Cozy burger joint in a small town. Ordered that "Snake Bite". Honestly I thought it would be just biting into a burger and jalapeño flavor but when that bite happened I almost flipped backwards and didn't want to leave. That burger won my heart for sure. I live 1.5 hours away from this place but I'd drive out here just for that burgerKid-friendliness: This place has a corner for kids with toys and books. High chair is also included. Wilbur is a nice little farm town, and Doxie's is a nice little farm town diner. Lovely ladies in there, taking care of a busy Wed afternoon lunch crowd. We did call in our pizza order prior to arriving, so it was nice to roll up and have it hot in front of us. Pre-fab crust? Of course it was, and we didn't care dining 50+ miles from civilization. I ordered a BLT for dessert, and it was.....a BLT. Son got a Strawberry shake, and if you are a prolific traveler, you're aware little gems like this in the country know darned well how to make a good milkshake. Look, it was not michelin-star fare, but it was/is what every little town on a main state highway should be. A grub hut...

This place is great and is by far the best place to eat in a 100 mile radius!Burgers are juicy, well seasoned, and come on a toasted buttered bun. The pizza is also amazing and they even make the dough fresh.Save room for dessert as they also make homemade ice cream!We make it a point to visit when we are in the area visiting family!

Apparently, they don't have a bacon cheeseburger. So if you want bacon, it'll cost you an extra $3.$17 will get you a bacon cheeseburger, 1/3rd of bag of tater tots, and a large pop. I got deep pockets, but this price is pretty steep for a diner. I'll pass from here on out.

This diner is AMAZING. This is a classic diner with your average but amazing food, the burger was delicious and the "small" fries size was gigantic! Fries are pretty good but not the best, the little burgers were good. The milkshakes here are absolutely great and have much variety. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, amazing interior, it has a classic diner feel you just don't get anymore. Also the free wifi is great as well. 5/5 would recommend for any trip to Wilbur.

TLDR: No regrets! Highly recommend!Brought the family here for dinner around 6:30pm or so. Wasn't busy AT ALL, which was nice. Staff was SUPER friendly. Wife selected this place for the kid area they have toward the back(arcades, seen in some pictures have been replaced with a coloring table & some toys). Since they can only take one order @ a time, make sure u know what u want before starting an order, if it's busy(which happens @ certain times).GET THE 'SNAKE BITE' BURGER!!! ...if you love jalapeños(seemed cooked), cooked onions, bacon(mine was properly dark!😄) & cheese(menu says Swiss, but tasted like mozzarella to me -shrugs-) on yur burger like I do! It's NOT for dieters(HIGH calorie), but SOoo tasty!!They've LOTS of flavors for several kinds of desserts. We got a couple milkshakes. The strawberry one marked 'Fresh' on their black board absolutely tasted like fresh strawberries were used. It was fantastic! The Mint Oreo one was pretty good, but I think could've used a bit more mint & Oreo. Due to the thickness of the shakes, I recommend stronger, wider straws as the ones they currently provide get clogged when there's chunks & collapse easily when trying to suck thick shake thru them.The price seemed fair enough for a celebratory kinda dinner outing. Our bill was around $45 for what fed, AND thoroughly satisfied, 2 adults, an energetic 5 yr old, & a toddler. That includes the desert, of course.Overall, they certainly earned my recommendation. Not as a place to eat very often(it's very high calorie comfort food) but DEFINITELY for celebratory occasions. In our case we hadn't eaten out, like sat down in restaurant, in almost exactly a year, & wife didn't feel like making dinner for once.👍OH! & I almost forgot, their fries(both regular AND curly), and fry-sauce, are fantastic!(& we've had great & terrible fry-sauce before)

This is a top notch local eatery. Between the great food which was served fresh and fast with fantastic recommendations from our server I don't know what I like best. The burger I had was cooked to perfection, juicy, large and with thick cut vegetables. The diner salad my girlfriend had was fresh and hearty with large wedge tomatoes, red onions, shredded cheese and Texas style toast in a portion that would please anybody. I highly recommend this joint for food, ice cream or soft serve.

If u walk into this place u immediately get hungry beyond all reason. I've gone from tha burgers to breakfast and then some. Tha cooks in tha back know how to make delicious food that'll put a smile on your face and a gut busting satisfaction on your waist line. Not to mention tha girls that work tha front always make sure to keep attentive and make it that much better to sit and eat at a Clean well-kept diner. U have my respect and my word. Now get down there and give it a shot if u haven't already.

This is hands down the best burger place in town, in fact one of the best burger places around! They also have amazing soft serve, gotta try that salted caramel ice cream, also did I mention they do pizza? If the Krusty Crab every existed this would be it. They never cease to amaze me. We tell everyone to come here instead of other places in town. Worth it.Edit: (3/27/2020) Went for icecream, saw you had a deal on it 3$ for 1 scoop, we got two of them with waffle cones but you ended up charging us 3.20 each when I brought it up you said it was because of the cone we ordered, even though we paid extra $0.50 for the cone, that was a really dirty move. Also I did not see anywhere posted that you charge a 3% fee for using our card, next time I'll just give you our dirty cash. Food is still good but service is declining. Went from 5 to 4 stars. Don't advertise deals you don't honor.

FANTASTIC FOOD AND SERVICE and great atmosphere!! We only visit Wilber every few years. We love the diner!Today we had friendly helpful service from CJ and the best taco salad!! I absolutely love salads and this was was so delicious and so large that I couldn’t even eat it all. It is served in what tasted like a freshly baked taco shell bowl.We highly recommend this restaurant!!!Parking: Easy, close to building and on the highwayKid-friendliness: Open space and toys

Great place with such a friendly staff. We had breakfast and the food was so delicious, big portions and very reasonable. We were just wandering from out of state and if we ever wander back there we will definately stop again. The ice cream choices were amazing too!

So I thought I reviewed this place with 4 stars. But I had their biscuits and gravy a few weeks ago and cannot quit thinking about it. I wasn't going to judge them if it was bad because I'm southern and this isn't the south. But holy heck, yall, this is the spot. They put parsley in it, which was odd to me when I saw it but it added to the flavor in an unexpected way. I'm really glad this place is here in town.
