This was our first trip to this bakery and won’t be our last. Even after traveling, our pastries kept their freshness. My favorite was the cream horn (cone-shaped) because the puff pastry its made of was so mouthwatering with the butter cream inside. It melted in my mouth, it was so good. The customer service was fantastic; Very approachable and professional.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s 29th birthday. I requested a beach theme. I was going to be charged $25 extra for premium decorations. I was a little disappointed in that the cake decoration was only frosting. There was no premium anything. They did decrease the price $10 but I still paid $70 for a cake I could’ve done better myself! I went to Hobby lobby and bought some crystals and edible pearls and seashells, and fixed it up best I could probably will not purchase a cake here again

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND PRICING!! REFUSED TO HOLD COOKIES IS PAY FOR AHEAD OF TIME.I called to have a dozen of their once a year holiday cookies set aside for me so I could ensure I would get them when I arrived in about 15 minutes. Only 13 left. Despite offering my credit card to purchase them, the supervisor told me "we can't hold anything for anyone because things can get lost and then people are angry with me"...seriously?! This is a bakery! This is your business and what you do! Sounds like your process management skills are so awful that you can offer this service for preordered pies for holidays, but not cookies?? What a disservice and hypocrisy. I normally prefer to support small town businesses, but you have to actually do your job!P.s. I'm stage 4 cancer, so this was my last chance to have these cookies. Shame on you.

I have been to this bakery a couple of times and always had the absolute best customer service. This morning I went in to order a cake and saw their generosity towards others. While I was paying for my cake order a homeless man came in to offer to sweep their floors so he could get a pastry. The young gal at the front asked him what he would like and then offered a hot coffee with it. He insisted on helping them but she said it was ok and proceeded to give him a chocolate chip cookie and a hot coffee on this rainy day ❤️ The kind of love and care in that young gal was so special and it melts my heart to see that in a small business. So many times homeless people get shooed away from businesses but with this business they didn’t even think that way and wanted to give this gentleman something to eat and a warm drink.I will definitely be coming back to this bakery and recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful! Had a specially requested Scream cake made for my girlfriend's birthday and I couldn't be happier! Wonderful service and great taste. Picked up some marble rye as well. Soooo good. Highly recommend this bakery!

This bakery is usually very good, but my recent experience has me changing bakeries. I requested 3 dozen cookies for a dinner at our home for business colleagues. I was informed the only fresh cookies were M&M and chocolate chip. I originally wanted a variety, but was told the other cookies were 3 days old, therefore would not be fresh. My husband arrived home with the cookie order and I was shocked. There were random old cookies placed in the box, along with sugar cookies that looked like they were a poor attempt for a child's party; unicorns, rainbows and rainbow hearts. (I wish I could post a picture.) I felt undervalued as a customer, because it was clear that they emptied all of the old cookies out of the cases, gave them to me, along with only a few of the fresh cookies that I wanted. When contacting the bakery, they acted surprised that I wasn't pleased and requested I bring them back in for a refund. We live outside Waitsburg and did not have the time to drive back in AGAIN after we had already went to Albertsons and bought more cookies. Something to note...they do not bake on Sundays and Mondays, therefore everything you get is old and not fresh. This is not the bakery that it used to be.

We went on an outing with our Assisted Living group. The employees were so patient and kind to everyone and it made for a great outing. We all made our choices and they had a seating area where we all sat and enjoyed our Bakery items.

Came in to get some GOOD Wheat Sourdough, left with quite a few extra things including some amazing walnut bread thanks to a suggestion from the owner. Nice guy. I keep all my bread from here in the fridge to keep mold away since this isn't like the mass produced bread at the store and will mold within days under the right conditions.The scones that we get for our coffee shop are absolutely delicious as well. Awesome bakery.

I have used this bakery time and time again, at the last minute, with planning, and as a drop by, the owners and helpers have always been kind and accommodating. Their cakes are the best and my family always requests them. The chocolate shavings and whipped frosting makes you go back over and over again. Thank you for your consistently excellent service!

Oh yeah John's Wheatland bakery.The best bakery in town even Clickers country store orders there pies from there. Strawberry rhubarb so good and don't even get me started on the cookies kind courteous staff and clean. Wonderful experience

I mean it's kind of a guessing game to know what you'll owe once you checkout.I feel like in this as a consumer I am vulnerable to sudden price changes that once I'm at the register I'm kinda just held hostage to pay.” -Another customer’s review that I agree with 100%I absolutely LOVE the scones but I have not been there for a while did not realize they no longer had a good deal for a dozen scones just paid $33 for a 12. Was asked to next time call ahead of time because they only made 8 of the chocolate scones and I was taking 6 (I had just decided as I drove by to stop and treat my co workers). She was nice about it but definitely made me feel guilty, then one of the bakers came out and suggested I take other flavors (after she suggested he make more of the chocolate) and I said sure why not. So I made a switch in my order. Then I go to check out and wasn’t expecting the price change if I wasn’t in a hurry I would have asked them to give me the chocolate ones back. I took what they gave me and walked away very disappointed.Baked goods 5 stars no doubt but experience and unexpected prices I had to take a few stars off. I will definitely think twice next time.

Staff was very friendly and fun. Only complaint is I do wish they had more prices on the bags. I understand that’s a lot of work but it does make it kind of awkward having to ask what everything is priced. But 5 Stars Great Place

Just had a horrible experience with the owner. I got home with my usually delicious scones, when I noticed that they had drastically changed from containing delightful strands of lemon zest to bitter pieces of artificial flavored lemon gummy candy. When I called and asked the owner (who was the one to answer the phone) about it, he barked that he couldn't talk and that I was tying up his phone line for a credit card transaction. Good grief, last time I checked this was the 21st century! There's too many good bakeries in Walla Walla (with updated POS systems) to put up with rudeness. After 14 years, I'm done with John's bakery.

Great selection and very friendly staff / owner. We not only had breakfast with coffee, we also got free fill-ups of thermos, and 4 more pastries for lunch, with recommendations about where to eat on our next stop. Highly recommend.

I mean it's kind of a guessing game to know what you'll owe once you checkout.I feel like in this as a consumer I am vulnerable to sudden price changes that once I'm at the register I'm kinda just held hostage to pay.Also please clearly mark what's "old" if it's not placed on the discount rack but on that center table.Dates of when something was made should also be added to the price sticker as that's important information for a customer to have access to.If you don't want to do that maybe make a "fresh baked today" display rack or something because finding mold growing on the rolls I bought the day before tells me they had been setting there on that table for quite some time.I'm not trying to be mean or overly critical just giving an honest opinion on the things that really make me shopping here again less likely.

This bakery has the best cakes in town. Any time I stop by I feel welcome and leave with a smile. My usual order is a hot chocolate and an almond windmill. This bakery is a must visit for anybody in town.

Great local bakery with possibly the best almond croissants known to man. The challah bread is out of this world, too! John is a great personality and always has some interesting conversation. He can add $ in his head like nobody's business too!!
