Pretty good fish and chips. The fish inside the store that I bought was NOT as fresh as the fish I get on the docks. I bought $20 of ling cod because the floating store was all out. it was not that fresh. I was a bit disappointed, especially after spending $20 a can on smoked tuna bellies. I should have ought another can, that smoked tuna is incredible.The actual fish and chips restaurant is good, I had clam chowder poutine which seems super unhealthy but was so damned good and warming on a cold windy PNW day. I chalked the stale fish up o the fact that tourists were massing for the king tides. I was hoping to skip the crowd but they were out in force.Good french Fries too.

Fish and chips were okay. Both the lingcod and the rockfish tasted the same which were most likely not fresh fish but frozen. The fish didn't even have much of a taste but more of the batter took over.The clam chowder was good, but most of the clam pieces were extremely gritty.Asked for water when we sat but didn't get it until after food arrived. Wasn't busy at the time.Wouldn't recommend this place.Most likely won't go back.

My fiance and I came here yesterday. We got the cod and chips with clam chowder. That clam chowder is SO bomb.. lots and lots of clams. So fricken good.The cod and chips were also amazing, 3 pieces of amazing crispy cod. We will definitely be back!

Just a quick seafood lunch.Had crab melt and clam chowder, not traditional crab melt I was expecting, but was pretty good, great helping of fries along with itChowder was excellent.Would go again 👍🏻

Second time trying Merino's. Both times the food was ok. Not great. The clam chowder was really good though. The shrimp salad was really disappointing. It came in a plastic cup with a couple inches worth of salad shrimp. Hardly worth $8. There were only two other tables in use besides the one we occupied. I'm not sure why some people were sent downstairs to collect their own food and we were not. Maybe because I tipped well when ordering at the counter. The restaurant is located up a flight of stairs so may not be accessible to everyone.

My take-out order was all in the paper bag. When I got back to my hotel, it all fell to the ground as soon as I grabbed the bag. My $120 food was wasted on dirty ground. Well...I suggest the owner use better way better than a thin layer paper bag.The clam chowder was good though.

The crab was delicious! The fried rock fish was delicious! The oyster shooter was delicious! And the fries were salty just like I love them. With lemon and vinegar this was out of this world!

Seafood doesn't get any fresher than this!There was a bit of a wait for the food when we were there, but that's because there were a lot of hungry people and very few employees working. We were given a little buzzer to let us know when food was ready.Got the lingcod fish and chips basket and the fish was the star of the show. Hot, fresh, delicious. The tartar sauce was great as well and every table had a bottle of malt vinegar. The fries were so-so, but let's be real. You don't order fish and chips for the chips.No complaints, would love to eat here again!

When in Westport be sure to stop for lunch or dinner at Merino’s. The fresh fish selection is amazing and it’s a great spot to pick up a local freshly caught fillet for dinner. The restaurant serves incredible fish n chips with Rockfish, Lingcod, Salmon, Tuna and Halibut. Crispy fries and great tarter sauce as well. Clam chowder is phenomenal! Upstairs is a tap with 4 beers from Westport’s Blackbeard Brewing.

I know I picked the best place in town. This spot not only serves fresh fish caught right there, but they help the fisherpeople with cleaning and selling their fish. I ordered the crab melt, because crab is the bomb. This sandwich was loaded with crab, say what? It's so rare these days to order a dish with crab where they actually give you a descent amout of crab. This was loaded. Yum! I liked the idea of putting the coleslaw inside the sandwich, but I wish they hadn't mixed it in. If you don't have good coleslaw, this spoils the whole thing. Since I couldn't take it out, and couldn't choke it down, I left it to the birds. It made me so sad leaving all that yummy crab! What a waste.I wanted this to be perfect, and I am sure it is in some ways. Service was great, fries great, the product is great, but maybe the recipes are not?? I am still giving it 5 stars because I know they are worth it and deserve it. I will still come again and order something else. After 40 years living on the coast in fishing towns, I know a real fish place when I see it. Don't skip over this place, you'll be sorry.

Mervin you made our day!!! Thank for being so helpful and kind. You are a true attribute to Merinos. The upstairs was spotless!!!The poutine is the best of 2 worlds. Chowder on French fries what a concept. I have had chowder everywhere we have been and this by far has been the best.Albacore Tuna fish n chips - 2 nice large pieces. For me it was a little dry. My husband who can't eat fish but can tuna...loved it!!!We would definitely return!!

I'm sure the food is alright but don't get your catch processed there. I Was missing 2 pounds off of fillets I wanted packaged. Pretty sure there isn't 2 pounds of offal from fillets.. kind of sucks. And I didn't get the cheeks back from the ling cod either.. find somewhere else.

Great place to eat or pick up things to eat on a city bench, at the beach, or to take home for later. They have a to-go food window for fish and chips..., a bar upstairs (there a bathroom down the hall behind the bar), fresh seafood market, smoked, fresh prepared foods. and canned items. The bar restaurant upstairs is nice and has indoor and outdoor seating with a nice view of the boats and bay. I love the Tillamook grilled chees it come s with a pile of fries, the husband like the fish. We get it to go and eat in our car on the beach. The husband also likes their smoked salmon. I believe the bar has beer and wine. The is no bathroom on the main floor, but, across the street is a large public parking area with nice clean public restrooms.

Had brunch today at a great spot in Westport. #MerinosSeafoodMarket Fresh local fish! Caught off the coast of Washington. I decided on the #halibut with chips. 3 lovely, big pieces in a panko breading. while I’m not usually a fan of Panko, this breading worked well. It allowed for a lite, crispy outside. The fish was juicy and flaky, the star of the show. Definitely could taste the fresh caught taste. Served with a side of #Tarter Sauce. I also had to try the #clamChowder which was raved about by most of the reviewers. The chowder was rich and creamy. Had a real depth of flavor that I appreciated. Served with Oyster Crackers. When my dinner destinations didn’t pan out today I decided to go back for another bowl of Chowder in the evening. That should tell you how much I enjoyed it. I took my brunch to go and found a nice sunny spot overlooking the floats and boats of Westport. Rain was sparse today which allowed me to hang out with the crows waiting to see if they could scavenge anything from my meal. Sorry nothing left. Will gladly return to Merino’s Seafood Market.

I really wish we had gone to this place first right when we reached Westport. I regrettably had the worst fish and chips elsewhere for lunch that day, but Merino's turned that experience around. We came in for dinner and walked upstairs to a tiny dining room area. You order at the counter and receive a pager. The wait isn't too long.I ordered half a crab with a small cup of clam chowder. My friend ordered the Fish and Chips. The crab was fantastic, I regret not ordering a whole crab considering how well it was.cooked and seasoned that I didn't need the generous side of butter. The clam chowder was fantastic! There were heaping amounts of clam in every bite and a nice size portion of potatoes. It was so flavorful that I also wished I ordered a large instead. My friend's fish and fries arrived super hot, crispy on the outside and golden brown. The batter was absolutely amazing and well seasoned. I'm very happy we came and look forward to returning tomorrow.

I can't say enough good things about this place.The people working were super friendly and helpful. Service was spot on.The food was delicious. We had been on the coast for a few days and this was the best meal out we had. The chowder was great. We had the rockfish and crab melt (on sour dough). Each prepared perfectly. Great flavor and the right amount of crunch with the breading.Also very clean!!

Best fish and chips not only in Westport but in all of Washington's!! Oyster shooters and clam chowder are terrific too. Not only is the food great but you get a lot and is reasonably priced. Make sure you go into the fish market. The people that work there are so fun to talk to and go upstairs to eat great view and the host up there make you feel like an old friend. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. So happy we found it! We also took the fish that we caught to have it vacuum packed abs they did a great job.

I am obsessed with these fish and chips. Everything is perfect in my opinion, the fries are seasoned and crispy and the fish is moist and covered with a golden brown breading that crunches beautifully.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time! Chowder was delicious too! Better than stuff I’ve had in Seattle. They also have a section where they’ll process and ice pack your catches from the day. This was the quintessential fishing port experience. I would make the drive to come here again just for lunch!

This is an amazing place for seafood. You can purchase the raw fish and shellfish as well as locally canned fish from the deli below the restaurant. The restaurant dining area is small, but they do have outside tables on the balcony as well as down below. All of the fish, shrimp and shellfish including crab are caught locally. Definitely makes a difference. I ordered the fish and chips/cod and was completely blown away by the amazing texture and flavor of the breaded fish. The fries were well seasoned and hot. The staff is easy to talk to and very helpful. They do offer a small selection of beers on tap as well as bottled. They also sell glasses of local wines. I’ve been frequenting Moe‘s seafood restaurant at a couple locations in Oregon and after coming here, I think Marinos has the best fish & chips around. Way to go guys. Thank you for an amazing and affordable dinner.

Awesome, i liked the employee Merlin. He was so helpful and kind. He had A plus customer service. The food was delicious. The only thing is i wish the batter that my halibut was fried in had more seasoning. Might want to look up a recipe to add. It was very plain but still delicious don't get me wrong.

Came here looking for great seafood and Merino's didn't disappoint. We ordered from the bar upstairs and sat for a bit to enjoy great beer and company. When the food was ready, we headed down to the pickup window and brought it back upstairs. Crab was fresh and quite large. Crab sandwich was delicious and the fish and chips cooked to perfection. Our bartender was helpful and sweet and never let the table dry out. Can't wait to come back. Definitely make sure you spend time upstairs and enjoy the view.

This place was recommended to us by a local who said it was her favorite place for dinner. It’s a proper fish market, that has a fine selection of local catches.The food service happens at a walk up window just outside the front door. We ordered a fish sandwich which was to die for, and lingcod fish and chips, which was the best I’ve had on this side of the Atlantic. They don’t try to mock up English pub fish and chips, instead going a different direction with the lighter but tastier breading. It’s a wise choice. And the fish was done to perfection. Served with a side of fabulous fries and some excellent tartar sauce, and I had a very happy belly.Couple that with a small upstairs dining room that has a balcony with a distant view of the bay, and you’ve got a great dinner spot. The service in the fishmarket and the upstairs dining area were both outstanding.And on top of everything else, it’s very reasonably priced!

Very tasty seafood joint with a market for fresh seafood and a restaurant. The fish and chips and half crab were absolutely delicious. Served up with warm butter, tarter sauce, cocktail sauce and Lemons. All the fixing with your locally caught seafood. They will be busy! But it was worth the wait.

Wait was a little/lot longer than I would have expected for a simple crab melt which did not "wow" me. I'm giving it 4 stars 🌟 as I'm sure they were short staffed. Tasted all of the cabbage in the crab 🦀 melt...but none of the crab.

We enjoyed their fish and chips, crab and oyster shooters. We liked their food so much, we went back to get more food. The lady at the bar upstairs was friendly! Also it is a dog friendly place, and we brought our dog upstairs.

The best lingcod I have ever had except for when my dad made it on the grill fresh. The service is excellent especially in the bar the lady that served me in the bar was so nice and accommodating. If you're looking to go to a really good restaurant with lots of good service I would go here.
