Dr. Sam and her clinic run a great operation. I read other reviews frustrated about not being from the area and not having access to care, but honestly there are specific emergency clinics in Yakima and Kennewick just for that. We were able to make an appointment and be seen same day. It seems to me she is committed to her community and is careful to only take on new patients if she can provide good service. That seems very thoughtful and intentional. After meeting her and her team personally I can say we will be coming back. Excellent care for our two collie pups that is much appreciated.

As a breeder it is very important to us that each of our puppies are handled with care and love. Dr. Sam gives each of them a thorough health check and enjoys doing so. Dr Sam is far and away the best Vet I have ever had. She keeps our boys in tip top shape, and they genuinely love her. I would recommend Dr Sam vehemently to anyone that wants the same loving and professional medical care for their pets as they would for any family member. You won't regret it.

A month and a half ago I took my english bull dog in. She said he had pnuemonia and a miss shaped heart. Two weeks go by no improvement. He was declining very fast I had to take him to the animal hospital in tri cities. He did not have pneumonia or a mishaped heart. He had a severe ear infection in both ears. With all the medicine and help from our new vet in the end he could not walk or eat . Today I had to put my boy down. 6 weeks ago if she checked his ears, he could have had a better chance. His name is duke.

Dr. Sammi is honesty one of the best vets I’ve worked with, I’ve been a licensed breeder for over 15yrs an have worked closely with a number of vets over the years an out of all vets in Washington an some in Oregen she is the Best, she always takes her time an really explain anything I have questions about, does a very thorough job checking each an everyone of my puppies, I have always been able to be seen anytime I’ve needed it, not only that but by far the most reasonable prices compared to any vet around!! Dr. Sammi treats all my fur babies as if they are her own a they truly love her.

Wow, best vet EVER!!!! (can I give 6 stars?)My dog Cash was having an issue the day before I was supposed to leave for a week and she was able to squeeze him in last minute to look at him. That may not seem like a thing but based on how many people were in the waiting room, and cars in the parking lot, she obviously had a lot of appointments that day so her willingness to find 10 minutes is greatly appreciated! To make it more amazing, her obvious love and passion for helping animals was so so evident. Her calming nature towards Cash was amazing!! Even though she was swamped, Dr. Sam was super friendly and compassionate to Cash and myself. Most other vets (or people) would have let their hectic day show in being gruff or impatient, neither she nor her office manager Theresa allowed one ounce of anything other than "we got you."Upon talking to her during the examination I found out she is the only Vet in her practice. Seriously?!?! I don't know how she does it all while keeping the welcoming and helping demeanor!! I highly recommend Dr. Sam! I just wish there were more Vets like her!!!

Dr. Sam and the staff at Zillah Veterinary Clinic are outstanding. Dr. Sam takes the time to listen and understand her 4 legged patients and their 2 legged parents, and is thorough and gentle in her administration of care. We are so lucky to have a vet of this high caliber in our area.

I took our 8 year old Chihuahua to see Dr. Sam. He hasn’t been to the vet in a very long time. I was so nervous, but the Dr. and the assistant were so nice and patient. They listened to my concerns, and answered my questions. The lady at the front desk was friendly :) I can tell they love their job and love the animals. Thank you Zillah vet clinic! Our fur baby will be a patient there from now on

Veterinary waiting rooms might be stressful places to be at times, just like any clinic where care is needed. What I find is that when you get with Dr. Sam she really relates to pets, their owners and has great advice. Dr. Sam helped us with our dog that died at home. We were treated so kindly by the entire staff that when we were ready, we were excited to bring our new puppy to these wonderful, caring pros.

Our, now senior, dog Brodie has had nothing but excellent care from Dr. Sam and the entire staff at Zillah Veterinary Clinic. From a major surgery to regular office visits. I wouldn’t take him anywhere else! Our town is blesses to have them in our community.As for coming in without an appointment for an “emergency “… it happens. Let me ask…can you just drop into your physicians office for an emergency situation? NOPE! You have to go to the ER or urgent care office. Same applies to your pet! I have had to do so myself when my little guy ingested something he wasn’t suppose to. The pet emergency clinics (yes there is more than one) are located in Yakima.

Dr. Sam and her staff are absolutely incredible! I know my pets are in great hands when I walk through the door and they are always very knowledgeable when I have questions or concerns. They don't make me feel like a "silly" pet owner when I question things.Its great to find such a compassionate doc and staff that my pets love. This place is about the $ MONEY$ and NOT YOUR PET! Pets are our Best friends/companions and they don’t deserve to be pushed aside when they are suffering! If yr pet gets sick or hurt don’t bother Dr. Sam. I was shocked and disgusted when she left our cat suffering bc “there is only one of her”…the #1 thing I think we don’t want is our pets to suffer…and she doesn’t want to deal with it. It’s not keeping her up at night and it’s not going to keep her 15 min past closing time either. I would give this place zero⭐️🙀

My cats are traumatized everytime they leave this vet. In takes an hour or so before they are normal again. They make me wait in the car as they take my caged pet away. I dont know what they are doing, but its wrong. I will not take my pet to a vet that will not let me be there. The potential for neglect or abuse is too high. No trust.I they change this horrible policy, I may return one day.

Dr. Sam and her All Star Team of wonderful women are a part of my family. That is what I seek for my fur kids, rescues and myself for healthcare. I want to trust the professionals that I seek help for my furkids or myself. The family doc. I trust Dr. Sam to tell it to me straight and she does. Sometimes decisions are sad and difficult, but I know that Dr. Sam has given the situation complete consideration and compassion. She loves animals and it shows. Some of my rescues have been through a lot and are unsure, she gives them space and helps them to be comfortable. The pandemic has caused great change in how we do things and what is available to us in general. I am so thankful that Dr. Sam is there and trying to accommodate us the best she and her team can. It isn't easy and we all need to work together to keep our pets safe, healthy and content. I am so truly grateful.

My family has used ZVC since I was in about 4th grade. As an adult, I of course went to them because I trusted them. And one day I showed up and Dr. Sam was there. I was nervous as I didn’t know her. But I gave her a chance with my furbaby. And I am so thankful I did. She was so incredibly kind and helpful. My doggie absolutely LOVED her. I would tell him we are going to see his friend Dr. Sam. He would get excited and happy bark and helicopter tail. Several years ago he had to have emergency surgery, she called with regular updates, and every day that he had to stay overnight, I was updated with his condtion.Unfortunately he passed away early this year, he was an old man with some health issues. We recieved a card from ZVC expressing their sympathy.We needed to have doggies in the house to feel whole. We adopted two puppies from the humane society. Their first visit was of course to Dr. Sam. And once again my pups instantly loved her!She is always incredibly knowledgable, informative, and kind. She takes the time to explain everything to us so we understand completely. She has a genuine love for animals and their humans and it shows every single time we are there. While in the clinic room she treats us as if we are the only people and animals that exist in the world at that moment.When I hear of anyone looking for a vet, I always suggest Dr. Sam as I KNOW that their animals will be in excellent hands!

Dr. Sam has been there for us from routine vaccinations and nail trims to emergency procedures. She's the most compassionate vet I've ever worked with. Her team is professional, hard-working, and puts clients and their needs first. I can't recommend Zillah Veterinary Clinic enough!

We have gone to Dr. Sam for the past few years. (Our pets love her!) This past month we had to have our cat put to sleep due to kidney failure. The Dr. and her staff handled a very difficult situation with the utmost grace and understanding. I recommend them to everyone.

Very helpful in our 12 year old dog's final days. His euthanasia was handled by Dr. Sam with compassion, dignity and competence, along with kindness for our family. Much appreciated. The front desk is much more pleasant to deal with than several years ago.

Dr. Collins should come back. This place is sub par at best, and emergency services are non existent. Take your pets somewhere else to receive some, if ANY service.Also, if you read this don’t respond with an even worse reply than the phone call. Stick to overinflated prices and a lack of business acumen.

Horrible lady up front. We brought in our dog as I found him outside choking and having really bad spasms. The lady up front turned us away as, "The vet has too many appointents and is too backed up right now". Which I can almost granted they were for shots, as you don't make an appointment for an emergency. This place definitely doesn't deserve the almost 5 star rating. I hope the Vet working their sees this and had that woman delt with. Family members who have been there before have all agreed that when they came she was a total witch. I am still quite young and this dog has been with me most of my life and another dog of mine has gone missing so I couldn't handle the loss of another family member so close together in time.Note: Our beloved family member is fine now but that woman shouldn't be at a vets office turning away people with an emergency.Note: Our missing dog is a mini schnauzer and responds to "Jackson"

My husband has been a client of Zillah Veterinaty Clinic since Mike Collins opened the clinic. He has had more than a few dogs treated there, but no longer. Our 14 1/2 year old German Shorthair/Lab cross, Hunter (who my husband has had and been with pretty much 24 hours a day since he was six weeks old) suddenly started having grand Mal seizures Friday morning. He has been declining for a while, but was still enjoying life before Friday. After agonizing over the decision, Gregg called Zillah Veterinary Clinic right after they opened to see if they could end his suffering. The last time he had to make this decision, Mike told him to come right down, came out to the truck and it literally took only a few minutes out of his day. Friday, we were told they were too busy and couldn't spare five minutes to help us end Hunter's suffering. We had to wait several hours and watch Hunter go through several more heart-wrenching seizures before we were able to find a vet that would take the few minutes needed to help. We understand they are busy, but the lack of compassion for a long time client and patient has led us to make the decision to take our future business elsewhere.

Staff is extremely unhelpful! Theresa who I believe is the office manager has the worst attitude on and off the phone! If the manager has a bad attitude it infects their whole staff and the dogs can pick up on it. I dropped my German Shepherd off and the woman who took her back asked if she was aggressive and seemed really scared. As someone who has worked with dogs for years it concerned me that their staff would be scared of large breed dogs because dogs can pick up on that nervous energy. The Vet did a good job as far as I could tell but I wasnt in the room with her. If I could give this place zero stars I would! If the Vet truly wants her bussines to succeed you will get control of her staff as that is who enteracts with the customers. Don't take your pets here if you value your time and your pets safety!

I did not receive any good care for my cat a rare calico male i dropped him off to be looked at he had eaten and drinking water that morning when I dropped him off for help. But I guess they gave him nothing on fluids iv. Food water I'm not a regular customer so nothing was done now he's dead there fault ill never go there again no compassion at all some lady doctor. Or lying technicians. Not sure My sister christen Ellen cane DVM graduate of WSU alumni she sets standards for veterans and technicians she has a problem with negligence you don't like the truth sorry im a tec. There was negligence. I know procedure for sick cats. Don't trust them. Just the facts sorry NOT

The zillah vet clinic has been around forever and dr Sam is going a great job after taking it over. Their front staff is always lovely and helpful. They’re always really busy and that’s because people know they have great service, care about the animals, and are good at what they do. I prefer to drive down from Yakima and visit the zillah vet clinic instead of going to a Yakima clinic.

They will not see your fur baby if you are not from the Zillah area. I tried calling to get an appointment for my baby's swollen foot. When I stated that he was a new patient, the gal asked "Where do you live?" I told her Wapato. She then informed me that they could not see him and hung up.
