If you are looking for great craft beer and delicious pizza, look no further. This place is a gem in the small town of Westport. Loved both the IPA and cider. The pizza and garlic breadsticks were delicious. The service was excellent and staff was very nice. We’re definitely coming back again.

I have been in Westport for eight years now. In the past I would have rated this restaurant with five stars. However, it seems that the quality of food and service has diminished greatly. I am not sure if it is due to new ownership or some other reason. Last pizza I ordered was burnt top and bottom. I was given $2.00 off for the mistake!! They seem to do such a busy business now that they don’t have to care about friendly service. Needless to say, I don’t go there anymore. It used to be very friendly and now it is just a rush. They no longer have to care.

Delicious pizza, beer, cider, salads and desert options. Even when the restaurant looks packed, the service is still amazing! The atmosphere offers you plenty to see. Looking around at their decor and patio area, makes waiting for take out worth it. Helps pass the time.We had a Veggie pizza and added pepperoni, the spinach salad and a couple drinks. They have a large assortment of brews. I do miss their outdoor propane fire pits. But, they do have a large outdoor heated area.It is a casual place, which is nice after a day at the beach. No need to worry about being dressed up, if you don't want to.It is close to a few vacation rentals and motels. Definitely worth dining at.To clarify after reading some reviews:They also have a sister location at the Marina. This is the taphouse. They have different dinner options such as, tacos, burgers, burritos, appetizers and typically a dinner special. This location does close earlier and less brewery options. Very kid/family friendly. Still great food.

My wife and I ordered 1/2lb classic burgers with fries and couldn't be happier with the taste and quality of our meal. The restaurant features a small bar as well as table seating. The bar, tables, and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and we found the staff to be friendly and inviting. This visit was in the evening during the pirate festival. 5/5 stars. Exceeded all expectations.

We came in for pizza while on a trip to the ocean. We ordered takeout, but also got a pitcher of beer (for 3 adults) and some beverages for the teenagers while we waited. The courtyard outside is where its at - dog friently5 different sections, from wide open to the sky, to partially covered, to fully covered with walls. They have a varity of seating, too - tables and chairs, adarondike chairs with side tables in between, picnic style benches, and a bunch of potted plants scattered around. Very comfortable. Our pizza took a little while, but just long enough to finish our drinks. We took it back to the condo, and it was DELICIOUS. We got a 16" chicken bacon ranch, and a 16" ultimate combo (i think, it had allll the meat and veggies), 1 pitcher of beer and 3 non alcoholic beverages and the total before tip was just over $80. We ended up with 3 left over slices of pizza at the end of the night. Not bad at all.

Not impressed. . Buns were to greasy. Meat had no flavor. Wanted to try this place for awhile. Most likely will not be back. There were 4 of us and we all thought the same. You had to place your order and bus your own table . Said they did not have a milk shake machine. They did have a blender they used for something , could make shakes with that. Over all not a good experience. The price for 4 of us was $60.61.

What atmosphere?! I'm a lover of all things pirate, but this place took my breath away. Then I took a sip of their Kolsh and Mead and that took my remaining breath away. Wow! What incredible effort went into making those unique tastes... I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and brought a dozen cans home to share with loved ones. Highly recommend!Parking: park at your leisure, room for everyone.Kid-friendliness: My son's talked about the ambiance the entire trip home.

The pizza is terrific! We had the Full Tsunami with about every topping possible; also, the crust was the right crispiness. The beers were quite pleasant...all very similar IBU-wise. The porter had a nice spice to it, and the blonde was almost like a light hefeweizen. In the warmer months, the patio would be a great place to sit.

Thank God for Blackbeard’s Brewing. My husband and I were FIENDING for a drink, particularly from a craft brewery. I honestly didn’t think this tiny town would come thru, so I was stoked when it showed up on Yelp. Also, it’s basically in the middle of the residential area, so you can just walk to it if your staying near.My husband tried the Ghostship IPA (ABV. 6.5% IBU 40) and I got the holiday special, Cranberry Mead (Abv. 7.7%). I enjoyed my drink a lot, I found it floral and clean, and the cranberry wasn’t overwhelming. For food we shared Blackbeard’s Signature (red sauce, pepperoni, ham, sausage, olives, mushrooms and mozzarella, $18.00) with cauliflower crust ($1.00). HOLY YUM! We polished off the entire pie in 10 minutes without hesitation. This was some of the best cauliflower crust I’ve ever had. Everything used was very fresh and used generously. It’s no wonder why this place is so popular.I would definitely recommend you to visit if you’re ever in this cute lil coastal town!

At noon in late February we have the place to ourselves. They have sports playing on TVs and music playing. They brought us each 3 tastes of various beers so we could choose what we wanted to order. The waitress then said she drinks half ‘n half Pineapple Cider and Ghost Ship IPA, both of which I liked. She brought me a taste of that and I ordered a pint. The Ghost Ship IPA by itself has a lovely strong hop aroma with medium bitterness. The Pineaple Cider is a delicious sweet cider. We ordered a Green pizza: pesto, chicken, spinach, artichokes and substituted mushrooms for the green peppers. Fabulous pizza with a crispy crust.

i went here a week ago on a busy saturday morning, so we expected a wait time. but we didn’t think it would be about 20 minutes or so of waiting but they are a really small place and they were very busy. their food made up for this wait tho, they make their own root beer which is very good and they hand toss their pizza. we ordered a 16 inch meat lovers pizza, two root beer floats and cheese breadstick type things; all of that was so good! i really recommend this place to bring the family or your friends!

My friend and I ordered takeout from Blackbeard's for my birthday dinner and I was impressed! It was ready pretty quickly after we called, the employees were super nice and friendly (and COVID safe!), and it was cheaper than I expected! The food was great, and it's EXACTLY what you want when you're drinking beer. I have high pizza standards, and I loved the chicken bacon ranch that I got. I'd love to come back post-pandemic and sit on the (dog friendly!!) outdoor patio.I had actually been planning on ordering from a different restaurant, but I called to order multiple times and never got through, so I decided to check out this place instead. I'm glad I did!!
