Nice place. A little pricey. I got a heated jacket for 229 bucks and got home to see I could of got same jacket for 199 with a extra battery at ace. Think I will check ace first next trip.

Way too overpriced. Spend the gas money, and just drive the rest of the way into town. Regretted it every time I stopped in to see if they had anything reasonably priced. They don't. They charge grainger type prices. Hard pass for me.

Always my local go to spot friendly atmosphere knowledgeable staff and a huge array of whatever you're looking for it's not home Depot it's not Lowe's so it's not high quality but they sell some pretty great brands and I have zero complaints about any products

id have given a 5 star rating for this store due to their friendly atmosphere and helpfull staff but apparently if you ask questions about the products you purchase from them your considered an annoying customer. I use this store at least twice a week and have spent thousands of dollars here but when i spent 5 or 6 hundred dollars on a new chainsaw I like to know what im buying and try to learn as much as i can about that saw as i can even when I bring one of my saws in for a simple tune up or repair i like to ask questions and try to lrarn how to do my own maintenance but when one of their top employees went into another local hardware store and decided to gossip about me to someone who knew me very well unbeknownst to the employee from hometown solutions i found that very immature and extremely unprofessional

They don't always have everything I'm looking for, but they're still handy to have around. I will continue to use them as my go-to source, before having to drive longer distances to get what I need.

The friendly staff greeted me as soon as I walked in. After seeing I was looking for something specific a very nice gentleman and if he could help. I explained exactly what I needed to do and he helped me find everything I needed. Wonderful experience. I'll definitely will return for future projects. I liked the feel and didn't have to deal with the stress of big hardware stores. Thanks again.

I have always received fantastic customer service with every visit. They have recently become a STIHL dealer and I quickly made several power equipment purchases as I knew the customer experience would be special. I appreciate the fact that they genuinely appreciate my business. Jeff and the entire staff have always been outstanding ambassadors of their business.

I bought a chainsaw here. The service is the best you'll find. I got home and all of the paperwork and warranty was already taken care of. Knowledgeable staff, friendly service. Can't be beat!

Great place for all your hardware needs. Plus many extra products to make your job or projects better. Large building and selection. Very friendly and helpful staff. I have been going here for years and they are always A++ service. Prices are very reasonable in my opinion.

Hometown Solutions hardware store in West Virginia is pretty nice it's kinda like home depot but a little smaller. Very organized and well-run place the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because many items are to pricey I think.But the only other big hardware store is like 20 miles away,so you're gonna spend money on gas anyway.

I have visited this place 3 or 4 times and have never been impressed. I like to shop locally when at all possible. This place is VERY clean and organized which is why I gave it two stars. They are grossly over priced and most of they staff give the attitude that they are doing a great service by waiting on you. Today I actually made a purchase of a ton of wood pellets. They were advertised by a large sign in the front for $199.99. I was ring up for $200 plus tax. While this is a mere penny, to me this is an ethical issue. Don't advertise one thing and charge another - no matter what the difference is. I told the cashier who looked as if he could have been the owner the forklift driver would need extenders and he said ok - a real lack of personality or gratitude for a $200 sale. The forklift driver was ready to load the ton on my trailer by had as they don't have extenders. What place that has 2 forklifts and sells items by the pallet doesn't have extenders??? It's like selling guns and no ammo! I had to make to round trips to a friend who loaned me extenders so they could load my trailer. This added 30 miles total to my day not to mention time and 2+ gallons of gas. There was never an apology or, gee that would be a great thing for us to get! When I worked retail and self pellets, half the tons we sold went on trailers.Anyway, my story just shows the lack of service that seems to thrive here. I do need to add, the forklift driver was VERY nice and was skilled. He has been the ONLY one that has been like that in my visits.

I always go in here since im remodeling my place. Ive never had a problem with customer service but I was watching a customer who came in with a teeny tiny puppy he just picked up and he came into the store real quick to buy something with puppy and the staff was a total ass to that customer cause he brought that little puppy in the store..really..OMG...I didnt see no harm in that customer bringing that puppy in real quick. Customer made a purchase...spent money in your store and you treat them like that..shame on you..but you sure took his money thou didnt you..what a disgrace...where's your manners and love for animals...I won't be going in there after that...and I spent alot of money in there....

This is a small business, some of the staf are ok, management are not consistent and can be a bunch of jerks. Something that happened to me. This store share the building between hardware and automobile shop with a sign of the automobile shop in the middle of the building under it an office door. I went in and asked if they can make a car inspection. There was this fad guy almost lying down in his chair, he answered me in this stupid way “and who is going to do that”. Very clear slack in costumer service. You know if I went through the wrong door or if the automobile shop didn’t open Saturday there is a thousand good ways to answer a costumer.

Nice place, but pricey, nice people and sum times they don’t hav what I need but between eastern building and home town normally u can fine what u need ?? But they both stopped carrying wood Panaling !! But to b honest I go to eastern building frist because the price is normally better there it’s a last resort to check with home town nothing against home town 👌

Usually have what I need. Prices are a little higher then the the big box stores but it balances out if you factor gas and travel time to winchester or cumberland
