The best place to go. Extremely friendly staff and clean facility and well cared for animals. They made my adoption process extremely easy. If your looking for a dog they have an excellent selection of dogs that go through the WSP training. I couldn’t be happier with my adoption. 5 stars and I will recommend ☺️

About 3 years ago, I adopted one of the dogs here named Journey. When we first saw her picture, we fell in love with her instantly. We took a trip to meet her and she was extremely friendly. You could tell she was definitely a street dog in the past but she was super kind-hearted. They let us take her home for a test run to see if she was suitable for our house and she was more than perfect. She now goes by the name Boba and shes happier than ever. She stays home with her best friend / our other dog Riceball and they run around and play outside all day. When we get home, they get spoiled with steak and bones and many treats. She loves dressing up and brushing her hair and especially her teeth. We are so grateful to have her.

Very poorly run society. No communication.They don't know what is on their website.Website says that if you are coming from out of town you can put a deposit down, but on the phone they claim they don't hold dogs. When I showed this to one of the staff, she claims they have no control over website. I showed this to her after I arrived from out of town. The dog I want was in the process of being adopted. The fact that I had appointment didn't matter.So driving 3 hours with blowing snow the last hour doesn't matter to them.They want the dogs gone ASAP.They don't do what is best for the dog.Take the dog home and if doesn't work return. Like buying a car. The person adopting the dog had a cat so they wanted to try it.So if you are coming from out of town take this Society off your list. They don't care.

I volunteered here pretty regularly last year and found the staff to be pretty amazing. The facility is very clean and well maintained.

Love love love the blue mountain humane society we go here all the time just to see the animals. We have adopted two cats from here and the process was fast and easy. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about each and every animal and keep very well documented everything about them. The cages are always clean and it seems that the animals enjoy their time at the blue Mountain humane Society.

I saw Ella she is very sweet was shy but with the right family giving her love she will come out the shyness.A few weeks ago I adopted Sadie. She is a great little dog.

Amazing shelter great staff, friendly, helpful and great place to visit or adopt a furry friend!! We adopted a 3 month old cat Blue from them in August and the process was great! Very easy and fast. We love our new family member (Blue) now White Shadow that was at Petco. Pictures below of our new family member! He plays with the kids, kneads your neck at night when he's tired, he watches out the window as you leave, tries to figure out where the monster is in the drain of the bathtub when it gurgles while your in it, he's fell in a few times.. and loves his dog and cat sister's. He's goofy, lovable, clumsy, funny, loving, playful, good hunter and the baby of the family. We're so glad he's apart of our family. He's brought us so much happiness. I highly recommend them to adopt your fur-ever friend!!

Adoption prices are affordable. The place is clean and people nice. I do not know their polices about how long they hold or if no kill so can't speak to that.

We found a kitten, which we were not opposed to keeping. We stopped by to get some advice, and staff was very willing to guide us, like going on line to be sure no one was looking for their baby. Letting know what immunizations we would need if we kept, after doing due diligence on finding it's person/s. And of course discussion on neutering. We did end up adopting said beast, & continue to follow up with her needs with BMHS. As a side note do have friends that have adopted through this service, and all went smoothly, no complaints there either.

Never even called me back ( there was a post on FB about a older dog named Sally who's owner had passed and how upset she understandably was looking for her owner wondering what she'd done wrong... I live 3 hours away from Walla Walla I offered to donate money towards her care ( they couldn't be bothered to return my call ) hoping and praying she was adopted shame on you ""BMHS""

Everyone at the BMHS was so friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and our adoption process was done so smoothly. We adopted Bambino and Bear. Their names have changed and they are the best of friends.

My wife came in to look at cats with our daughter but her experience was awful. They had pet and looked at several cats when a younger employee came in. She was quite abrasive and rude when my wife asked questions. Later my wife heard the employee swear several times, and be overall rude to a coworker. My daughter is only 7 and I don’t know what is wrong with this new generation that they can’t keep their cursing outside of work. Ash has made it so we won’t come back to this shelter.

Blue Mountain is by far the nicest and cleanest shelter I’ve been to. I adopted my cat (Callie was her original name) here and I could tell the workers treated not only her, but all the other pets here with love. When she came home with me the first time, she had no problems adjusting and got along with our dog right away. They are now best friends. We absolutely adore her and knowing she came from a great shelter to care for her brings us joy. Highly recommend this place!!

Very kind and professional staff.Animals are treated with great care and respect.The dogs are walked and socialized three times a day.All animal cages are cleaned daily.Society is very community involved with spay/neuter and feral cats programs.These people are the best!

My partner has volunteered at the shelter for 10+ hours and will not walk in the building again after the way they treated us. We got a kitten, he stayed with us a while, and we found out he doesn't get along with our other cat. They said they can't take him back even though we got him there. They told us in 17 days they will call and let us know if a spots open 🤨. Sometimes cats need help the same day or they will die and Blue Mountain doesn't care about that. They don't want to save cats, they want to sell them.

My cat got impounded I was worried u wouldn't have enuf money to adopt him back out I did was a very humble low cost process I loved every minute of it my cat got a flea bath all shots microchipped and a voucher for medical services for a very low price cause of the sale that day this I not an advertisement just a very sincere thank you u guys r awesome 😎👍

The front desk workers were absolutely amazing! I interacted with a Scully and Jordyn. I just came in to drop off some dog food and it felt like I changed the whole world! It’s nice to see how nice people are this time of year when others are so mean.

I recently adopted a puppy through them. I had been checking out their website for months until I found the perfect match. My puppy had been already vaccinated, neutered and checked by a veterinarian by the time of the adoption. They followed up with me days after to check how my puppy was doing. The staff was friendly and very helpful to me throughout the whole process. The Humane Society has been a place which I have admired for over two years now. Their work and impact in he community is great.

They do NOT care about animals here. I took my cat in to get fixed, and you might think that for $110 she might be alright in the hands of folks who love animals. The sedative shot they gave her made her act feral and crazy.The "cone" was a thin paper/cloth shroud. I am terrified that she may pop her stitches. Please do not take your pets here to receive medical services. My cat is super high and freaking out. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Worst service possible.

Here is Eastwood a 8 year old mixed breed during his service work at the rehabilitation center with volunteer Paige. The visit the Seniors at the rehabilitation center. He is so well behaved! A complete gentleman of a dog. Up for adoption! He deserves the best! Paige is pretty great too! Both selflessly volunteering to bring joy to our local seniors.

I called them several times about doing a wellness check on an abused and emaciated dog in Touchet. I was given the run around by both Hannah and Wendy and never received a call back after a month of leaving messages just simply asking for an update on the poor dog.

This place is awesome! The staff are friendly and the place is huge. The dog kennels are big and I like how they seperate the dogs from big to small. You can play with the dogs in an area outside. If the dogs are 6 months or older, then you can play with them at the next door park. The cats are was great. You can socialize with the cats and they are all friendly. The little animals area was awesome. I think this is one of the best shelters I've been.
