Super cute bookstore!! Visited this place on a romantic, snowy Valentine's Day with the husband to purchase books for each other. He found what he wanted but they didn't have the book in store that I wanted. They offered to order it for me and ship it to my home since I live out of town. So nice of them to do!! It was ordered Wednesday night and I received it Tuesday morning...and that's with a Monday no mail holiday!! 📚This store also has a ton of gifts to choose from!! There's something for everyone from kids to teens to adults. I love this bookstore and will definitely stop by every time I'm in the area!! 🛍️💞💓

I love coming here. This is my favorite spot to come. Whether it's a solo trip, with my kids, or even a date, it is always great. The staff is amazing, quick to resolve questions. I love the way they gift wrap. Many times, I've gift wrapped my own books just because they do a great job, always make it special. I support local businesses 📚

Just ordered a gift for my wife from their website. Had a wonderful experience. I had a request for a specific edition and they personally emailed me with confirmation that they were sending it. Plus it arrived 5 days early!

I’m not a fan of the live music. It’s so overstimulating bc it makes the store so cramped. The set up is in the way of shelves and it made browsing awkward and uncomfortable. I was bummed bc I had a gift card I’d been saving to use but ended up just leaving bc of it.

great selection of books if you read and great selection of goods in general. you can find something for the whole family here.the selection is so good that i left with 4 books and the last time i can honestly say i read a book was in grad school.

Independent book shop and so much more. Inklings has a great assortment of books, truly something for everyone. But beyond that, they offer a wide variety and a unique assortment of other treasures pleasantly displayed throughout the store, of which are crafted or created by local people and small businesses around the PNW.The staff there are very helpful and ready to assist you in any way.One thing I enjoy when looking for a new book is checking out the staff picks. They often have very good recommendations of books that I would not have known about if not for their recommendations.In addition, if your purchase is a gift, they offer to gift-wrap it for free.Inkling is situated in Chalet market Square, which happens to also have several other small and locally owned businesses for you to check out while in the area.

I want to stay, my kids want to stay and we both want to buy half of what we see. This place is like a treasure trove for my family. They are a bit expensive or we might actually buy everything that we see! So many good things to say, but I'm biased as I love anything resembling a library.The people who work there make my day, they dont even try...they just are good folks. You could talk with any of them, they are like the neighbors you wish you had. And they work in a special spot conveniently located next to another locale I favor, coffee shop.I like their selection of books, the organization, the staff pick, and all the other wonderful little knickknacks. This place is my guarantee to find something for Christmas. They even gift wrap, doing God's work there.I love gift wrappers, books, and good people. If you do to, get in here!

Cute little book shop with lots of great books! The way the store is laid out is super easy to navigate so you're sure to find something. I loved the puzzle collection but wish they sold a few more boards games, but the ones they had did look fun.

I normally only go for manga and while the selection isn't as large as what you'd see in a big chain store like Barnes and noble, the selection is always interesting. It's sort of random, but I've also started several new series by just picking up whatever they have on the shelf. They also have sections for local authors, and have a friendly vibe that comes with locally owned smaller stores.

Edit: coming back to visit again, still as wonderful as ever. For a small bookshop they have such a wide range of genres and topics. I always find something good to bring home.A small book shop with a welcoming, home town feel. They were celebrating Pride Month when I visited which was AWESOME for a town like Yakima. We need more of that everywhere! They're dog friendly, have a fantastic kids book section and lovely, helpful staff. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Updated 6/17/22 (previous review is from 3 years ago) - Still an amazing local bookstore and one of my kiddo's favorite places! They have a fantastic manga selection, which is her favorite genre. They can order just about any book you need if it isn't on the shelf. They also have some great gifting items, too!---Great local bookstore with helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Perfect stop for a gift since they have more than just books! I picked up a book that looked like something my daughter would like to read. It was book three in a series and they were able to quickly order the first book for me, which Amazon didn't even have. It arrived within two days.

Local bookstores are a treasure. Keep them in business by buying your books from the Inklings instead of the internet.The people who work there are readers, and such a joy to talk to. Very knowledgeable about books in general, as well as something you may want to read and will make sure you have found what you’re looking for. Such a diverse selection of books, puzzles and gifts for all ages. Teachers get a substantial discount. They have events for authors. I love that they showcase local artists as well. And they wrap your purchases for free. They are my second favorite local business after Sub Shop. Thank you for being an important part of my life, and my families life. Hopefully for generations to come.

Love this place, it has so much more than just books!Amazing kids toys and baby items.Science kit, coffee mugs, purses made out of organic mushroom leather.Cat butt magnets.Hand lotion. It’s amazing. Lots of fun quirky items.

Enjoyable bookstore. Employees are friendly. Selection is great for an independent store. They will help you find a book if they don't have it. Parking is close and easy. Coffee shop next door if you want to dive into a book right away.

This place was great. Everything from books to gifts to cute gems in between. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the customer service was poor. The lady acted rude and didn't make me feel invited. Not sure if it was a bad day or what. Either way i was an outta towner and sure didn't feel welcome. Everything else was great. Made me want to stay and read. Very comfy.

Inkling's is one of the treasured gems of Yakima. This cozy bookstore is delightful, with a great atmosphere and well priced treasures.
