I always get a little nervous trying a new groomer because you never know what you’re going to get. Winnie had her first groom here today and she is beautiful! I’m not sure which groomer I had but she was so sweet and did a great job! (Winnie was looking like a hood rat before we went in) she had a lot of mats so I was nervous about too much hair getting chopped off but she was able to do what I wanted without cutting her hair too short. (Ignore her bald spot in the photos. The groomer did not do that. She’s just nakey there) Winnie can’t wait to get pampered again

I had the best experience I have ever had at a dog groomer. Debbie and Tiffany were so knowledgeable and spent a lot of time educating me what would be best for my fur baby. What I initially wanted was going to be more expensive than the service they recommended. I could tell immediately they truly care more about the animals than just making money. Having just moved here, I am so thankful to have found a wonderful groomer the first try.

I switched to Duke's last year from a different groomer and am so happy I did! The staff is always nice, plus they're so gentle and patient with my dog who is very afraid of people. They are also knowledgeable about breed haircuts and do a great job with my cocker spaniel every time. Highly recommend!!

I am so glad we were referred to Duke’s!! They did an excellent job not only with the grooming, but also making sure our baby girl, Maci, felt safe in her new surroundings. They worked with her to calm her beforehand. Maci had already had a traumatic experience at a different groomer. Because of this we were very worried! We explained the situation and they did such an amazing job!! They were very understanding and showed such love for every dog that was there today!! We will only be using Duke’s Dog-gone Grooming with our baby from now on!!! ❤️❤️

I posted about Dukes the other day, but for some reason it’s not showing up so it’s asking me to post another review. This place is absolutely amazing. I have two very difficult dogs that will not let me cut their nails or anyone else’s and I have went all over the tri-state area, trying to get their nails clipped without Getting someone else hurt or my dog hurt in the process and I have never been to a place that was so great. They are wonderful they do great work and probably the sweetest people that you’ll ever meet if you ever had a question about going to this place just give them a call and they will reassure you, but I am so glad that I went there the other day for the first time because we will be going back. I can’t say enough good things about this place.😍 I’m obsessed!!

Absolutely fantastic! I take my 3 cats here every few months for a good shedding and flea bath. They do such a good job with the de shedding, far better than any other groomer I've taken a cat to. They got me in last minute for the cats, they were all very kind and were super friendly. They talked to my pets very lovingly as if they were their own.

I was nervous trusting someone with the coat of my Wirehaired Pointing Griffon puppy. There is not many of that breed around here. But I booked and wrote a long list of detailed instructions for the actual grooming date. Glenna came out and blew me away on how much she knew about the breed. She listened to my concerns and made me feel at ease when she informed me she had been grooming since the 70’s. I eventually folded those instructions up and let Glenna tell me more about her professional opinion. By the end, I was asking for her recommendations and had full trust in her. When I returned for pick up, Dukes didn’t disappoint. He looked great and was so happy there. You could tell he really enjoyed it when he greeted me at the front desk with a smile. I will be a returning customer for a long time. Trust these professionals at Duke’s… take it from someone who doesn’t trust many.

Friendly, clean and engaging. They were really good with my dog. She is a little timid and not usually friendly with other animals. But they were able to get her comfortable and willing to play with the other dogs. I recommend this place for boarding and will definitely use them again for boarding. I hear their grooming services are great and in fact when I picked up my dog they had given her an exit bath. She smelled great.

My little Zoey Dawn has gone to Dukes twice since I’ve had her. They do wonderful work and my little one love Glenna. She is the best. I’ve been to everyone In Huntington and surrounding area. I thought I was in trouble couldn’t find anyone that did it to satisfy me. Then dukes came into my life. Glenna came into my life. Thank you thank you. We love you and will never go anywhere else. ❤️❤️🐾

I absolutely LOVE Duke’s and will always highly recommend them! I know my fur babies are in good hands when they’re at Duke’s because the groomers truly love animals and it shows in their work. Not only are they so great at making my pups all fresh and clean, but they also give careful care to each pet’s needs, you know your dog will never be put in danger or mistreated, they won’t push your dog’s limits, and can work with you for dogs with special requirements. One of my dogs can be selective, so they will always make sure that she’s with her brother away from other animals so nobody gets stressed out! They truly are the best around and my dogs are always super pumped when I ask if they wanna go to Duke’s!

I’ve been going to Duke’s since Debbie took over ownership. Been following Debbie everywhere for almost 7 years now for my fur babies! She and her team are the best! So caring, friendly, and fun. My little guy Chewy literally gets SO excited when I pull into the parking lot. I barely even want to come pick him up because I know he’s having such a great day with Debbie and company. Great work, and care always given to your pets. They’re never caged and they’re treated like the family members they are to us, and to them. Highly recommended!

They have had good groomers but the scheduler and manager are just awful. Keep in mind we’ve been going there monthly for over three years at almost $100 per appointment. Here’s what happened:We had appointments scheduled every four weeks through the end of the year.Winnie's groomer got sick so they called us two weeks before her appointment and pushed it out an additional 3+ weeks. They also gave us the name and phone number of another groomer in case we wanted an appointment sooner. We were loyal to Dukes, so we didn’t want to contact the other groomer unless we had to.The scheduler called me today and told me that there was nobody that could groom Winnie tomorrow. Keep in mind that this was after he called and scheduled the appointment and I confirmed it twice through their system. He said it was a pre-booked appointment that he had not scheduled with another groomer. As I was talking to him and saying that’s not right because he scheduled the appointment with me he hung up on me. I use their text system to say that I thought it was rude that he hung up on me. He finally called me back and then lied to me about the appointment. He said he never made the appointment, but only put it as a placeholder. That was an absolute lie because their automated system confirmed it twice. He then lied to say that their automated system didn’t work very well. He asked if I wanted to talk to Debbie the manager. I said yes.After a brief hold, Debbie gets on the line. In a very calm and conciliatory voice, I say that I’m disappointed and a little pissed. She interrupts me to say, “don’t you dare swear at me, we are not gonna have this conversation if you cuss at me”. I said I didn’t cuss at you. I was just trying to tell you how I felt. When she screamed at me again, I told her that I did not want to do business with them, and to cancel all future appointments. I then did swear at her.

I was very impressed with the kindness a young lady named Debby provided to my puppy. It was his first time being groomed and he had just came from the vet. He was a little anxious at first, however she was so kind and patient with my puppy. I felt at ease leaving my puppy with her. They did an excellent job with his grooming, and I'll definitely start taking my puppy there. Plus it is right next to his vet, barboursville veterinary, which is extremely convenient. I was able to get him right in which I loved! I would definitely recommend their services.

I have known Debbie for years. She is an awesome groomer who takes loving care of all the pets in her care. She is hard working and goes out of her way to love on your pet. I live in Tennessee right now but Duncan will be paying a visit to get pampered the next tie I am there.

This is the 3rd time I’ve brought my golden retriever to Duke’s for trimming and grooming, and every time they have done an amazing job. I brought in a picture, and they recreated the look perfectly. From the front counter, I am able to see back and look at all of the animals being groomed. Very clean as well.

I’ve only been with the company for a few months, but from the start, clients have told me left and right how great the owner, Debbie, is with their babies. They have followed her for years. She has taught me a lot about bathing, grooming, and basic & thorough animal care. LaDonna, the manager, is extremely knowledgeable, as well. She’s been grooming off and on for 30 years, and knows a lot about the ins and outs of animal care, from home remedies to professional/medical. Tiffany is a MASTER at grooming, especially with poodles and doodles. She’s a perfectionist, and I’ve never heard anything negative from a client about her. Her memory is amazing. She can tell you what every regular client’s dogs gets, whether it’s her client, Chelsea’s, Debbie’s, or LaDonna’s. Chelsea is another great INCREDIBLE groomer. She will make sure your dog comes out looking absolutely immaculate, and she is the friendliest person you’ll ever meet. She loves to get to know her clients and their babies, and she will do anything to make sure you leave happy. All the women make sure your pets are in the best hands. I’ve never seen a place allow the dogs to run around and play with one another instead of locking them in cages while they wait (unless the clients request they be put up. We have cages and kennels for that.) Everyone has been so professional and kind. I understand why so many clients, both new and old, keep coming back!

My dog and I both love this place! They allow him to play with the other dogs while waiting to get a bath instead of placing him in a kennel like other places we previously went to. He also comes home with a BEAUTIFUL coat and smelling fresh . For all they do, the price is extremely reasonable as well . Will never go anywhere else for all of Diesel’s grooming needs .

Tonya was amazing. She was kind and patient and Reese was beautiful when we picked her up..The atmosphere was calming and the other fur babies seemed happy to be there.Have scheduled my other babies for a visit this week.Highly recommend this place. Would give them a thousand stars if I could.

I have a 12 year old rescue who is very afraid and reacts aggressively. Honestly, I brought her in thinking they would not be able to clip her overgrown, bent nails. Chelsea and another employee (I didn't catch her name) were AMAZING!! They were even able to muzzle her when my vet has never been able to put a muzzle or cone on her. I will never take her anywhere else. ❤️

We completely trust Dukes Dog Gone Grooming with our dog. When we rescued Stoeger the owner set up a time for us to bring him in so she could meet him and give us advice on his skin, his hair, his nutrition, etc. Stoeger loves his groomer Chelsea and clearly trusts her and feels comfortable with her. When we leave him there for his grooming we feel completely comfortable that he is well taken care of and safe.

We took two Standard Poodles in for grooming. Not only did they do a beautiful job but also the needs of the dogs were met. One dog was 10 years old and it was obvious she had been treated with care. She had been allowed to rest and was calm and ready to go home frisky and happily wagging her tail. At times she has been so tired and stressed from her grooming she needed help getting to the car. The other dog is a young teenage pup full of play and self importance. He also was ready to go home and was calm, playful but not over excited or hard to handle on the way home. Both dogs got home and slipped back into their routine as if they had never left home. They certainly enjoyed their spa day and were much less work for me to keep clean and happy with lovely groomed fur

I wouldn't take my Poodles to any other groomer. They look great and one of my dog's has Addisons which can be a problem when they are stressed. Debby handles her in such a calm and gentle way we don't ever have any issues at all.

She'daisy and I love Dukes Grooming. They greet us like family. She'daisy runs around the shop instead of being put in a cage. The girls listens to me about using unscented shampoo on She'daisy because I have breathing trouble. She does not fight about getting her nails done. They are a great grooming shop and they truly love their customers. They are reasonably priced as well. Where I was having She'daisy groomed before she wanted to go as soon as I get there but at Dukes she is having so much fun she does not want to leave she wants to stay and play. I am so happy my niece told me about Dukes.

I had horrible experiences here. They always gave me inexperienced groomers and the last one made a bad cut on my dog's neck. They have highly skilled groomers, but your dog most likely will get the new "guys".
