Normally, it is a great store. I don't know what happened, but the cashier was rude and more wanting me to hurry up and get out. Even went to the point of gaslighting me about my 5$ back I had already loaded. When I asked he began to "explain" that there wasn't one loaded so I showed him my app (where I had it previous loaded) and he went rolled his eyes and continued to say "you should have it loaded beforehand."Got my dogs food though.Lady in the dog isle was kind and friendly :) and the freight manager dude was responsive on getting ripped a bag of food picked up.

Employees were very helpful which made the shopping experience good. Not in stock for the items I needed and I have to wait one week for it to arrive in store. BUT the employee who helped - also took the time to pull my items online and I can have it sent to my home within two days. Great experience.

This place is ridiculous!! Horrible customer service!! They made me wait 30 minutes without saying anything to me! I ordered pet food online and when I voiced my concern this is what he did!! Unacceptable!! He started profusely coughing & going to the ground. Wow

It is always dark and disorganized when I come in. Doesn't seem to have everything stocked. Register employees have given me unsolicited advice about taking care of my animals, even once suggesting that the product that I was buying (litter of all things) was harming my animals. It felt very judgemental and did not make me want to shop here again even if they had everything I needed (which they normally don't).

I used to buy crickets from this location a couple of times a week. Normally all the staff is incredibly helpful and they've always refunded dead crickets. Today, after purchasing 60 crickets 2 days ago, 23 crickets had died. Rachel informed us this was "just the nature of crickets," and they were alive when we left. When they were sold to us, the cashier told us they weren't great, next time to come back when the shipment is fresher.FYI -Petsmart guarantees their crickets, go there

Our dog groomer had a baby and this led us to Petco! I was surprised at how easy it was to make an appointment on the app. Sam checked us in and took amazing care of our dog for the duration of his appointment. They were super helpful with any questions I had and even had ways to save me money. I appreciate this team.

I was here as a dasher shopping for a client. The item they needed asap for their pet was out of stock, and the shelves in this store were pretty empty. I was only able to get one of the items needed, I hope this

We went to Petco to buy some fish for our tank. First off I have 3 littles who are loud. The lady with pink hair shaved on one side that works at the fish station is super rude. She will make snarky comments to my kids. She doesn’t seem like she likes her job at all. She tells us the wrong prices of fish. Petco used to be a family friendly store but I guess not anymore. Definitely disappointed. This has happened the last 3 times we’ve gone to look at fish so no it wasn’t a bad day. Will be going somewhere new for sure..

I went here looking for stuff for my new puppy. The selection of collars, leashes, and harness was almost none. 😔 I definitely don't recommend going here of that is what your looking for. The rest of their selection of stuff was pretty average.

Loved this place. First time visitor, The Cave recommended by niece and it was a wonderful experience. Love everything: food, service, space and overall vibe... regret not visiting sooner. will be back 100%

Petco stores are universally clean and staffed by really nice people. I don't mind going there because of that. Then there's the added bonus of random puppers. Sold!Unfortunately, I'm not "sold" on their selection and prices.Part of the problem is that there seems to be a disconnect between the types of products people like to buy for their pets and what Petco purchasers are buying. Look at dog halters for example. Once these were a new thing that some folks bought. Now a LOT of people buy them instead of collars. And because they're getting purchased more, there are more styles - and I don't mean fabric choices. Vest-style halters have become extremely popular. I only ever find the strap style at Petco though.That's just one example. Petco seems to be lacking trend watchers in the right departments.Maybe they should consider pulling in and raising up some of their front line employees who know what people are asking for.

I wouldn't waste the trip going to this location. Chances are whatever your looking for is still in boxes or wrapped up on a pallet. These things are in the middle of the store. Theyre close to the registers for everyone to see, trip over or try and maneuver around. These things have been there for at least 2 weeks that we know of. Zero help or customer service from anyone.

I went with 2 stars only because the supply at this petco is pretty consistent and plentiful. However, what does not work is the lack of employees and ineptitude in what “curbside pickup” means. Twice I’ve ordered my dog’s food through the app for curbside pickup at this location. While I am abled bodied, I am extremely busy, so the times I need dog food my spouse has been the one available to grab it. When my spouse is the one going to get the 40+lbs dog food we purchase, I don’t want them picking it up. They have a bad back, which is one of the things that makes curbside so great. I just found out that the order last month took so long for my spouse to pick up, they ended up to going in, waiting in line, and taking the food out themselves. This is completely unacceptable.To test if this was a one off, and give this Petco location the benefit of the doubt, I ordered again, the exact same way I did previously. I waited in the car with my spouse for nearly 15 minutes. At this point, my work break was almost completely taken up by waiting. I hit the “remind the team” button twice. No such luck.When we decided we had enough waiting we walked in to pick it up our selves. Our order hadn’t even been grabbed from the “pick up order” shelving unit. While waiting in line you could hear the overhead speakers in a robotic voice telling the employees that there were multiple curbside orders ready to go. This was definitely frustrating because now I know the system isn’t broken, the employees just cannot handle this system. My recommendation would be to monitor this store and how they’re handling operations.For everyone else reading this, save yourself a lot of time and headache by going in to the store or shipping to your home. Avoid this store until they sort out their issues.

Store needs a better solution for shopping cart retention than not allowing shopping carts outside of the store. Hauling 50 pound bags of dog food by hand is ridiculous with the technology that is available.

Always brought my dog in to get nails trimmed. I suppose they have new employees because my dog can't go there now they say he's too big. They're lazy. They say he's too big and he moves.Also they insulted my husband By saying he can't come there anymore with the dog because the dog is too big. And the dog deserves better than us! They have no idea of our story and what we go through to care for Shame on them!

My 10-year-old son went there tonight to purchase a fish for his tank because he was unable to describe the fish tank so the person working there they refused to sell him the fish he left there very upset how in the hell can 10-year-old accurately describe a fish tank to these people. I think that was horrible customer service. We did a lot of business with them that ends. I will never spend another dollar in one of their stores again those people are absolutely horrible. And I will make sure all of my friends and family and their families know what happens so they don’t spend money there either this happened at the fourth plain store in Vancouver Washington

I have never been in a worse pet store and will not be going back. I didn't want to give it the one star. In the last few months this store has totally gone downhill. There are boxes of merchandise all around the isles. Some are open that you have to dig thru and others are just stacked around. I finally gave up trying to find a halter and shirt for my dog. On my last visit for bulk treats yesterday, there were no bags to put treats in. I asked the lady who appeared in charge and was rudely told there were no bags. I asked if I could use one of the bags they put fish in. She was very rude and said no, we have no bags so you can't get bulk treats. Needless to say I left and went to your competitor. This has been going on for some time and by the reviews I don't think corporate is doing a thing about it. You need to send a mystery shopper in to see how bad it is. On the other hand, your cashiers are friendly and appear to feel sorry for the mess. I have been in your other stores in the area and they are not like this. Unfortunately, this is the one closest to me.

I only go to this petco for the grooming department. Tosha Mackmer is an incredible groomer and a joy to work with. She has been our groomer for ten years. I will never go anywhere else.

This store is utter chaos. Dirty, nothing is marked, products all over the walkways, and their workers are extremely rude! We don’t shop at petco and figured we’d give it a try. HUGE mistake. Cashiers are know it alls who, instead of offering to help and explain things to us, instead threw her hands up and copped an attitude. We will NEVER return to this location. How embarrassing for petco.

Helpful and accommodating staff! They offer dog grooming as well as a large selection of beta fish. They also have a large fish selection and display in the middle of the store as well as ferrets and hamsters. They are located in a great location and it is easy enough to pop in and out for a quick stop.

So is the goal to encourage individuals to get corporate involved/animal welfare services? Putting guinea pigs in a mouse terrarium is absolutely laughable. What kind of exercise does that give guinea pigs, a larger animal? Setting yourself up for being responsible for their health issues once a customer adopts one of them. I am now getting things lined up so that you guys will definitely have a thorough look around at how you are improperly keeping animals. Calling certain people maybe will encourage you guys to actually truly care about animals. Ready yourselves.I’m begging you guys to PLEASE give them a proper amount of space. I’m literally crying typing this.

Last weekend I took my grandaughters in to get fish. They were very excited! We looked at some of the fish and I told them we needed to get help . The lady with the pink hair was sitting on the floor with boxes and said in a stern tone" are you ready for help now?" I said yes and while she was getting the fish my grandaughter made a comment about the glo fish and that they are injected with something to give them color. The clerk gettingnour fish says "Omg don't say that! They are not injected with anything. They are born that way.! The tone she used was loud and rudely stern and startled both of us. When I asked how much a fish tank decoration she told me an incorrect amount. It was much higher. I should have talked to someonecabout her behavior but it was late. Tonight discovered one fish has been attacking and killed 2 of my fish. Took it back and received a refund with no problems. I was told that the lady who was rude to us with pink hair I'd a fish specialist. I am going to go to different place for fish.

After spending 40 years in retail I can say that store was in the worst condition I have ever seen. At least a semi worth of freight on pallets and u boats on floor, along with store being emptyI asked cashier if there was a remodel going on or something ..she said they didn't have people to work. Honestly I'm amazed Oshawa hasn't shut the place down
