My new favorite place for softserve ice cream. Today was the first time we visited, and unfortunately for us, this is the last weekend for the 2023 season. Can't wait for next year's opening. If you get a chance to stop by tomorrow, do it. I would have posted a pic of my ice cream cone, but I was excited to try it out, I forgot to take a pic. Might go back tomorrow to try them out again. If not, I'll be sure to post one next season.

Stopped in on a whim for dinner and LOVED it! Great service, fast and delicious! The fries were hot and seasoned perfectly…my husband got the Patriot and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. It didn’t feel like your typical diner/drive in food - it was way better! Plus we had to get a cone for dessert….so yummy and nostalgic! This place is a gem!

Good little food stand. They have a little covered space with 6 picnic tables to eat at. We got a few hotdogs, a plain, 1 with chili and cheese, 1 with chili, onions, ketchup, mustard and then 1 with chili, mustard and onions. 1 order of chicken nuggets, fries and onion rings. Once food is done they bring it out the side door for you. They forgot one of our dogs, but once I let them know, they apologized and made it fairly quick. We liked the hot dogs themselves and buns, which they butter and grill, unfortunately none of us liked their chili. It's a very sweet chili, not sure if this is a taste of the area, but we all scooped it off the dogs. Fries and rings were good. We then went back and ordered some ice cream, then gave us our sons cone for free, so they went way out of their way to make their error correct. Super nice people! They even brought our dog Lucy a cup of Ice Cream too.

It was about 20 minutes wait after ordering but it was worth it! They had a nice covered area to sit at. I had the BLT and it was crispy and the bread was awesome! Perfect stop after hawks nest hike!

Food is out of this world. My family all had pulled pork said best they had ever had! Fries and nuggets were awesome,ice cream delicious!

We visited here after our camping trip in summersville and it was amazing!! The prices are a little high but worth it!!!

Seems like there is a good menu selection, I had the Dixie burger and chocolate shake, both were very good.

I was hot, hungry, and dehydrated after riding all day. They sold me a really good malt at a fair price. It's a quiet town with so little traffic you can hear a child's laugh or the closing of a screen door in the distance. Do people realize how precious and rare that is in this country?

Stopped on my way home from hiking at Hawks nest and this is a must stop place, by far the best hot dog ever, homemade chili and slaw on a perfectly grilled English bun. The blueberry milkshake my husband said was the best. Fast and friendly service and good prices for the quality of food. Thanks Dixies!

My family and I were vacationing in the New River Gorge area hiking and exploring when we came across this wonderful little place. The onion rings were amazing, and the hot dogs were, without a doubt, the best hot dogs I've ever had. Don't be afraid to get everything on them including the cole slaw...wow!

Very clean. Best Philly I've had. Great burgers and hot dogs. Tried the mushrooms just added to the menu and they were great. The onion rings are amazing and the sauce they serve with them is great. Best cheese sticks and the fried pickles are great. We are taking Midland trail west home from Summersville wv. I'm definitely stopping by again!

Great little place to eat. The owner was very pleasant, even gave our dog a pup cup. They didn't get the veggies on our burger right, but it was a good burger. They have strawberry ice cream on Wednesday.

Stellar experience! Highly recommend the Double Dixie dogs WV style. The coleslaw and chili combination on their special buns was worth the stop on our way back to the eastern coast line. Bill the owner was incredible to talk to and made the experience that much more worthwhile.

I like eating at Dixie's. There food is hot and delicious. Drinks are cold. There ice cream is really good. The ice cream does melt fast. When you dont know where to eat. Dixie would be the place to go.

Finally somebody knows how to make a hot dog with chili sauce and it was good I mean it was really very good I will definitely be going back and trying out the rest of their menus and a bonus the food was fresh hot and the staff was very nice and pleasant
