We have enjoyed staying at the Glenacres place. The owners are incredible and very accommodating. We have watched it transformation throughout the years, and with the addition of the places next to them look forward to seeing the changes. They have started an organic growing space that will be selling in the future organic vegetables or what ever they decide to plant. The slow expansion and their insight is the key to this place. They are well informed about what is happening locally and can guide all who come to various local restaurants. The small town has a wonderful fleet of deep sea fishing charters also. There is a supermarket next to them that is well stocked for what ever your needs may be. This has been closed for a year and now is under new management. We stayed in the cottage with our grandchildren this past week. We have come ever year and also just dropped in from time to time. They have a small snack area where coffee and tea is always available. They make this wonderful yogurt parfait when the summer season starts. I would suggest this in the mornings.

Staying at the Glenacres Inn has become a regular event for our extended family. The accommodations are affordable, comfortable, tastefully appointed and we love the Victorian character of the inn and its close proximity to the beach. Through the years we have tried the range of rooms and cottages, each with their distinct character and offerings. The development of Glenacres has been impressive to see between our visits, from landscaping to renovations in every direction and now they have new cottages, some available now, or soon to be in the mix. It's been great to support the evolution of this northwest heritage landmark.

We sought last minute reservation and we were scheduled to arrive very late. The owner was incredibly accommodating and very welcoming. the inn was impeccable and beautifully appointed. The rooms were clean and I don't mean "clean" in the hotel way either....like your grandmother was coming to visit clean. Modern and up to date restroom with great shower pressure - perfect for soar fishing muscles. peaceful and quiet - Thank you for making our first stay in Westport a memorable one.

We had a reservation from Friday through Sunday, but weren't able to make it on Friday because of traffic (there were 3 accidents blocking the road). The booking had said if you didn't give 3 days notice you would be charged full price for the room, which is completely fair. But Glenacres volunteered to take Friday off our bill anyway, we didn't even ask for it. That is above and beyond customer service. The room was very cute and clean, and in a very convenient location (15 minute walk to the beach or lighthouse). Would definitely recommend or stay there again!

Charming place. Lots of characters. Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful host. The breakfast scones are a must-have. Clean and comfortable room with wonderful surprises. We had unit 15, studio A. Explore the room. The discovery is delightful. Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Thank you, Steve, Leslie, Kino, and Celia.

Beautiful, historic, right on the main road and yet tucked away. They are famous (and rightly so) for their *-ah. mazing-* cranberry scones which are offered during the light continental breakfast, along with plentiful all day coffee and tea. Choose from cottages, rooms in the main house or -- where we stayed -- the "annex". The innkeepers run a relaxed home like atmosphere which keeps people like us coming back regularly and often. Worth every penny πŸ˜πŸ΅πŸšπŸ™πŸšπŸ‹πŸ³πŸ¦€πŸ‘

Love it here! Private feel while still being in town. The owners have done such a great job. Each time we come back there's more improvements done. Deer walking through almost daily. We love the decor in the rooms also, they feel like home.

My family and I ahve been coming out here since the new owners took over in 2007. It has been a joy to watch it transform over the years and I look forward to each and every trip! The owners are very helpful and more than accomidating. The rooms are cleaned like the Queen is coming to visit, the bathrooms are VERY SMALL but it has never once bothered me! My 6' 2" father has never had an issue either. The owners know all the best beach spots and places to eat to get a real Westport experiance. The Inn is very very old and has so much rich history that each room tells a story. Love the Cafe and the at home feeling I have whenever I visit! Book early they fill up fast now that the word is out!

Great location, adjacent to both surf shops in town and a coffee shop; easy walking distance to two microbreweries, supermarket next door; ocean beaches a short jaunt further. I go to Westport for its surfing and chill beach town atmosphere, and always stay at the Glenacres when I do. I like its upscale but relaxed style and spacious setting. A great find.

We stayed in the upper floor of the coach house. There was no place to hang clothes . The ceiling fan did not work . We made the reservation by phone. We wanted a whirlpool suite. I specifically asked if the whirlpooltub would accommodate 2 people. The person taking the reservation said "it's got a 5 foot tub in the room . I asked again if that would accommodate 2. He answered "yes". If both of us weighed under 100 pounds we would have fit in the tub together .I won't be staying here again .

I really enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in one of the top floor rooms in the main house and loved it. Especially love the Victorian feel of the house, feels like you're a character in a book but with modern amenities. I was able to meet the owners, very nice people. Would definitely recommend this inn :)

Such a a picturesque centerpiece to this historic seaport community of Westport. The heritage home is flanked by four cottages in a rolling meadow landscape overlooking the harbor. Our family just stayed in the Salt Grass Cottage that was refurbished this last year. We loved/recommend it, and every other part of Glenacres!

Traveling by the seat of our pants along the coast was incredible because of places like Glenacres Historic Inn. Not only did Steve accommodate us at the last minute, he also waited up for us to get in late! It was by far the best place we laid our heads to rest.

Westport is a small fishing harbor where we bought fresh tuna. You can charter fishing trips. Dined on fish and chips in local eaterie. Beautiful beaches with two surf shops but bring wet suits. Many hotels and camping locations. Glenacres was historical location that we picked for the cabins that had full kitchens. They provided scones, fruit, tea and coffee each morning. Many places for hiking and sightseeing including a lighthouse, cranberry museum, state parks.

Stayed at the historic grounds on May 22nd and met the owner Steve. 1898 historic house that supposedly hosted Bobby Kennedy when he went fishing in Westport. We stayed in the detached duplex. Was quaint and basic.

Authentic old world character with a great upbeat vibe and a very central setting. Values not to be beat in or around Westport. The Glenacres Inn ranks as a go-to destination not just in Westport but along that up and down the northwest coast! Dog friendly first floor rooms and cottages.

Charming, Nostalgic, romantic Inn once used by our historical Kennedy family! Aside from aesthetics, it is clean breezy restful and incudes a excellent light breakfast to send you off for your day. Charming front porch to enjoy light music or rich conversation. It's qiet and refreshing. I'll definately return for more of the same!

Cabins have the needed space if you get the right one. The owner is very nice (builds all the cabins himself). Only complaint is spiders and where the place is at (town wise). Close to beach tho

The owner was very nice, the scones and coffee were delicious! The guests next door were very loud, and the owner deducted money from our bill to compensate us without being asked.

Love staying at Glenacres. The owners are wonderful and welcoming. It is clean and feels very safe. The best part is it has dog friendly accommodations.Rooms: Cute, clean and quiet. Perfect for us and our doggy. It is our favourite place to stay.Nearby activities: The surfing is great at the near by Westhaven State Park, I think is now called Westport Light State Park.Walkability: The grocery store is only a few steps away as well as couple of restaurants and pub. Blackbeards Brewing is also a short walk away.

They overbooked rooms, so they split up our family reunion group that had been booked for a year, leaving some of our family sleeping on the floor and others staying elsewhere. They were completely incompetent in handling it. Guaranteed never to come back.

Great little location, and the owner is really accommodating. I appreciate the help when I needed it and would recommend anyone to stay here who wants a more local vibe than a commercial hotel.
