Just moved to Yakima and stopped by the store for some items for home repair. My first impression was the store was much bigger then other stores I have been in and was instantly drawn to the bbq section which i'm an avid fan of.The bbq section is huge with everything you can think of including beef tallow!! While perusing the section, I was approached by an employee named Zach who asked if he could help me find anything. I asked about Meat Church rub and he took me to where they not only had Meat Church but a huge variety of rubs and sauces. I then asked Zach a question thinking I already knew the answer to. Back story: I'm in the market for a RecTec pellet grill and many Ace stores in the midwest and east coast carry them but I have never seen them in the PNW. I knew that this store didn't have any RecTec's on the floor and assumed they didn't have any but I had to ask, and asked Zach about RecTec's. His eyes lit up and he told me they just had their first order of RecTec's arrive and would be putting them on the floor very soon. Long story short, Zach was incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable about all things bbq and low and slow. After asking him for his card, I learned he was the bbq section specialist and I can see why. I truly enjoyed my time speaking to Zach and walked away gaining some new found knowledge from him.This store has everything you can think of and frankly, I have never seen another Ace quite this big. They had everything you could think to include a section for home brewing beer!We are renting temporarily to learn the area before buying a home but trust me when I say that this Ace will be my home store and I will drive 30+ minutes if I have to, to shop at this store. I will soon be buying my RecTec grill from this store and i'm super excited I got to meet Zach.

Actually, a really good hardware store. Aside from carrying the usual DIY supplies, they have a really good home brewing section, and outdoorsman department. The cashiers are really nice and friendly, and the store is very clean.

Dan was rude me and my husband asked a simple question about a faucet and he response right away was "I don't know" instead of trying to help in any way he said that so unprofessional if you work at a hardware place you should "know" or at least especially if that's your department.

This Ace has many things in store and online. They even carry premium dog food. Theres also an auto parts store next door.

A very nice gentleman helped me get the 50 cent screw I needed along the way we got chatting about keeping fish which we both do. I picked his brain although I’m sure he had other work related things he needed to do but he was very gracious. He gave me some great fish advice that will help me out a bunch! This is what keeps me coming back to ACE, guys like this. I’ve been having a tough time lately and the five or ten minutes i spent talking to this gentlemen about fish of all things really lifted me up, thank you sir. You have no idea how much you helped me today

We went in to get a beer starter kit. The store is huge and departments are clearly marked so you don't feel lost. The outdoor garden area has pumpkins now!

This place is crazy great. Pretty much a full homebrew shop, plenty of fishing gear. Brewery in back...what more could you want...oh...tools...they have that too.

Great local hardware store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are comparable to national chains. And if you take your dog with you, you'll be stopped a few times by staff offering a treat. Sometimes I think my dog would rather go to Ace then the dog park.

The new location of this Ace has given them the opportunity to expand. I especially like the brew section and the grains I can get. It's great that they have a mill to take care of the grains you purchase from them. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I like that they are in the neighborhood.

Ace also has a great selection of yeti products (coolers and tumblers), patio furniture, outdoor plants, home brewing goods, etc. this is our one-stop shop for us — and they know my partner, jesse, by name which he loves.

Awesome new store! When they set this store up they did a great job giving the customer more of a variety to find what they would need to complete any project! Fishing section is a good one! Yakima needs more choices for finding the products to target the species found in our area! They put together a good section to find what a guy might need! And the store just opened, we can only look forward to them expanding their inventory! Good quality products to choose from!

The new store is very clean and nice. Great customer service, especially the good looking young man at the counter, as you come in the door. Very helpful as he went and got what I needed. It just seems a little dark in there........need better lighting.

Went Ace Hardware to have key fobs made. Jeff & Thomas helped me with Jeff providing primary assistance. I had NO idea there was so much to thisprocess! We were semi successful but most of all I just want to convey how GREAT & tenacious these guys were! I have been shopping at Hometown hardware when it was next to Joann’s fabrics for years. You could say I was a very faithful customer spending hundreds of dollars a year. I liked the expertise and the cashiers. Each trip whether they had want I wanted or not was not a problem because of the way I was treated. Today marks my 3rd and last trip to the new hardware location because I have experienced more disrespect and lack of knowledge from the employees whether I am looking for a nut or using a coupon. Today was the final straw for me. I have never written a review like this but today was the worst experience I have ever had in a local hardware store that relies upon the locals. Today I am choosing a different store and new owners.Thank you for responding to my concern and leaving me your number. Unfortunately when I called that number I received a message that this number is no longer in service. Though your concern might have been heart felt the fact that I can’t reach you adds more concern to me.

I like the new Ace. It is spacious, well organized, and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Now if only the prices were competitive with the Home Depot, then I would frequent this place. Today I paid two dollars more for a tube a caulk (Alex Plus). It is not worth the difference, but sometimes the convenience of location supercedes the will to save money.

They have a really great beer brewing section with a vary knowledgeable employee there who helped collect all the ingredients I needed for the beer I was brewing. The store is clean and organized.

This place is awesome. It's not your parents Ace Hardware. Best fishing tackle selection in the valley, I mean twice as much as Cabellas. Plus, if you ever wanted to home brew beer, they have everything you need.
