This must be a great place to work, if you have a step-counter, because you can punch in and spend 8 hours walking around the store, avoiding customers, and getting chummy with your work-friends, who rarely pay attention to potential buyers either. Go to Lowe's, Coastal, Wilco, Harbor Freight, or a smaller mom & pop place, depending on what you need.(also... expect to bring in their orange wheelbarrow yourself from the parking lot).There are good devoted employees here, who sadly have to take up the slack from unskilled $20/hour lifeforms.

1employee said she would have pavers down and 100 ready for me. I paid and drove where she told me to. NOTHING. I went in store where pavers were. NOTHING. A young man named Elijah helped me after I explained and showed receipt. He immediately told me to follow him in my truck and he would load them for me. HE DID! Very nice person. Loaded them and even cut his hand doing it. If all employees were like him more people would shop there!

I dont know who is doing inventory or if a lot a TON of their items are being stolen, but this store is one of the most disorganized HDs I've ever been to. No one had any idea where anything is, online vs. their system vs. what's actually in stock DOES NOT match at all. This isn't just one time, either. So far, it's been 6 times this has happened. I loved my HD back in Florida, but this one us terrible. You never actually know what they have, and apparently, neither dothe employees. It's dumb. Happy Hunting.

Went in this morning, The cashier told me that George an employee was going to help me with my load, but never came out to help me. I had to load all the bricks with me and my family alone. To be exact 288 bricks. Ridiculous!

John from the electrical department wasn’t very helpful just rude. I told him that there was stuff that we were looking for that we checked was in stock online. He told me they didn’t have any and we asked him if he could check on the shelves and he said he knew where everything was at and then I pointed them out after looking for the SKU numbers myself.

Ordered items on APP for store pickup waited 30 minutes after checking in, nobody brought items out. Then I got tired of that so I called like the sign recommended. After being on hold for 15 minutes waiting to talk to someone I decided to go into the store. Not my first time having to do this even at this store, I will start looking to spend my money elsewhere in the future.I'd the store doesn't have the competence to have a pickup option they should get new management to fix the store since the pickup program is a nationwide thing.Additionally while I was waiting I saw employees going out and bringing in a single cart at a time so it seems like staffing is not the issue.

Very busy early morning. Great for the do it yourself or preferably more for the general contractor. Crystal at the pro desk is AWESOME as always. Very professional, courteous and most importantly very patient. She should run the store in my opinion. Pro military as well. Orrrraaaah!!

My hardware place since it opened 💯✨️✨️,, I know where everything is so I don't have to worry about getting service 🤣I like the older staff, they are more people friendly,, they make one feel comfortable, not feel uncomfortable about asking for service. The younger generation needs work 🙄

I can find all of the items I need for planned or sudden projects. This place is fully stocked each time I visit and now uses lockers in case I pre-order small items. The only reason I felt that it lacks a star is because of the customer service station. We are usually helped at the customer service desk by noce staff; however, we have experienced unpleasant staff. There have been instances in which the lines are long at the customer service desk, and it takes unusually long to receive help with returns or with items that need to be picked up.

Employee customer service and help are shameful and appalling!!! Saw / heard an employee disrespect an elderly lady in a handicap scooter. When she asked for help, the employee looked right at her and just walked away, dismissing her completely. I decided to help the lady to the extent I could and then also tried to get her additional assistance. Two employees were sitting in the kitchen cabinet area, doing absolutely nothing but laughing and joking around. When I asked if they could help this customer, they both said they couldn't and just walked away.

(Yakima Home Depot my last straw)Had my wife return some items and she didn’t have my card used for the original purchase and they issued store credit which was fine until I drove 40 minutes round trip to make a purchase with the store credit and the cashier informed me I couldn’t use it because I wasn’t the one who made the return and locked it for 24hrs. Will be returning more items and purchasing at the blue box store and weening HD out. My last straw.

So a few weeks ago me and my other half went to get supplies and there wasn't a lumber cart where there are usually many. So we went ahead and walked around looking for a cart and grabbing the rest of our stuff. We saw carts full of product but none free to use. So we grabbed one from our side. Went back to the lumber side and there was an employee helping another couple decided what they needed. So my other half was grabbing sheets of plywood and they couple and employee were still deciding. My other half was almost done when the employees started putting wood on top of the wood we needed. So we dropped everything and went to Lowe's. So now all of our house and business supplies will be bought there.

They got some new employees who have no idea what Home Depot sells. But if you know what you need the depot has it. One of the employees told my elderly mother they didn't sell water sealer for wood there! Hahahaha Here's the water sealer. Hopefully the employee will see this. I did inform management that they had a training issue.

Had a delivery of materials get sent back twice. And let's just say the pro desk is an absolute joke. I would give it a lower score, but half star or no star was not available. Have brought all my business to Lowes and got the materials out quicker and the first time.

I haven't had the greatest luck with Home Depot lately but my experience tonight was 5* because of one employee at the Yakima store. His name is Robert and he was helpful, friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. He was covering in an unfamiliar department and worked it better than the regular guys. Side note: he's also the only person in months who has asked me for an ID to pick up my order.

This place has the worst service ever. There are tons of kids standing around. That kept sending myself and my 96-year-old client on wild goose chases. After 3 failed attempts. Begging after the first time, if they could get someone to help us, show us where it is. We would get this disgusted look and sent to yet another isle. After the 3rd attempt, I was exhausted and super mad. Had to raise my voice and get someone right this minute and take us to the riding lawn mower bags. To find out you didn't even carry them. We drove to Lowes. They took us right to them. With a smile. They took them to the register and then put them in my car. And thanked us. Completely different experiences. Left Home Depot an hour later, frustrated, tired, and knowing I will never return. Left Lowe's happy, and it took 15 minutes from the time we walked into the time our was loaded.

I have been to some bad Home Depots but the one here in Yakima is by far the worst in customer service. They only open self checkout but I pay with cash. Can't use self checkout at least not in the Yakima store. They send you to customer service with a long line and one service person bouncing between returns and customer service. Here is a thought. Hire real people instead of us customers doing your jobs. As much as I dislike Lowes at least they have real cashiers.

Given that this is a big hardware chain, you can count to find almost everything you need here. Sometimes some things may be missing, but I think that has become pretty normal since all the supply chain issues have been taking place. This home Depot has always had what I need when every to that I have gone. The store itself has ample parking space, and employees have always been available to assist me with finding items or giving me information about what ai may be looking for. In fact, I don't ever recall a negative interaction with any employee from this Home Depot before. I don't know whether other people have, but if you want to be treated kindly, we as customers have to respond in kind.

If you’re going to lock items, you may want to hire people to actually allow customers to buy the item. Went in to buy new grass trimmer and blower, which they have behind locked bars, no one around to unlock. I left store and drove to Lowe’s, was greeted immediately and was in and out with my new trimmer and blower in less than 10 minutes. I also got a better product at a cheaper price. Guess where I’ll be shopping from now on.

Loved it, loved the service and the employees and the delivery updates and delivery techs. Only reason 4 and not 5 stars is because you can't go and buy a washer and dryer and take it home. It is ALL order for delivery now. Took about 11 days. That being said, everyone was awesome and truly helpful!

Recently ordered a mirror online to get shipped to Home Depot for pickup. Didn’t receive my pick-up email after 2-3 weeks so I went in store. Long story short, they couldn’t find my order anywhere even though I had proof of delivery from FedEx. They denied me a refund unless I had the mirror with me physically so, I had to contact the actual customer service number to get my money back. Other than this incident, I’ve never had a problem shopping in-store.

ESMERELDA at Yakima Home Depot honestly helped us SO MUCH today. We needed a fitting for a natural gas line and WHOA. She is so knowledgeable and helpful… so grateful we came to Home Depot and for her help. We had been to FOUR other hardware stores and no helped us like she did! She not only was super helpful but she solved our fitting dilemma! THANK YOU ESMERELDA!!!!!
