLOOR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLES.. CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU MIGHT AS WELL FORGET ABOUT IT THERE THEY DON'T HAVE IT OR SELL IT!!! IF YOU WANT TO SHOP DOLLAR GENERAL I SUGGEST THE ONE IN MCMECHEN..

Everything is cheap around a dollar you can get all your cleaning supplies there very inexpensive you can get 24 items for $25.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable in the Benwood store. But the store in Barnsville Ohio beware. Always take your sales register slip. I have got to my destination to find items missing and when you go back and ask them . You get.. .. IDK... idk always i dont like shopping there unless I have to.

Love my DG.But don't care for the digital coupon frustrations though.They need yo have the cashier with a ready app to help on thier phone for store use only.Just saying.It would be very helpful.

This place used to be a better place to go to instead of family dollar...and i used to go jere to get 3leters of pop cux it was cheap and they had alot of name brand thingd and alot of off brand name stuff too for a realy good deal better then family dollar......their employees are very rude...the other day i qent their and didnt know they was remodeling and a worker girl came out before i even got out of my car and very rudly said to me and my husband" we aint open till tomorrow ...cant u read the sign" then i went in today and i askd a guy employee what happend to the 3 leters of pop? And he said " well i have been here over a year and we aint never sold anytbung like that." And i said yes u do ..i was just in here 2 weeks ago and got 4 bottles of 3 leter pop. And then they guy gave me and my husband a dirty look and laughed like kinda scoffed at us to a customer he was cashing out and pretty much said i was wrong even tho i was their 2 weeks ago and have a receipt from then too with it sayin that i got 4 bottles of 3 leter pop feom the dollar general in benwood. But both the employees on both different days were very very rude and ignorant . So i went to family dollar by my house and they had what i needed for a better price and friendlier employees ....so to all dollar general workers :" IF U DONT LIKE UR JOB OR WHERE U WORK AT ,THEN WHY THE HELL DO U WORK THEIR IN THE FIRST FREAKING PLACE? DO NOT BE RUDE TO THE CUSTOMERS AND DO NOT EVER TELL THE CUSTOMER THEY ARE WRONG , BECAUSE IN THE CUSTOMET SERVICE WORLD THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGJT EVEN WHEN THEY ARE WRONG THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT. AND ALSO REMEMBER IF UR TOO MEAN TO A CUSTOMER THEN TBEY MIGHT JUST GET U FIRED." Thanks ...And even tho they just remodled u stil cant find anytbing in the store either .THANKS ALOT😁MR&MRS.A.
