Don't shop this Safeway. I just came from the most rude experience in shopping. I'm a 71 year old black man just a kind hearted shopper with lower back pains, so I need an in store electric cart to get around when my back bothers me. When I asked for one, was informed by an employee that the carts were stored away because of theft. So I had to stand and wait while a rude overweight white guy employee, gave me dirty looks and made me feel like a criminal, probably because I'm black. He was looking me up and down as if I had a weapon of sorts on me, I was very disappointed but did my little shopping and paid for my merchandise. As i started to ride the electric cart to the customer service area where I first picked up the cart, I could hear over the loud speaker, for someone to stop me. Before I got to that area, I was met by that same really fat guy that demanded the cart. I told him I was about to surrender the cart and that I wasn't a thief. He just gave me a dirty look, no apology, no have a nice day, just threatening silence.If you like dealing with these kind of people, while spending your money, that's up to you. As for me, I have too many other options then have to put up with that kind of racist,, rude behavior. Never again! I was wondering why I was the only customer. Now I know! I'll never shop any Safeway again

Discrimination. There should be no reason why you can’t sell someone alcohol. Literally went to the other Safeway on nob hill and they had no problem. But the young female manger did at this location. I’m sorry you’re petty about young adults drinking on a Monday. You have no right to say what I can can’t buy as an adult. My ID isn’t expired and I’m over 21. Again. DISCRIMINATION. Whether you say it is or not. You probably thought I was some bum or drug addict and that’s why you didn’t feel ”comfortable”with the sale. She said she didn’t have to explain her reasoning to me.

Lack of care, high turnover or poor management? Nothing changed when the switched to a Safeway besides new hot food display cases that are always empty. Fred Meyer is close by or go to Safeway on 5th Ave.

They refuse to fire an employee who deserves to get canned. Recent experience; I gave a buddy a ride to go shopping and my girlfriends ex who happens to be an employee seen us. He is a stalker and fabricated lies to slander her and her family already, yet he still works there. He is continuing to harass her and now claims three of us jumped him in the parking lot. His name is Andrew, and he is an embarrassment that this company will not fire.

I just got a puppy and went through the pet supplies. I found the supplies were great and spent less on the puppy toys than the pet stores. The are as good as the ridiculous priced things I got from the pet stores too.

Amazing grocery store! Safeway had a great floor layout with inviting space, associated staff were accurate and great customer service! Closing manager gave off a atmosphere that just an't in every safeway! Great deals. Many products.

Love this store great customer service. The store has a variety of products and very high quality produce. The deli section has the best flavored fried chicken and you can order ahead for a large order, also they do party trays. They have the best tasty bakery.

I ordered a custom cake online for my kid's birthday party. I received the order confirmation, so it seemed like everything was fine. When I arrived at the bakery, they said they didn't have my order. I showed them the confirmation and they said they didn't make it. The decorator wasn't in that day and the bakery person offered to make something, which was nice, but still wouldn't be the same. I made a deal that I'd take a pre-made cake a discount, but it was nothing compared to what I ordered. I'd give one star, but they at least tried to make it right, but the system they use for online order failed completely.

I ordered 100 pieces of chicken from the deli and they had just packed it up when I arrived. The gentleman brought the two boxes around to my cart and was very cordial. Always a good shopping experience there. Thank you.

Their stock is getting a little better but selection is very limited. The deli and bakery are the worst, and still grossly over priced. I need to also add that i use the "Safeway for You" feature with my club card and this store consistently does NOT ADD SALE PRICES. I notice during check out that a lot of so called "sale" items do not come up at the sale price. I have shopped here at least 4x in the last month, and every single time i go I have to call attention to the fact that sale prices do not come up on the receipt, which then require that i go to a customer service booth for reconciliation. BE CAREFUL at this store if you care about price and check your receipt.

Best Grocery shopping experience I have ever experienced. Went shopping for flowers and a card for my Grandmother’s birthday, not only was my Cashier DeAnne patient and helpful she made sure I had everything I needed before I left. This is by far the friendliest Safeway I have ever been to in all of Washington. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Safeway on N 16th Avenue and Lincoln is getting worseabout having g cashiers in checkstands. They are becoming more and more like Walmart in regards to having cashiers checking you out. I don't like it!

If you buy something with the orange tag thats says...50% off.make sure you realy do get discount.many times i have had to go back and get my $.part of prob.THAY DONT PUT BLACK MARKER MARK THREW BARCODE.(like fredmeyers dose)if im buying a few orange tags i have them ring up seprate.

I almost always have a fair experience here. Lately I am frequently finding the products I bring home are expired. The cheeses by the deli are almost always expired. After I had gotten one replaced and went back a few days later to get more. I find the same problem. The orange juice too seems to be frequently expired. Staff is always so nice and not annoyed when we need to exchange products. However it can be frustrating to get home to find products expired and have to go back to exchange. It’s become a habit to check dates of every item when shopping.

I have prostate problems,and have to pee often. While shoppig at safeway lincoln store,had to go. Bathrm. Door locked. Notified personnel Waited over 10 min. For somebody to unlock. Never showed up. Went to red apple to finish my shopping their bathrm door was unlocked. Thank you. wont go back to safeway. Used to spend avg. 200.00 every 11/2- 2 weeks.

Only bad thing is customer service desk. Takes forever and no one ever seems to be working there. As far as groceries there always fresh and decently priced. Parking lot is really sketchy at night but that's not safeways fault.
