OVERPRICED yet worth a browse. Simply to visit Washington’s oldest record store, and be flabbergasted by the prices. To a point where it’s actually funny. And that name… I just love to hate it! What an oddity. This pricing is really hard to comprehended. Everything.. from mass produced thrift store commons, to current pressings available thru Amazon / Target.. 3x more expensive here. Nothing special, not limited edition, imported, ect. anything whatsoever. What’s the justification? You have a monopoly as the only record store south of Tri-Cities, so gouge the prices? Out of touch, ignoring Internet and market value? The economy really that bad?The signed and personalized memorabilia on display is cool. Convenient walking distance downtown location. The folks are really nice, but I literally can’t afford to support their business. I went twice in a 3 month span - most records and CDs I picked out were in the same spot, untouched. Some highly desirable modern music that would normally sell no problem. Who’s shopping here, only people buying guitars in the back? I was, however, able to purchase Hot Poop magnets & stickers with local art, because, shockingly..! they were less than five dollars.Sometimes I like a cluttered record store, it adds to the thrill of the hunt. But not when hunting for a “deal” in fool’s gold.

I love local businesses and will support them as much as I can. This place however will be a one and done for me unfortunately. I wanted to like this place, I really did. Inventory is amazing. Music/Movies/Custom Guitars. This place has amazing stuff! 2 stars for that. Unfortunately, their prices are shockingly high.If this were just a record store it would be a 1 star review. They don't have a 'used' section. It's called 'vintage' and is no cheaper than the new records which are also over-priced. For example, I found a used Eagles album for $45 that I paid $5 for in Portland (and it works perfectly). I guess when you are the only show in town, you can charge whatever you want. Unfortunately, I left empty handed as I couldn't justify the prices.I'm really glad they are well liked though and I hope they continue to stay in business.

When you come, stroll the streets of Wallwalla, take a sip at one of the many wine shops, stop into a boutiques, but above all, don't forget to browse the best music store in the PNW -Hot Poop. If they don't have it or can't get it, no one can. The people there are a delight.

Great old fashioned music store with EVERYTHING. Posters, shirts, vinyl new and used, guitars new and used, ukes, drums, turntables, stereo gear new and used, even some classic MacIntosh tube gear, speakers, headphones, you name it.

What a great store. Vinyl, CD's, cassettes, even 8 tracks. And more guitars then normally seen in one place. I love this store, and could easily spend hours everytime I go. Lots of hidden treasures. Rare finds, box sets. They have it all.

This place is such a great experience. Staff was incredible, welcoming. Helpful. They must have every record there, and guitars, amps, drums. Being a musician, I could’ve stayed there all day. A definite stop next time I’m in Walla Walla.

It’s a rare record store that has such unique and rare records for sale mixed with releases available everywhere both of which are offered at prices that are downright laughable. Go to browse and that’s all (unless you care less about getting ripped off). The prices are double the that of what their compatible value is. They have a great selection of RSD albums but are marked up from what they allowed to sell them at. Again, browse here but do not buy here.

One of the most unique music stores I've ever seen. I've seen better music stores(instruments and or CDs/vinyl, but the combo here is pretty insane for a small city. There in house guitars are amazing, wonder if they do custom orders? Mainly Ibanez guitars, can't go wrong. Definitely worth the visit if your a music person

Amazing selection of music here. New and used records. The owners love music and help you find your individual loves. Nice guitar selection if that's what your looking for as well. I didn't even make it up stairs on this trip. Be sure to have a a few extra minutes to look around at all 5his place has to offer.

It's not so much of a trip to a record store as it is a journey to the Shangri La of music. You can find any record you are looking for. At the very least, you just know there is a hidden gem somewhere in the place, waiting to be found.

The best. A MUST VISIT place if you are new to Walla Walla, and if you're from here, you already know what a treasure this place is.

Do you want it? They have it. Record, CD, Cassette, 8Track, probably some reel to reel if you ask. Enough curiosities to make it worth a stop as a musem.Oh and don't forget the musical instruments.

Masses 'o vinyl, cd's,,.cassettes, guitars (Walla Walla Guitar Co dealer) plus a boatload of Ibanez, plus strings and accessories.Don't even talk about the incredible jumbleof vintage audio gear upstairs (I got the tour) Everything from lonely cd players to highly-prized (and insanely priced) vintage McIntosh preamps and amps. I asked "got a 240 up here?" and, yup, they did! with a 275 coming. I could have spent the rest of the day there.

Nostalgia galore. The store definitely brings back memories of days long past. While I didn't purchase anything, the flashbacks were fantastic.

Classic record shop at the end of Main Street in Walla Walla. Great and organized music collections, older posters, music equipment qnd funky shirts. Anyone that loves vinyl and the classic collector must definitely check this place out, especially when you want to take a break from the wine tasting.

Large selection, plenty to keep you occupied. Some things were a little expensive for my taste and left a bit to be desired in vintage Jazz vinyl artist selection. That being said, there's a little for everyone there and it's a nice stop to make while in Walla Walla!

My family has been shopping here for decades. Some of my best memories with my dad larry hoy were spent in this store him teaching me about music. Now as i have teens adult kids and grandkids i was happy to go in again with them to find some of the jazz. And other styles on record for my teens my dad loved that they now love..this store reminds me of a piece of home..its that great of a store.

This seems to be the only store with used vinyl in Walla Walla, and they know it. I've never seen such high prices for used records ($100 for Led Zeppelin I and for Journey Evolution). The selection is slim. The new vinyl and the new and used CDs were also expensive. They have a smattering of truly collectible vinyl (very expensive), and various memorabilia. There were quite a few boxes of records that had not yet been processed for sale.

Ridiculously high prices. I support brick and mortar business needed to charge extra, but Hot Poop was charging about 10x the price of vinyl records and refused to reduce the price even a penny. Great selection, and a novelty shop I'd recommend stopping in... but beware the price gouging!

Love the place!!! If they don't have what you want, they'll get it for you. Been a customer for over 30 years and will continue to shop here. Just picked up a couple of albums today and ordered another. Keep up the good work Jim and staff.

Oh wow. Walking in this store is an actual trip. Their are thousands of records, CDs, etc and while their are sections that are sorted by alphabet and genre, there are STACKS of records! I asked for a specific album, and the owner knew where it was located. There are also a bunch of Ukulele and guitars in the store, among a plethora of other random items. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a neat shop to purchase your records or other music related items from.

Well they had the name right at least. I am an avid collector, i like to stop in and check out record stores everywhere i go. I wont be coming back to this one.Let me say that i do come from a town where there are lots of record stores so they have to price pretty competitively. But i am pretty sure this guy thought he was selling hot gold. Which i guess you can do if you are the only show in town. The prices throughout the whole store were astronomically high!! I walked in and was completely ignored (no big deal, i like a find your own treasure record store) but after 15 minutes of looking i didnt see 1 single record that was less then twice the price that i would get it for at a better store.I mean used vinyl, decent condition on some was 4x the price i would normally get them for. Neat to walk through, certainly catches your eye, but in the end it was just a steamy pile
