DO NOT EXPECT ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE AT THIS SAFEWAY. I just spent an hour filling up my cart with groceries only to find out that all the registers were closed. Only option is self-checkout. I had a ton of vegetables etc. It was 09:00pm on a Saturday night. They are open until midnight. There are no signs up warning that all the registers were closed, or will close after a certain time. I would have not started shopping there if I would have known that. If they can make a sign warning that a door will be locked after a certain time of the day, then they can also make a sign stating no checkers will be available after a certain time. No reason to hide the lack of service they want to offer their customers. The person in charge "Deacon" was not helpful at all. He basically blamed it on the management, which, of course, was not there. He didn't even offer to help me. I would have waited until nobody was in self checkout. There was hardly anybody there anyway. I left the store empty handed. What a horrible experience, and it was at a Safeway. WOW! Deacon gave me the store director's name, (Mark Ault), and told me I could call him tomorrow. We all know it is probably a lost cause. Online ordering from somewhere other than Safeway appears to be the next step for me.

Been my neighborhood store for 5 years. They are consistent. Have deals on what we buy. Always friendly and helpful staff. I do buy from nearby places but this store is my go to place of choice. The only reason I shop roseaurs is because they have better bacon and seafood over the counter! ;)Cheers

I got shrimp from the seafood department. The man working, Seth i believe, was very kind and explained to me what the difference is between Prawns and shrimps and we landed on Shrimp as what i was looking for. He made my shopping experience better than last time.

I’ve always gone to Safeway for short and easy shopping needs. I get my prescriptions filled her as well. But grocery prices are a bit higher so I don’t go here for large trips.

I went up to the liquor section and pushed the button. Just as I did, some man comes running around the corner and yells at me. He then retrieved my request product and proceeded to walk back to the front at almost a run. I have a bad knee and cannot move very fast. I got up to the self pay and there's no bottle and he's already running back to the liquor section. Now I'm standing there, not sure what to do. I ended up having to find ANOTHER employee to help me finish my purchase. This is not the first time I was treated poorly by this man, but it is definitely the last. I will not be returning to this store.

At the hot food counter I noticed that what I ordered was terrible the food was tasteless and the people that live in this area are extra helpful and kind I think they deserve better deli workers including the cook he's grouchy and everyone knows what you feel is what you put into the food you cook the Asian man is a grouchy and so is the guy with the glasses and black hair.

Went in at 6:45 to get china express, nothing left. Employee said it was closed. So disappointed! I used to work for this company when they took pride in product and customer service. What has happened?

I've lived right next door to this Safeway for 25 years, so I know this store like the back of my hand. Right now there are a few employees that are unhelpful and when I see them I'm like "oh God" 🙄as for the store itself, sure it's clean and nice but I'm waiting for some new employees to come in.

Samuel who works in the deli deserves a raise!!!! Defiantly the best customer service in a long time and he handled and made my food awesomely. Despite the long line and no help he kept a positive attitude and helped each customer happily!!!

I only go to Safeway for the China Express. If you get there when the food is freshly made its good. You have to get there before 4pm or they start running out of items. The cook is really friendly and does an excellent job. I only wish they stayed open or had fresh food available later.

Normally I have a pretty good word for Safeway.I was recently treated like I stole because I had been at Safeway several times for there white corn in a can which They had a sale from 4.29$ a can and lowered it to 2 dollars for member(Which still isn’t great but better the 5.29)I went back and they had removed the sale in the machine and maybe on the isle (I didn’t look)Let the guy know at the counterHe said he would be back after he checkedI asked that he just remove itInstead he did what he wanted and proceeded to checkWell I did not have the time to wait so I moved the rest of my items to the next check stand when freed up and scanned and payed then I leftThe next time I went back(later that night)The guy watching the registers accused me of stealingI go to Safeway very often and found this not only rude but very demeaningWhich is why they received 3/5Do better Safeway.

I get prescription threw Safeway once in awhile I get ice cream fruit or candy. Don't have photos to share. It is always pretty busy when picking up prescriptions.The good thing about Safeway if you're visiting out of town out of state you can always have your prescription sent to a different Safeway that's an awesome thing about Safeway I go to the Safeway closest to my home I like the idea that wherever I am I can pick up my prescription too Safeway because they're Safeways everywhere. Other than that they're pretty expensive in every other aspect okay we can get good deals there not often sometimes so hit and miss. I really have much to say about Safeway because I don't really use a store that much their workers I don't know they're not impressive not real friendly

Best Safeway in town IMO of course. Unfortunately I don't like the closure at night unlike most Safeways around that normally stay open 24hrs day but that is because this is Yakima valley thieves and killing each other so I don't blame business owners of course for protecting their employees and business. Anyways, kind staff clean store and that's what this is about.

Both grocery shopping and the Pharmacy provided good service. I was referred by another Pharmacist to Safeway as they carried the needed unusual medication. The wait was a little long but service was good.

I love shopping at this location. This is my neighborhood grocery store and I always have a great experience. The cashiers are friendly. Love the people who work in self checkout, they are always very helpful and friendly to my daughter and I. The manager is great, I like that he has no problem helping find an item or help the cashiers bag the groceries. All around great place!

This store is my local Safeway, less than a block from my home. Really like the employees and availability of grocery items. I really wish they'd convert to a super Safeway but am still a satisfied customer.

With as many people that complain about having money issues here and needing a job. I’m curious why is there always only one cashier. Is it per hours the can afford based off sales? Or staffing issues? Safeway across the nation always has pertinent and excellent management. Yakima to me every business in the retail market needs help. Customer counts depends on risk of reforming businesses of their normal structured way of work ethics! If business owners and CEO’s don’t interact with outside. Outside will never change!

Clean and well organized. Great staff in every department except the deli. I have had to wait for 5 to 10 minutes often for someone to help me when I've been literally the only person standing there. I generally would not complain. But these issues with the deli have been going on for some time now.

The Pharmacy Staff is Great, The are always nice, and work hard to make that department great. One thing that is Annoying about the department is the line, it is at times backed up to the meat department and the staff can not see how long the line gets, and it is Inconveniently slow. Today I was in a hurry and went I'm to pick up my prescription and the line was again backed up to the meat department. I left and didn't have time time to wait forever. Tje line needs to be visible and faster. If this continues Im going to go across the street and move my proscriptions there.

I tried again, disappointed again!I brought in 3 bags.Bought just a few items.Wasn't busy at all.I had to ask cashier Kevin if he was going to 'bag' my items.(Man b4 me bagged his own!) Kevin reluctantly bagged everything into 1 bag while I placed food from the deli in another bag. With a 3rd bag sitting right there, he crammed everything into 1....why? Why not split my items so it was easier for me to carry.Last chance. I won't be back.

I consider this as my neighborhood grocery store and pharmacy. Their membership program provides good discounts and points toward gas discounts. (I often pay 20¢ to 40¢ per gallon less than the pump price.) Their store brand products are often as good as the name brands, and better in some cases. My only beef is that some times an item I am looking for is out of stock, but I suppose that's typical for most stores.Edit: recently they added self-checkout, which I appreciate.

Clean restrooms, clean store and friendly staff. Store sales, discounts and members prices throughout store. 🤩 love the rewards of either reducing gas prices or free products in-store. Wheelchair friendly. Love the $5 deals on Fridays.

I worked here for 3 years, (good place to work if you're job searching, or a good first job for teens , or just in general.) It's my favorite grocery store , sometimes their prices are high, but you'll know the quality you get from the merchandise/groceries you buy from here will always be A1. Highly recommend this store.

Went to pick up some chinese food from the deli department. The woman who greeted us was rude and did not have a pleasant attitude. She did not wear gloves the whole time she served our food.We also noticed another employee cleaning, and instead of washing her hands before helping a customer, she changed gloves.
