We brought our puppies here last year and had a good experience. They're more affordable than Winchester vets.I am deaf and the staff was very friendly and took their time to communicate with me. I also came here with my fiancée and they were not homophobic towards us. We felt safe in this space. We hope we will continue to have good experiences.

I run a small rescue out of my home and took a French bulldog into rescue that was diagnosed with bladder stones and needed a nueter. This vet was highly recommended by another rescue and friend. I called and they were amazing from start to finish. Truly shows the love and care for helping the pet, and the rescue. The price was half of all the prices I received and I did my research. Thank you!

I want to thank Dr Shaffer for giving me the time to come back to pick my dog Gunners paw print up. As hard as it was for me to say goodbye to my best bud it was even harder for me to walk back into the building. I could tell you were very busy the night we brought Gunner in and you still gave us time to say our goodbyes. Thank you again for everyone's kindness that night.

We went to another provider who subjected our puppy Maggie to cruel treatment, even after we explained she was a rescue that had been abused. Augusta Animal Hospital was/is perfect. Maggie needed some attention on one of her ears. Augusta's staff was awesome, and Maggie had a polar opposite experience. She left happy and secure. Words do not convey the gratitude we feel knowing how good our fur-babies are taken care of. Thank you again....DaFunks Maggie, Otto, Cooper, Rusty and Jake.

Excellent care. Everyone that worked there was friendly. We were only there for the first round of puppy vaccines. But the tech and Dr both had excellent "bedside manner." They deal with small and large animals. Personal pets and farm animals.

Update: A year later and different pet and nothing has changed. So glad we found this office and appreciate all the work they do!Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't feel rushed at all and my puppy seemed to have a good experience as well. He didn't even notice when he got his shots. Highly recommend this office!

Had to put our cat Priddles down. He was aost 18 yrs old. The staff was so compassionate and the pricing was super affordable. She knew when she saw him that he had lost more weight and knew something was wrong with his belly before she even touched him. I feel confident in taking my pets here

One of the Best Animal Hospitals I've ever visited. The Staff is Great and they really care about Animals along with Dr. Heather Schaeffer. There is only one other Vet Practice I would ever rate as high, but it's over 100 plus miles away. When I moved I was so worried about finding another Veterinarian but Augusta Animal Hospital has exceeded all Expectations. So when I say one of the Best, it's a very short list at only 1 of 2 I would ever recommend.

By far the best place to take your pets, you're not just another dog or cat to them, they are kind, caring, take the time to help you, answer any questions, Dr. Shaffer comes out herself explains everything. The prices are very affordable, no matter who you speak to they are so wonderful. I can promise you if you decide to use them, you will never take your animals anywhere else.

About a month ago I went in with my grams to get her lab checked out. Our vet was so kind and really took time to make sure Buddy (the lab) was comfortable. He had a soothing disposition and a splendid attitude. Buddy had no hesitations, completely trusted him. If I didn't know any better, I'd say Buddy was his dog!

Dr. Shaffer and her staff are now carrying on Augusta Animal Hospital, since Doctor Hott recently retired. When my dog and I are out, we frequently meet other clients of Doctor Schaffer's. We all agree that we're lucky this practice is here. If you're looking for a vet around here, I highly recommend Augusta Animal Hospital. It's also a beautiful drive going out there.

I was having second thoughts about my dog Spike getting neutered,he was very patient with me and reassured me it was the right thing to do. My Spike came out perfect same as when he went in.
