It was very busy for dinner (Thursday evening) but our food didn't seem to be delayed, though sometimes it was hard to find our server. I had the Southern Fried Chicken (again) and it was delicious. My sides were my go-to fried apples and I tried the broccoli and cheese casserole which was great. My wife got the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken, which she said was very good and my daughter got the Chicken Pot Pie which was also delicious. Overall, another great experience.

This place was very welcoming. Our meel came out in a timely manner, hot and fresh. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to our large group. The restroom was very clean and tidy, the most important necessity during a long road trip...Parking: There was ample parking for my large truck and camper. This area is easy to get on and off the highway during my travels.

I love this chain of restaurants, breakfast all day what could be better. When we travel we usually hit one of these somewhere along the way. This trip was no exception. Food is good, hot, not expensive, and the people are always polite and service is exceptional. There are healthy choices on the menu. If I do not opt for breakfast the lemon pepper trout is very good. They have a great selection of sides. And just a fraction more than eating at a fat food place. The store is nice as well, they have a nice selection of local or state shirts, hats, and things that an old county store would have. I hope this chain never disappears.Parking: They have oversized partying when we are traveling with our camper.

Love dining here with Family and Friends. Food and service is great. Great location. Minutes from the interstate. We always start with an appetizer, fried pickles. We missed the eclipse but loved the free eclispe pancakes. So good! Tips, grilled tenders & shrimp with carrots and fried apples, meatloaf & mac n cheese, cornbread & biscuits, coffee & coke. We had to get some containers to take alot of it home. No dessert this time but their peach cobbler and double chocolate cake are delicious! No matter what you choose, you will come away stuffed. Ps. Be sure to check out their store. Lots of unique items & great prices. Something for everyone! Our favorite place to eat when we are in Beckley, WV.

I took my Grandsons just as the solar eclipse was happening. A few staff members were outside viewing and offered their glasses so the boys could have a peek. After we were seated, the manager came to our table and offered to take the boys outside to view the eclipse again as it was almost full coverage. A sight that my Grandsons will always remember and a restaurant they will always go to. Oh, and the food and service was great.Kid-friendliness: Staff goes above and beyond to make sure children have a great meal and experience.

I like Cracker Barrel, they have good food, good selection, good atmosphere, etc. Unfortunately, the service was not good on this visit. Hoping the waitress was just having a bad day and/or they were understaffed like everywhere else these days. It took longer than expected to get drinks, our food came before our utensils and she decided that taking orders from another table was okay (probably didn’t receive them for another 5 minutes while our food was getting cold), took even more time to get ketchup (had to get up to get it), didn't get a spoon for applesauce, waitress was pretty rude about all of it and didn’t handle it well. We will likely return to a Cracker Barrel since their food is good but it doesn’t help their image.

Food not the usual quality. They ran out of salad. I realize that the weather is rough and people call off, however, there's no reason management isn't trained in every aspect of the business. Cook, host, sweep, run a register, unload the truck, build a fire. Heck, I felt sorry for the poor fella who wanted a salad! Heck, I could've threw him one together in 7 min SMH. Guess I am getting grumpy in my old age. Aaron was great, Cathy was great, and our server, Pamela was great too! Usually, food is better than tonight.

Great place, excellent food, friendly staffThis restaurant is located off Harper road in Beckley off the north side of the I-64 Harper road intersection. It is on the north side of Harper road behind the Country Inn and suites. As with most Cracker Barrell Restaurants, there is parking on at least 3 sides of this location with RV parking as you first enter to the east of the site. The front has rocking chairs along the porch. There is a gift shop as you first walk in. You check-in at the counter. We were seated quickly and they were not very busy. We had a seat by the window. The waitress was very pleasant and took our drink order within a minute of our being seated. She was very attentive and responsive throughout the meal. We were there for breakfast and I got the pancakes with bacon (and extra syrup) and a tea. My partner got an egg breakfast and we tried the Biscuit Beignets. The food came out quickly. The meals were very good but I was not a fan of the biscuit Beignets. Prices seemed a little higher than the Cracker barrel that I am used to. The price for a meal and drinks for the 2 of us was $27 before the tip. You pay at the counter in the gift shop with whatever other things you may have picked up in the shop. The person who checked us out was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant eating experience that I would recommend for my hungry fellow travelers.

My girlfriend and I have eaten here a couple of times. The most recent time was during Thanksgiving. So, I'm a little late posting this review. The first time we ate here, the food was amazing. We left very satisfied. The second time, however, wasn't as great as what we remembered it being. I got the turkey dinner, and my girlfriend got the meatloaf dinner. Neither one of us finished the food on our plates. This was our Thanksgiving dinner as well. So we were disappointed. Maybe just a bad day. They were very busy. We'll probably come back again someday.

The food was as good as to be expected, not many place that you go to eat and the sides are better than the entree. Had fried catfish, and it was awsome. The store has done some upgrades as far as decorations go. A whole list of new antiques. This has to be a favorite for this restaurant. Now on the flip side the service was horrible, we waited to be seated for 15 minutes. They were not busy we were the only couple waiting. Once we got seated we waited another 10 for a server to come to the table. Once we ordered it took 40 minutes to get our food, I mean come on cracker barrel you can do better than that. Service alone hurts them more than anything. Now I know it could have been an of night so I wont doing them to bad. The get a 6/10.

We was here on 11/25/23 around 1pm This was the worst cracker barrel I have ever been to. You people I will say "management" need to get your act together and properly train your employees. We was told first time wait will only be twenty minutes, they kept taking people in front of us we ended up waiting hour plus for table of eight. Then waited another hour just on the food and The waiter kept forgetting are food and brought us bread with condiments without silverware by time we got it, it was cold. Plus forget some of food we had order also. Only good thing I can say he was nice to the kids! This is the first time visiting this place and the last!

My husband spent 90.00 on take out for Thanksgiving meals. The food was slimey with no taste.Extremely tiny portions less then half a slice of turkey. My husband reached out with no response from customer service or anyone. We were all so disappointed. Apparently customer satisfaction is not their strong point.

Enjoyed my visit. Everyone was curteous. The place was clean with interesting new store items that caught my eye. My server Dan was really nice, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to all of our needs! The tea was sweet, cornbread fresh, & my chicken and dumplings were hot. Just what I needed on a chilly West Virginian night! I'm always going to visit a Cracker Barrel when I'm traveling because of those reasons.
