Wonderful experience came into buy a new Stihl trimmer and the service was quite excellent. Maybe it is what is required by Stihl to be a vendor, but regardless the staff was super helpful and friendly and gave superb service.

Wow. Simple wow. This place was like walking into the store from a movie. Everything visible, clear, tidy, employees wandering around obviously very focused on tasks, but more than happy to put down everything at a moment to help find something or explain an item. Loved it. If only every store I've seen was half as put together as this one 🤣

Had a few projects today with limited time. Made three trips to Steins. I had incredible service by everyone I came in contact with. Excellent customer service especially Mike who went above and beyond to provide a simple solution to a more complex decision I had made. Love this store and it’s people.

So lucky to have this place nearby - our well pressure tank piping all needed to be redone after replacing the tank, Brad was an absolute expert and got us everything we needed to do it ourselves, even on a Saturday. We would have been lost without his help - thank you Steins!

I usually get great customer service when I walk in the door. It was the first time since the business was remodeled and the check out stations were moved.I like it better but you may need someone posted where the checkout stations used to be to greet the public and direct them to which isle things are located.

My washer flooded my laundry room and I looked online to see where I could get a wet/dry vac. I saw on their website they had one, drove there and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The gentleman that helped me carried it all the way to my car! Very good service!

I go to Stein's because it's close to my house. The people there are not very friendly including the Manager or Owner. The last few times that I have been there Michael was very helpful. Very nice. And I didn't even ask for help. What a breath of fresh air.

Only 1 cash register operating. So, line backed up about 3 deep...First time in this store. Therefore, had to become familiar with the layout of where their items were placed. Didn't seem like anyone around to ask/seek assistance from.Definitely appeared clean.

I went into Steins hoping to find a on and off valve to control how much water runs on my Hostas. They were most helpful answering my questions, even bring over another person to confirm that I had the right parts. They were great!!

My favorite hardware store. They have everything I need without having to walk around a huge store. They are remodeling right now but it was still easy to find exactly what I needed. I love that it’s in west valley too, so I don’t have to drive into town to pick up hardware or tools.

We have come here many times for paint, tools, electrical supplies, plumbing, little screws and bolts and many things in between. Each time they have been courteous, knowledgable and helpful in finding exactly what we need for all our projects. Cant recommend anywhere better.

I love the fact the store is clean, orderly and easy to move around in spite the pandemic we are in. I also love the fact they were also the first to enforce the State Mandate of wearing masks. Makes me feel SAFE!!!

The staff is always helpful pretty knowledgeable about whatever it is I am working on. The rewards program is cool because you get coupons. They have pretty much everything the big stores have but it is soooo much easier to shop here than the big stores.

75% of the time they have GREAT customer service. I don’t know why sometimes they DON’T. I usually think it’s trickle down so I assume there is a boss that finds customers a bother 🤣.

This is the best (and I think only) option for hardware on the west side of Yakima. Steins has long been a foundation in the area and strives for the small customer oriented feel. They certainly deliver on that!Steins has a decent selection of basic items that you would expect at a medium sized hardware store. No, they probably don't stock that obscure part for your project, but they have all the basics plus some. Their fastener (nails, screws, bolts, etc.) options are fantastic and rival that of the major big box hardware stores. Even better, they have an option to purchase "nails by the pound" which allows you to buy the right amount of nails for cheap! This is my favorite feature of the store! Since it seems like I always need a nail that's 1/4 longer than any that I have, this is great to have nearby.I give this place 4/5 stars because the lumber area is pretty lacking. They've got some plywood options and basic dimensional lumber options, but it's marginal. I don't expect a major indoor lumberyard, but I wasn't impressed by what I found. I did find a good sheet of plywood, but it took a little searching.The hours on Saturday and Sunday also leave something to be desired. They're open until 8am-6pm on Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday - which is opening 2 hours later and closing several hours earlier than the big box store. They've lost a LOT of my business simply because they aren't open.Prices are definitely a bit more than the big box stores, but there is almost always someone asking you if they can help you find what you are looking for. I'll pay a tad extra for local and service. This is a great option in West Valley for your hardware needs. For fasteners, there aren't many better options around!

By far the best hardware store in town. Great and friendly staff, if you come in a lot most times they know you by name. Almost everything you need for a project they have it, and the best part of it all is the Owens Meat Machine.

i went to Steins Ace Hardware today to have a propane bottle refilled.A young man, "Jace", came out and filled the tank. Had a nice chat while we waited. When i went to pay i discovered my wallet was missing. "Jace" offered to pay my $13.00 + bill so I could be on my way. And he did. i did go back and reimbursed him.BUT what service, What a generous young man. Parents nice job raising your son. Steins keep this guy around.Unbelievable!!!
