I honestly hate leaving such a bad review.. but my dog came home after 5 hours with a terrible haircut.We provided the groomer with a previous post-groom photo that we really liked. She asked me to pick from 3 stock photos Petco uses for a length we liked, and there was another similar breed being groomed at the time of our drop off that we pointed out was too short for our liking. She’s been groomed elsewhere (the previous place is too far from home) and she’s always gotten a really good report card, so I thought everything would be alright. The woman even told me that she was exceptionally behaved for an 8-month old puppy.We dropped her off at 10:55am and she wasn’t ready until 4:00pm (normally her grooms are 1.5-2 hours). Her haircut is extremely short, as short as it can possibly be and it’s very uneven. She has chunks of longer hair on her back and it’s really choppy and uneven on her belly. Absolutely not what we asked for.I will state that they called and reported that she had a mat on her front leg that was worse than they had originally assessed, and they might need to cut it shorter. I responded with yes, that’s fine, whatever you need to do to make her healthy and happy.She called back to tell us she was ready for pick up, and that she was able to get the mats out without cutting too short. So we were extremely shocked when picking her up.We’re easy owners so this is fine, it’s just hair and it’ll grow back. But I can’t let someone else go here without knowing the consequences. I don’t have a photo of her groom today, it was honestly so shocking for us, but I’ll update the post with before, what we wanted, and what we got photos.I’ve been a customer for 10+ years for toys, food, treat, but we will absolutely not be returning for grooming services, nor recommending anyone here. I also won’t be looking into any veterinary services if grooming is so bad.

Nice store parking can be a little hard with so many people coming in and out. What's inside the store it's a bit of a smaller footprint than I'm used to in other petco's. This area is super busy and more dogs inside than people. I mean way more than you ever see in one store typically. The staff seems friendly and the line seems to move relatively fast. So a good addition for this area.

we were happy to have this location open up by our home. i got a puppy end of last year and took him in recently to have his nails done. i believe kylie ? took care of that and did a great job! she was very quick and good with my puppy : ) then more recently he came in for a full bath by devynn who did an amazing job. even though my dog is a bit wiggly and hyper she seemed to handle him well and was able to get him done quickly. i could tell he was happy and not bothered at all after the visit. afterwards we mentioned looking for good food and she showed us a few options and educated us using her nutrition background. thank you devynn we'll definitely be bringing puppy ash and his new sister back : )as for the rest of the store its always nicely stocked, clean and friendly staff, it's a bit smaller than the petsmart or petco further down the road but i kind of like that it makes it easier for us to get what we need and get out !

This review is about the groomers ONLY. The rest of the store is a pretty standard pet store chain.We brought our dog Chunk here on accident, thinking it was the correct location when really I was supposed to be at the Chkalov location. Devynn ended up helping us. Our dog Chunk is an extremely anxious dog, pretty strong, and is very wiggly. Luckily he’s not at all aggressive and is actually very submissive. But grooming him is very difficult, especially if he’s not comfortable with you. Devynn was able to do his nails while we were there, just to get kind of a status check on what Chunk is like. We set up an appointment for a later time and brought him back, and Devynn was ready for it. She took him back and within an hour and a half, he was bathed, de shedded, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, smelling fancy, and best of all, he was happy.Just for reference, our previous groomer decided to stop grooming Chunk because he was “too strong and put his teeth on” her. I have no problem with her deciding not to groom him anymore if she’s not comfortable with that, though his teeth on her is him being mouthy from anxiety, not actual biting. But she doesn’t know that, so I get it. They just did not vibe at all, and that’s okay.Devynn, however, was beyond amazing with him. I witnessed Chunk doing the mouthy thing when we were trying to switch to his harness from their leash and I was shocked and worried, but she just moved his head away and gently reprimanded him, and he stopped. He LOVED her. That in and of itself is already so great, but add to that the fact that she somehow groomed him SO well that he didn’t drop one loose hair for over a week since the groom. Prior to that he was an absolute hurricane of shedding hair, it was awful. The house is full of it. You even look at him and he drops hair. Devynn did the most amazing bathe and groom on Chunk that I’ve ever seen in four or five groomers. Prior to the last one, his other groomers had shut down or left the company, so we kept having to find new ones. She also recommended some good products in the store to help with his itchy skin. I will follow Devynn everywhere, seriously.

The Petco remodel looks really good! They have a great selection of cat treats. I typically go to one of the locally owned pet stores but was happy with the selection and it’s especially convenient since it has Ulta next door!

Vaccination ClinicI come 10-15 min early for my 5:50pm appointment. I wait for the tech to check in the person in front of me, she sees me waiting the entire time. I didn’t want to rudely interrupt the check in with the other guest so I wait my turn. It takes her until 6:05pm to check him in. That’s nearly half an hour since I arrived! Then she checks me in, I tell her I had a 5:50 appointment… She then says because it’s now past my appointment at 6:05pm she is unable to take me as they will need to pack up for the day. Seriously so ridiculous!!! I was waiting in line for 30 minutes and made eye contact with her throughout her conversation with the other guest so she obviously saw I was waiting. Not once did she just check in knowing the person she was talking to (who was obviously a walk-in as they had to get the whole medical history) would be the last appointment. She could’ve quickly asked if I had an appointment as there was no patients with the vet as she was talking with the other guest. Make it make sense… Why would you take a walk-in when you know you are expecting a 5:50pm appointment as your last possible patient. What is the point of taking appointments then if you don’t reserve the actual spot? No respect for patient time. Then she says their next available appointment won’t be for another 7 days. Need better training in customer service!!

I stood at the checkout for what felt like forever waiting for help. I looked around the front and no one was around. Eventually someone came to check me out. She said she was sorry and that there were only three people working today. You guys with need more people, a self checkout or train your people. Someone needs to be upfront to help customers. You got one star only because I had to give it to you.

Here we go again. I took my dog to this location to get groomed before the holidays and I explained to this individual what I wanted as far as a haircut and at the end of the day, that is my dog not hers. She does NOT have any room to make decisions for me and what have in my home. It is even in the notes from the other location on what I wanted in a haircut for my doggo and she didn't even call me nor my wife. My wife goes to pick up odin (our dog) and there is no visual change in how my dog looks. She literally made his fur even, brushed his teeth and trimmed his nails. I wanted her to cut off nearly all the hair from my dog because he sheds an insane amount and he will be at another persons house for the holidays. I don't know if ash is blind, deaf or stupid but she clearly didn't listen to a single word I said. I will never bring my dog back here. Extremely disrespectful undermining the parent and thinking it's ok to make his next appointment. SMH never again!

I took my two Bichons to the Petco on Chakalov on Saturday, December 30th. I was told they would cut their fur at 7/8ths. When I picked them up, their cut was extremely shorter than I was advised. The back side of Darby was cut too short, to the skin, and he has been miserable. The other Bichon, Finn, had his fur cut too short also. I believe we were charged for anti-allergic shampoo, but that is not the case: Both dogs are itching way more than they should. I was going to take a tip to each of the groomers, but have decided not to because of their poor work. I will probably go back to the Gresham store because they have received very good care there.

Came here after adopting a cat and the music was WAY too loud. I could hear it over earplugs. Not a pleasant place to shop and not good for the animals. The manager looked at me like I was nuts when I asked her to turn it down. Planned to spend quite a bit of money but we just grabbed the essentials and left.

Steve took the time to help me get the Online price for the dog food I had researched the previous night. I could not get the website to give me the 20% discount so went into the store where Steve took the time to match the On line price
