Crews are kind and nice, fruits and vegetables are very fresh. But breads and Gatorades are expensive than Winco even I used a coupon or membership card but they have a coupon exclusion for some items.

So the first day of the sale and no asparagus to be had, you can't tell me you have a sale on the first day and you already run out of asparagus. This store has really poor management to let that happen. What a waste of time money and gas.

Sale items are scammy! Not worth your time. Whenever I go into this store to get sale items they’re always out or they’ll have one or two rotten ones left on the shelf. I prefer to not shop here cause they make it very clear that the sale items aren’t actually available. They just want to rip you off by getting you to buy items that are double the price of most other stores. If you have complaints like me, please report them on the Safeway website along with here. Apparently the only way changes get made is by complaining in a way that alerts the regional manager.

Fresh produce, quality meats, the deli is a great dinner or lunch choice. This Safeway has it's own petro service station as well as a Starbucks located inside. The desserts in the back of store are always tempting. Always friendly and helpful staff to check you out, or self check your self if convenient. Today I got lucky because it was taste test barbecue rib for all that approach. The station set up with Safeway's #3 rank top bbq master, and with meat this good it's just a matter of time. All in all great trip to the neighborhood Safeway. Almost forgot the chow mein with 2 entrees and a side of pot stickers for a decent price, and the 8 piece of dark chicken for only $6.99. Happy Memorial day and fill those grills.

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT. They do not care about you as a customer. Honestly the most frustrating shopping experience ever. I realize manual adjustments suck and that I should have been prepared in my app but it signed me out and needed additional verification I couldn’t get to load in the store. I was told they could suspend my transaction so I could leave and come back after signing on for the deals???? In this economy, you want me to go find service elsewhere and come back and shop again?! Excuse me, but if it is advertised, you HAVE TO have a mobile device even as a long time member? No thank you. Just went to Winco and spent a fraction of the cost (and bought more!). You do not need an app or to scan every single deal! You advertised the price in the paper in store and on the signs in store, I should not be penalized for the app signing me out when I wasn’t asking for a special deal they couldn’t have easily honored. Do not shop here.

This Safeway does not care to help their customers, they are on break. But leave the water running. Been waiting like I am invisible and was told they will help me when they get back from break. Worthless customer service.

Now I get the atm isn’t a “Safeway atm”, however after trying to put in my money so I can have a roof over my head, it spit out a perfectly fine $100 bill. Okay no problem however the machine pulled back as soon as I pulled on the bill resulting in it being ripped in half. So I told the lady working nearest the counter Wednesday about 5:30, “ hey this atm ripped my bill in half” and her immidiately response was to start laughing, then gave me the biggest grin and said “not my problem sorry. I don’t work for on point” then walked away. Okay, it’s not your problem that a machine your company allows/permits to have in its location is ruining your customers way of living? Or you’re not reliable for the products your company represents? Or your just a scum excuse for a human? Either way, this company is a joke to laugh at its customers for a simple question regarding an issue caused by Safeway allowing an atm in its premises. Definitely should be your problem. Also future reference, the on point will also do nothing but say “sorry that sucks our atm ripped up your money. It actually happens a lot” than basically say that they do nothing about it but leave it to continue happening.

Starbucks in this Safeway has failed again…Everytime I order my drink it’s wrong. EVERY TIME.It is not a hard order. Double tall, hazelnut, mocha breve. We have lived here for over 10 years. They have yet to get it right.Todays coffee; No hazelnut, light chocolate, bitter coffee.I will not order Starbucks again. No matter what area I am in.

The food in the deli gave me and my girlfriend the sheets. It was the fried chicken , the JoJo's , or the coleslaw. I won't be going back there ever again. Eat at your own risks. You've been warned.

I am not one particularly for Reviews, but such a view requires me so. It is so rare now a days to find Good Mannered People with a Shining Attitude especially with all the predicaments in the World.Today I came in to order a few orders of Chicken for my family. A lovely lady "Cheron" was her name asissted me very well. She was very welcoming and kind. She spoke to me about our days and it was a very pleasant experience.Never in my life do I meet and experience lovely customer Service. This store now has my Loyalty and I will visit Cheron often.

Quick and convenient. They had what I went in for. When the self checkout asked for my club card, I asked the employee if I could get a club card. She told me, "It doesn't work like that! You gotta get your own card and bring that in!"I had assumed one would get a club card at the stores it is honored in. Apparently, "It doesn't work like that!"

If you're thinking of shopping here, don't bother. I'd say shop at the Safeways either on 112th and Burton, or the one on 164th and Fourth Plain. This store has a bad reputation and history on how they treated their employees. And had never disciplined the previous store manager, for her toxic attitude towards them. Along with her prejudice views as well.

Was a little disappointed when I found bugs in my lettuce. When I asked the produce guy about it, he said he was also finding bugs in the lettuce and it happens 😕

Store lay out is hard to follow. Also cashier made 2 mistakes on ring up product. I caught one in the check out and then one after checking my receipt. I did go back in and they correct it. Mistake was relate where mark down sticker was placed on items.

First, I never make it a point to bother reviewing places on Google unless it's something that has outright earned my attention (bad or good). Today's Jason Momoa Vodka signing at this Safeway location was an example of how NOT to treat people that come in with a positive, unobtrusive and polite attitude simply to connect with Jason's people as a media person who works for a multi-million company who manufactures Jason Momoa licensed collectibles. The lower level staff at this location were friendly, willing to assist and amazing! However, management in the middle of the chain here were not only rude, but condescending, and made it a point to pass the buck with my requests to simply to connect with a rep of Jason's or the Vodka brand. Busy or not, it wasn't until I met the Store Director of this location that I received any kind of attention or respect. As a Desert Storm 0331 Marine with a purple heart, which I don't mention at the point of contact, you would think that kindness would translate well in your own country, but it seems employees back here in the States work for companies with the mantra of customer service yet don't actually apply this theory to it's friendlier and respectful core customers. I was even a 3 year PIC employee of Safeway around the pandemic, mentioned that, and was still given a "lack of interest" attitude by several managers at this location. Brian (outside line control) and Tony (self-check) were but a few of the engaging experiences here and not until I finally dealt with Store Directors from other locations did I get any type of courtesy. I will also mention that many of the reps for this Vodka brand-itself had a Hollywood better-than-you attitude. I was even an actor after the Marine corps in Hollywood and didn't witness this kind of behavior. Overall, it was Safeway's middle management and mid-level brand reps that made this experience a complete waste of a Monday afternoon. It became less about connecting with Jason Momoa to deliver preview copies of his new line of collectibles (even know I am aware the Actors strike posed an issue) and more about simply leaving the event because of the way I saw people being talked to and treated by staff who weren't even remotely acting out of line. In the end, because of Jason's right hand man and a random store director, I was able to get in seconds what 90 minutes of finger pointing and bad attitudes could not. Overall, not a good experience and I am glad to give any other Safeway location my business as a customer in the future.

I live down the street and have shopped almost exclusively here for the past 12 years. It is convenient, the employees are friendly, and something is always on sale.I think tonight was the last time I shopped here in the evening. I was sad to see when they brought in self-check stands a few years ago, but was happy to see that at least one check stand always had a cashier at it.Tonight I was stunned to see that the only check stand open was the self-service one. Had I known ahead of time that I was the cashier, I wouldn't have shopped here. I already had my cashier job in the early 90s. If I wanted to be a cashier, I would apply to be one.It makes sense to me to always have at least 1 register manned so customers have the option to wait in line or use the self-service registers. Tonight I wasn't allowed to choose, I was forced to check myself out. I was injured in a car accident and have a difficult time standing in one position for extended periods of time. I had a full cart and had to stoop down to get items from the bottom of the cart, and then had to scan them and then load them back into my cart. I am in a great deal of pain right now and my weekend will most likely be spent using a heating pad.The person overseeing the registers asked me how my evening was. I told her that I wasn't prepared to check myself out. Yes, that wasn't very positive of me to say, but it was the truth. She walked past me and ignored me the remainder of the time I was there. Both before and after I checked myself out, there were 2 employees standing between the service desk and the self-check out chatting away and were laughing. I had never seen these two employees before, and I probably won't again since I don't plan on shopping at Safeway in the future.I was really disappointed in the level of customer service that was displayed tonight. I started shopping at around 9pm, and to be honest, I didn't recognize anyone that was working tonight. As I mentioned, I've shopped at this store 12+ years. Safeway used to be the one setting the example for the other grocers throughout the NW and further. I guess this kind of service is what is to be expected when large companies swallow smaller companies and then chip off the good parts when it comes to restructuring.I read recently that Kroger is consuming Albertsons and Safeway and another company. That makes sense. Fred Meyer went to pot when Kroger took over and it has been nothing but downhill ever since. That is when and why I quit working at Fred Meyer. At least when I shop at WinCo in the future I know before going in that I will be bagging my own groceries, and I don't mind. I also don't have to worry about WinCo getting bought out by some bigger company in the mid-west.

I needed to go to the bank and the Safeway is near there. Grocery list in hand I stopped in. This store has been upgraded because of the new senior housing across the street, and they've added a self-checkout for small purchases. Much improved!

Nice clean store. Got Chinese food out of the Deli. They were a little irritated we asked how old the food was and waited for new. We also got a package of their corn on the cob. It didn't smell right when I went to cook it and definitely when I took a bite!! And ended up with slight food poisoning the next day. 🤢

Normally my favorite grocer in the area but every time I have gone in the last 2 months something that is supposed to be on sale is charged at full price. Sometimes it's the checker missing a clearance tag, sometimes it's an outdated tag on the shelf, sometimes its their loyalty rewards system saying there is a discount through the app but not applying even with your loyalty ID entered. If you go here, be sure to double check your receipt after.

Absolute disgusting display of fruit. Everything is moldy. Not a little moldy. A lot of mold. Bags of soupy oranges... rotten strawberries. Gross. Would not recommend this store. Won't be coming back here. Management should be fired. Immediately.

I Worked in Meat dept at several locations but this one was the most disgusting seafood dept. I have ever seen look at photos. Will post photos later on.Then I lost my Father in Different Country and couldn’t Fly home. Having said that the District Manager John Stoffel.Called me into his office and started Screaming at me like a spoiled BRAT.Sent me home fired me. Then my Wife came to See this power tripping manager if you can call him Managment.End result John Stoffel got transferred and Demoted from his kicking and screaming brat attitude. The Seafood Manager didn’t do anything to clean EVER.!Store Manager. Also got called into office with wife and myself completely honest Safeways Managers always hit their goals for their bonuses because they take hours away From employees. And the Useless union say no more.

I came in today Monday to pick up a few Items as well as get some Coffee for my Wife. I went into the Starbucks and 'Liz' took my Order. I asked for the Bathroom code and they groaned with attitude which was distasteful but I let it go. She made my drink at some point later and was texting on her phone and giggling with people around her never did she say have a great day or anything so I left a comment before leaving if she actually heard it. I find it ridiculous people now use their phone at work instead of focus on the people who bring it money

Exceptional employees! This is a testimonial to people helping people not a direct Safeway review but in many ways it is. It was their employee and their brand, mission, philosophy, etc as a company, I believe, that made this happen.I was counting change to buy some food. The cashier, without saying a word, paid for my food. After I said thank you, she was very gracious in saying, "You're welcome, we all go through it dear, just pay it forward."I teared up a bit for a few reasons. First, I hide my tough times the best that I can and I felt embarrassed. Secondly and most importantly, because I felt overwhelmed with appreciation and humbleness. You see, I saw myself only one way, the helpful person not the one needing help. I've done what she did dozens of times throughout my life and I just then, in that moment, realized, it was being paid forward to me.I was in a rut, feeling very broken and not knowing what to do next to earn income. This 3 minute engagement was exactly what I needed in that moment, I realized that no matter how bad I felt or embarrassed as a man, I was, to take it in, and accept my fait. It changed my perspective on so many things, but mostly about myself. It's okay to ask for help. It's okay to fail. The important thing is to keep going, keep trying, and always look out for others, especially in your own communityThank you,With a lot of love and karma heading your way,Heath

Deli food is not fresh, deli workers are unclean (wearing food prep gloves and using their phones) cashiers (aside from a few senior employees) are slow, and I do NOT appreciate the comments on what I'm buying! Many packaged items are not rotated and are expired, especially in the deli. I shouldn't have to check the dates on every item to make sure they're fresh. There have been a few times I have grabbed meat and it has literal mold on it.The bathrooms are insanely bad. The smell is awful, it is rarely cleaned or stocked. Surprised they don't have blue lights in there yet.Need anything done at the pharmacy? Good luck. I scheduled just regular vaccines there and they say they can't do them because they don't have their vaccine person or they're out. Most of the time you have to deal with homeless people, strung out people, and beggars outside. This place is an absolute joke.

If your not in a hurry...well even then this store is a horrible experience.I feel bad for the customers, managers, staff , and purveyors. 130 customers to 6 or 8 staff ratio. Ouch. This store is a shining example of the inevitable coming collapse of our economic system. Profits over people until there isn't anything left but debt and misery. We might not make it through folks .Hold onto to your hats 👒!!Nobody's fault but our own.

(Updating my review)* While the pharmacy speed could still be improved, the pharmacists and techs are very friendly and efficient. This Safeway is probably my favorite in the Vancouver area. Its set up makes sense and things are easy to find. Most all of the cashier's are awesome. Special shout-out to cashier Jenna, who helped us today, she was great!!Pharmacy. Slow. They only have one pickup line and it is extremely slow.

Picked up everything that I needed.including some really great deals that were digital coupons. My best score was a whole ribeye roast during the last holiday season. The roast weighed about 20 lbs and cost $347. With the digital coupon it was $118, final price! Amazing! Love those digital coupons.
