There's not many family owned businesses anymore these days, but L&G is one of the very few hardware stores that still has the small town feel. Friendly staff that go out of their way to get to know you by a first name basis, and if they don't have an item that you're looking for, they'll purchase it and start stocking said item. Can't beat that!

One of the few places around that still have that small town local business customer service. You can't walk too far in there without multiple employees checking up on you to make sure you're finding what you need, and they will go out of their way to help you. I'm sure I speak for many in walla walla when I say their amazing customer service has earned a lifetime customer. They are my first stop if I need something, and they almost always have what I need. Thank you L&G, never stop being great!!

Wonderful hometown hardware store! They have stuff I can't find other places in town, items of better quality then most, items I didn't know existed to fix my problems and they also have products that I have no idea what they are for (so if your looking for something needs fixing, especially around the house or farm, you might find it here.) The staff is really helpful and friendly.

It still has the small town feel even after the remodel. Cashiers are super friendly and the guys are pretty good too. (Just one grouch, but that's part of the charm, I guess).Lots of pet stuff, nut, bolts, all watering equipment: almost everything hardware that Ace would have, large Country Western section and Bar-B-Q stuff. Also, all kinds of picks, shovels, axes and various other implements of destruction.Dog friendly but they have a cat that lives there and thinks it owns the place and hides in and on the shelves.Biscuits for good doggies of several sizes in bulk.Always an enjoyable experience unless you get the grouch. LOL

This is a great place. They have knowledgeable people who actually care about you and your problem. They know how to fix it. You do not have to go all over the store searching for someone to help you like the Big Box store. And they carry just about anything.

Every time I'm here, at least one of the employees goes out of their way to ask if I need assistance instead of having to seek it myself; even when they're VERY busy. Their on-hand fastener/hardware selection is both cheap & impressive and puts both Home Depot & Fastenal to shame. Loads of Hillman hardware. Prices are fair, especially for supporting a local business over corporate greed.
