Beautiful art by local artists, local food vendors as well. Super clean and fun rest stop for us from a long drive. They had dog bowls outside for furry friends who needed a break too. The glass maker has a spot where you can make glass ornaments and bowls for a small price. The building is set up in a circle so you don’t have to double back which I thought was helpful as well. I recommend this place as the view is nice as well.

Everything WV made! Food-Beer-Wine-Art-Pottery-Blown Glass-Quilts-Wood works-a nice cafe for snacks and quick bites. Restrooms and fur babies are welcome. Nice place to stretch your legs and get out of the car for a bit. Nice area to picnic in the middle area. Tons of shopping ideas for gifts. Kind staff and very accommodating from the entrance all around! Fantastic place that exemplifies West Virginia! We had a soup tasting on Good Friday and had a blast with folks just passing thru from all over! Honey-Jams-Jewelry and more! Super close to gasoline and interstate. Hotels nearby. A must see!! Stock up on your unique WV items!

A great place for travelers to stop, look around at various amazing things that West Virginia has to offer. From craft beers, wines, maple syrup, candy, wood working, glass blowing. Always watch the actual artist in work in their studios. Pottery, hand crafted musical instruments and more. Stop into the Greenbrier Shoppe for coffee, and souvenirs or the delicious restaurant on the premises.

I have passed this area several times in my travels, but I had never stopped. Boy, was I missing out! This place is wonderful. I loved wandering around this beautifully filled market. There were so many unique items. I kept finding myself smiling just looking at them. I especially enjoyed the stained glass piece located by the bathrooms, the quilts, and the painted pieces. Honestly, everything was beautiful. I don't think I will ever just drive by this spot again without stopping. I am also hoping to schedule a class in the future. It's a bit far from hope what what a great experience!

Stopped here because for truckers, there was nowhere else to go. Snow storm came in, and the travel mart is under construction.. This center is of arts and crafts. Definitely nothing for a toddler to be in. One restaurant and store next to them with snacks and ice cream. I would say it had some interesting things inside. However, was looking forward to the travel mart.

We decided to visit the marketplace out of curiosity and looking for things to do. The fall foliage added to the picturesque marketplace building. It was welcoming, clean, well organized on both sides of the continuous main aisle with artisans wares on both sides with no walls in between. Many different displays of items available from, Pottery, Carvings, Woodworking, Inlays, Glass Blowers (actually making the glass figurines onsite), Quilts, Art, Stone clocks, Pictures and many other things. Of course there was a really good food court not typical, one where you would get in line, order, pay then sit and then food runners that got your food for you. The quality of the products appears to be really high. However, prices were in the range of do you really, really want it, then you'd probably buy whatever it was that you were looking at. And Yes we did do it....lol We enjoyed ourselves with the eye candy of looking at very nice products. So if you're in the area and looking something to do you might like it too. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed the crafts, picked up a memento to remember the place by. I'd certainly stop by again when the artisans are doing stuff. Very cool cultural center/marketplace.

We stopped for a quick stop while we were on a long car drive. A great place to stretch your legs with clean restrooms. They have such amazing wares from all local vendors. Some very beautiful pieces and a great selection. I think they are lacking a decent restaurant though.

Wonderful experience - so many WV artist's work here! We bought a few small things but is a good place to look for wall art, wood sculptures, candles, trinkets, t-shirts, glass items - there is a glass blowing work area and occasional demonstrations. And - a great restaurant! Casual dining and great food! Be sure to try the fried green tomatoes ~

Wow! What an amazing place to stop! There is literally something for everyone, including pets! I've been here before and it was nice, but you can really tell they are capitalizing on the travel plaza renovations, which I think is great! The food is delicious and there are so many options from grab and go sandwiches to sit down dinners! The hand dipped ice cream was a huge hit with my children! I also love how they have a huge room of books where they feature WV authors, especially Emily Calandrelli, my favorite! We will definitely be back here!

Very fun and unique shopping experience. When you go to check out take your items to customer service I felt really stupid walking around looking for cashiers. But aside from that it’s a great spot to pick up gifts or hand made goods, local artists really have put a lot into their wares that are here. The sculpture garden outside is really neat as well.

Absolutely phenomenal! Tamarack Marketplace's chicken pot pie is a savory delight that hits all the right notes. From the flaky crust to the generous filling of tender chicken and hearty vegetables, every bite is pure comfort food bliss. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the portion size is incredibly generous. Whether you're passing through or a local looking for a delicious meal, Tarmack Marketplace's chicken pot pie is a must-try. Five stars all the way!

This was a really neat place to visit with my mother. There was so many awesome craft and art pieces to look at. They had a glass blowing studio with lots to purchase. Quilts, gemstones, jewelry, leather goods, silver handmade earrings and jewelry. All kinds of really neat handmade stuff. The restaurant wasn't the best. I got a chicken sandwich and it was very bland. My mom got a BBQ sandwich and she liked hers. Overall this is a really neat place to visit.

Great place to stop in a Motorhome and boondock. Feel very safe here. The Marketplace is a really nice place to grab a bite and shop for some really neat things. I highly recommend.Update: they are currently rebuilding most of the truck stop area. Starting to see the new building take shape. The dump station and water fill are not available. Still a great boondocking stop!

This place is amazing from the cultural things of West Virginia to the books to the art the glass the quilts... I was amazed and I was so glad you all had semi parking. So I could experience this. The food was amazing and I think they need a cookbook. I ordered all kinds of stuff. Loved this place

I love going to Tamarack and seeing all of the handcrafted goods. It's especially good to see artisans there doing their talented craft. While prices are high on some items I know the work that goes into making items like that. I have done ceramics and know the time and effort of babying things to make them your vision. This is definitely a place you can go and get a handcrafted (most of the time the only one) piece of beautiful artwork! This is a wonderful showcase of West Virginia artists 💜
