Twin Gables a very lovely B & B. Kathleen, the host, is very attentive and super nice. Rooms are lovely, and the views are amazing. Right along the Skamokawa Creek you wake up with birds chirping and a wonderful sunrise. The food is amazing and makes you feel out home. Plus Carlton the cat is the best!I will 100% be back.Rooms: Wonderful rooms, basic, but you don't need a lot. Just lovely. Beds and pillows are great. Shower is small, but that is okay.Food & drinks: Wonderful breakfast that is filling and the correct portion size.

Had a terrific experience at the Twin Gables Inn. My wife and I have never been to a B&B that was a better value for the price paid. Very quiet, comfortable place and Kathleen was great hostess. All three of our breakfasts were delicious and filling. She accommodated specific requests perfectly. I encourage you to not be too concerned about the images on Google Earth and Street View. There is a small engine repair shop next door that makes the view a bit unflattering, but I am very glad we took the chance and booked anyway. The Inn is tucked into a little neighborhood that was very pleasant and everyone we encountered were friendly and welcoming.

Loved staying here! I stayed in the larger of the two rooms in the Inn and loved having the table and armchairs. The Inn is right on the river and I was posted up in an armchair facing the river and reading for most of my stay. Kathleen was incredibly kind and accommodating. There is a park with trails, beaches, and views of Oregon right across the street. The treats in the room upon arrivals as well as the breakfasts were completely delicious and varied; my partner (who was not with me) was jealous. Will likely plan another trip here with him this winter/spring!

Excellent place to stay in SW Washington. Kathleen is a gracious host with quick communication and knows how to keep a tidy accommodation. The vacation rental was spacious for a couple and had a nice kitchen and bedroom. The complimentary freshly baked shortbread was a great touch after a long drive to the lodging. The Inn is in a secluded, quiet town which is a great place to get away as well. Hope to return soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Kathleen at the Twin Gables Inn. The building itself is charming and warm with a nice view of the creek. Walking distance to the store, restaurant, and park. My room, while small, was perfect for my needs. Kathleen's hospitality was top notch. She accommodated my late check-in time and early mornings. When you consider the amount of (delicious) food and coffee she serves for breakfast, it is a terrific value. Most important to me, the bed and pillows were just what I needed (medium firm traditional innerspring bed with thin/firm, stackable pillows) as I have a bad back. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Hope I have a reason to come back to Skamokawa in the future!

This place is so wonderful! Kathleen was an excellent and meticulous host, she left us fresh cookies in our room and cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and cozy and the property backs up to a beautiful little river as well as a short walk to a beach on the Columbia. Will definitely stay again for the hospitality and charm!

I can't even express the wonder of our stay in the apartment unit at Twin Gables. The setting is perfect on a serene and precious channel of the Columbia with a river beach right across Route 4. You can't beat that. The apartment was cozy and provided everything you need to feel at home, including the most comfortable sofa and 4 poster bed. They welcomed our small dogs, and that sealed the deal. Kathleen, the owner and host, is the sweetest.

My family stayed in the little apartment with the kitchen. It was so cute and perfect for us. Kathleen really thought of everything we might need. The bed was soft and loads of blankets and pillows. The shower was a tad small, but still got nice and hot. As a bonus, we had fresh baked cookies upon arrival! My boys enjoyed them very much. It was conveniently located on Hwy 4, near a beautiful park with beach access, and near Cathlamet and Puget Island where you can take a ferry ride to Oregon. I would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway along the Columbia river.

Kathleen is a gracious host and the apartment they offer is amazing. Clean and well kept. It has a nice antique feel but updated with a little kitchen and nice bath. Bed was very comfortable.

We stayed at Twin Gables a little over a month ago and it was such a lovely, quaint stay. We got in late from a drive up the coast and Kathleen wrote helpful notes for us to find our room. It was so sweet and thoughtful. Our room had a cozy, comfy feel to it. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious. It was a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere and truly unique. It’s definitely worth your stay.

We stayed at the apartment for one night. Everything was clean and as advertised. Kathleen even had some fresh coffee ground up for us. The price is excellent and can't be beat, especially for four people! My wife is from New England and she definitely felt right at home in this Cape Cod style home. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area again!

Spent 3 nights over a Labor Day 2018. Beautiful building decorated in a quaint style of the early 1900’s. Kathleen is a most gracious host and her breakfast are outstanding. Both her and her husband are kind and care about your stay with them. If I’m in the area again we will stay with them again.

Where to start....twin gables is a quaint B&B, wonderful place to stay. My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary. We were welcomed so graciously with a bottle of wine to celebrate. Kathleen is a wonderful host with a warm welcoming smile. And the breakfast, homemade and filling. We will definitely be returning.

Kathleen was an amazing, attentive, thoughtful, helpful host and her B&B was extremely clean, beautifully decorated in an uncluttered but warm way with antique rugs and precious antiques. Her cooking was excellent, the location unique, and our stay was truly a relaxing getaway, THANK YOU Kathleen! PS: the cat was a very capable host as well!

Very nice stay in a lovely building with great hosts. Food was amazing and is better than any of the restaurant choices nearby. They only bad thing is the shower is very small and the walls are thin so you can hear lots. Luckily there isn't too much noise nearby to hear so it shouldn't be an issue. Overall a great stay at a lovely location.

During this time where travel is scary, we felt very safe and comfortable staying here. It’s description doesn’t do it justice. When you go through her gate it is like walking into a secret garden. Kathleen was an excellent host. She gave us space and was always there when we needed her.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 relaxing days, June 1st-4th, 2018. The inn is in a great location for going out and doing day trips. One day we ventured out to Long Beach and a state park and on another day we did some hiking at Mt. St. Helens. The drives to both of these locations were scenic and not too long. There is also a nature trail and a deer refuge near the inn.As for the inn, we stayed in the smaller of the two rooms, "Agnes's room." It was a bit small but worked well for us and the mattress was comfortable. If you're looking to hang out in your room, I would go for "Edna's room" as it is larger and has a little table and chairs. There is a window air conditioner in the room but we did not need to use it. There are fresh towels daily and I enjoyed the locally made, natural bar soap that was provided.Kathleen, the inn keeper, is absolutely wonderful. I had to study for an exam while I was there (gosh darn grad school!) and Kathleen saw me and brought me a lamp to study under. Totally unexpected and completely appreciated. About an hour before we requested breakfast, she brought coffee upstairs outside our room. Her breakfasts are Pinterest-worthy dishes of divine deliciousness. Each day we had fresh fruit, coffee, and orange juice in addition to a main-course with a side of breakfast meat: rosemary cream cheese scrambled eggs with hash browns one day and lemon ricotta pancakes with a cherry compote the next. What a treat! If you stay in the apartment rather than the inn, I highly suggest you book a breakfast for one of your mornings. This B&B is truly a little hidden gem!

My good friend was getting married near by and I needed a place to stay for my brother and his wife and me and my wife. I booked rooms here and so happy I did... This is a great place to stay breakfast was better then any I have ever had at a BNB. If ever in the area I highly recommend this place..

Wife and I stayed in their apartment with our 1 and 3 year old while the rest of her family camped across the street at Vista Park. We made the right decision! Opted for breakfast every morning which was delicious and delivered to the apartment. Hung out at Vista Park and golfed in Cathlamet during the day. Slept great in the comfy bed at night!

Absolutely wonderful! Dinner was incredible, room in the 'apartment' was perfectly comfortable, and hostess Kathleen is delightful. I hope to come stay again!

This is a charming B&B located on the water with very clean, and comfortable accommodations. Kathleen, the inn keeper, was very gracious and accommodating to our dietary needs, making extraordinary breakfasts daily.
