We had a great experience getting our sheepdog a haircut here. He can be reactive around new people so I did a lot of research to find a place with experienced handlers. I was really nervous when we dropped him off but Liz had great energy and was confident with him, which our dog responded to. She gave me an update at the end and said he needed a cone when getting his paws shaved-- the last place didn't have cones on hand and just rushed through the haircut! He looks amazing and we will definitely be back.

Dude, big ups to this locally owned and one of a kind lover of animals shop! We needed you!I’ve lived in the area for quite some time and was really hoping for a place like this. I called the shop asking about dog toys and one of the owners on the other end knew exactly what I was looking for by asking only a couple of questions.When I arrived the opening doors smelt so good like freshly groomed puppers and the like. I looked around and they had all kinds of raw hides, Icelandic horns, and what you would love for your doggo.The person who helped me knew I was the person on the phone asking about dog toys and has a Silver Lab and they helped point me out to plushy toys and heard what my boy wanted.My boy Rocco ended up with a Fluff & Tuff purple octopus, some Northwest Naturals raw frozen beef bones, and a cute love cookie. Thank you Civilized Wolf Grooming & Pet Supplies! Well done. I will be back!

Best grooming services in town. I own a border collie who I’ve taken to quite a few places around town to get groomed and no one has came close to this place. They just know what they are doing. They are friendly, professional and very helpful. I love their shop too they have a great variety of dog items.

Very caring friendly staff! Took very good care of my cat and got him cleaned up and shaved! They do book out and I had to wait a month for this appointment but it was well worth it! He will be going in every three months to get shaved down and cleaned up. Thanks guys!

Amazing custom Cut on my standard poodle! Katelyn is kind, skilled in her craft and pays attention to detail! It was my first ever professional grooming for my girl, who’s 2 years old, and can be nervous around new people. To much joy upon pick up she happily wagged her tail and was very calm and content in the care of Katelyn! I will be returning again for another haircut soon!! The price is worth the results in every way❤️🐩 thank you for making our experience amazing

I have a dog who has flocks rather than a normal coat and as such, it's a bit overwhelming. Katylen did a ton of research and made sure that she was familiar with how to care for the coat and took a lot of time outside of the normal grooming to really understand the needs of this breed of dog. The dog came home looking beautiful and a coat was fantastic. She also spent time educating me in the coat's care which I appreciated. I would recommend Civilized Wolf for all of your grooming needs. They far exceeded my expectations!

Awesome staff! Rebecca is a fantastic groomer, respects our pup and what he's up for that day. He loves playing with the other dogs, and he is ALWAYS happy when we pick him up. The store selection is also super, with something for every pet! We're "lifers" here. ❤️

They do the best job of grooming my GSD, she doesn't shed heavily for weeks after her appointment and she looks and feels beautiful. Also a great job with our retriever, he's so soft and fluffy!

Highly recommend for anyone with a cat that needs the occasional trim. They were wonderful with calming down our kitty and gave him a positive first grooming experience. Spent almost three hours with him and did a great job. Especially happy they could fit us in, since he was losing his winter coat and shedding everywhere.Looking forward to less litter on the floor and hair everywhere. We'll be back.

Staff is great, the selection for cats is a bit small but has all the essentials and everything is of high quality. I restock on peacock feathers and treats here when I go to the Farmers Market. They also had a really cute lickmat and wooden stand I bought to help my cat slow down when she eats.

We brought our sweet mini Australian labradoodle pup to Civilized Wolf for his first puppy (18 weeks old) cut and couldn't have been happier! They were so great with him and his first grooming experience, making it fun and positive and sending him home softer than he's ever felt. I think the best part was being able to see his gorgeous brown eyes again! I'm certain he will be happy to go back again for his next visit.

Great shop, love the selection of dog treats and toys. They did a fantastic job trimming our standard poodle’s nails and were very patient even though he is very strong and can be quite a handful when his paws are handled. Also picked up some fun new toys for the cats that they love. We will definitely be back!

Civilized Wolf is AMAZING! The entire staff is welcoming and friendly, and we always know that our dog is in great hands with them. Paige has been grooming our dog for nearly a year and every single time he looks spectacular. I didn't know where to take my mouthy terrier mix for his first nail trim, and upon my first time walking into Civilized Wolf we were greeted by a groomer with a calm demeanor and an obvious knowledge of dog behavior.My pup associates this space and the staff with so much joy. Even if we walk in for a nail trim he will burst through their doors and head straight to an employee.We are always happy to purchase healthy treats, supplements, and/or toys from their store because of the quality of service we have received from them.They are efficient, patient, knowledgable, encouraging, and kind. Really enjoyed this store!As an animal lover who does a ton of research and only wants the best for her pets.. I was in heaven. Great, reputable brands. Awesome enrichment options. They offer grooming and you can see the IMMACULATE grooming area from the front door. I don’t think I’ve seen a cleaner dog grooming station in my life.They had brochures for a vet who offers Chiro and PT which I thought was amazing!NW I’ll be back ♥️🐾

New dog store and groomer salon conveniently located in downtown Vancouver! The groomers and sales associates were really friendly and welcoming. We took our two goldens and they were groomed in 2.5 hours. They smelled amazing and came out looking fresh. We will definitely be coming back!

We just picked up our Shelties today from their first trip to " the Civilized Wolf" grooming studio. So totally satisfied again with the grooming results. Katelyn does such a professional and beautiful groom on Jody and Hope, they love and trust her very much. This is our second generation of Shelties that she has groomed, and she always takes pride in her work !!! Highly highly recommend this business.

Our girl Ester is a rescue who we recently adopted and has some anxiety issues. We took her here for grooming and not only did they do a fabulous job she was relaxed and happy when we picked her up. It is a clean, friendly well stocked shop that gives incredible care to their clients. We can't say enough good things about them. The Civilized Wolf is Esters groomer from now on.
