This place was jamming on Friday prime rib night!! Non stop people coming in and out... We felt lucky to get a table. There were only two servers but they could have used a third.... But the two who were working were AMAZING... We got great speedy attentive service even though the place was slammin!! Of course we ordered the Friday night prime rib special.... And it did not disappoint...😋... We were told the owner takes special pride and personally cooks the prime rib.... You can certainly tell that's a fact. It was absolutely fabulous along with the mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cool place just a few miles off Exit 59 on I-5!!

Great little diner! The waitresses are friendly and funny, really great people. The building is old, very old, and decorated with historical artifacts and pictures from the early 1900s.It's cozy. The customers have always been friendly, and all of that adds to the cheery, fun atmosphere. If you're in the area, I recommend you try it.

We came all the way from Longview for the prime rib and it was honestly the worst prime rib I've ever tried. Canned green beans and they were all out of mashed potatoes so I got the fries which were nasty frozen crinkle cuts. Ran out of soup so I got the salad which the lettuce was about to turn. After we got our food the restaurant died down and we feel we were ignored. My girlfriend and I walked out hungry. We won't be back.

My work partner and I came here to fix up an empty house. Stopped in this spot for lunch and it was really delicious! Tastes like mom food! We will be back while working in the area and I already have plans to bring my mom there on my day off to try their food. Everyone was so nice! It seemed like they all knew each customer by name and gave them the warmest welcomes. Amazing all around REAL food and people. Thank you very much!!

Ouch! Normally we love this place & get to-go when we don't have time to stop in. This time was a real let down. In the past our order would either have foil or nothing on the bottom. As you can see from the photos, it transferred the ink to the hot food. Both orders had it, which made us unwilling to finish. Who knows what kind of chemicals are in that ink! It's probably just fine in small doses, but not appetizing. Nothing like this has ever happened when we dine in & the food/service is always great then. When there's nothing on the bottom & the food is put in right off the grill, sometimes the Styrofoam will melt a bit, which can't be good for you to consume! So if you're looking to get hot food to-go, be sure to ask for foil in the bottom, or expect a few extra ingredients to come with it.

For two decades, Little Crane has been my go-to spot for exceptional dining experiences. The food here is consistently outstanding, showcasing a diverse range of flavors and textures that never fail to impress. Whether I'm indulging in their succulent steaks or savoring their amazing soups, each dish is a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs behind the scenes. Little Crane's commitment to using fresh ingredients and delivering top-notch service has kept me coming back time and time again. While browsing through reviews, I've noticed the occasional critique, but they pale in comparison to the overwhelming praise showered upon Little Crane. With a customer base exceeding 100,000, it's inevitable that mistakes may occur sporadically. However, what truly sets this restaurant apart is its ability to rise above any shortcomings and consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience. Little Crane's dedication to feeding everyone who walks through its doors, coupled with its unwavering commitment to excellence, makes it a true gem in the culinary landscape.

I held back a five star until I can come back and try their breakfast menu. First visit I had an order of fried cheese curds (yum), and then had the porky burger with tots (pictured). Any place that offers hot tots is already on the fast track to five stars 👍.Definitely has a small town atmosphere with plenty of old photos of Vader. Nice staff, charming atmosphere. In the words of the T-800, "I'll be back."

Update from March 25th. A great local restaurant. Another great dinner. The food is prepared to perfection each and every time. We went there for for the Friday night Prime Rib. We ordered prime rib, very "rare". It was the best Prime Rib meals we have had in a long time. The meat was very flavorful, cooked to profection. The sides; green beans, baked potato, salad and ice cream Sunday made it a complete meal. Great service, and very friendly staff. The restaurant was very busy. People were coming and going all the time we were there.. The restaurant was kept very clean. Amanda was a great waitress and the cook, is the best.

I decided to take a break from driving I-5 to try somewhere new (to me) for breakfast. Vader is definately not on the highway, and that turns out to be a good thing! The Little Crane is not fancy, but it's a great small-town cafe with good food, at reasonable prices. I selected the Chef Special, which was one egg, one meat, and your choice of pancake, waffle, or French toast. I opted for the French toast. Each item on the plate was well executed. The French toast was not your typical over-the-top powdered-up restaurant version, but more like your mom used to make - and I found that refreshing.I recommend taking the scenic side trip to Vader. I'll be going back.Oh yes, and since the cafe is located adjacent to BNSF's Seattle - Portland mainline, there's some Big Time railroading to watch, both freight and passenger - Union Pacific has trackage righrs.UPDATE: Found myself near Vader this morning and decided to take the 3-mile detour off I-5. Went for the Waffle version of the Chef's special this time (you can also get a pancake). This is probably better than the French Toast version! The waffle was thick like the Belgian variety and was perfect with warmed syrup.

This little cafe made room for 30 motorcyclists in their back room to enjoy a meal. The service was kind, and the portions were full. On the complaint.. the credit card reader had to be manually typed in so it took forever to check us all out.Turns out, once I got the credit card statement I saw that they had charged me twice. So downgrade on rating.

Fish was overcooked and tough and too much coating. Fish at the IGA in Winlock is soooo much better and perfectly cooked every time. The beef òn my husband's sandwich was also dry and tough. Neither of us likes to waste food, but we couldn't finish it. So many people seem to like the food here, we were extremely disappointed. I also had a cup of Navy bean soup. That was very good. Waitress was great.

You won't believe how good the food is. They have a melt in your mouth prime rib and a full meal right down to dessert. It's like going home. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your meal.

Stopped here for lunch on the way home to the Seattle area. Absolutely delicious chicken fried steak! My iced tea tasted great, too; nice, fresh-brewed flavor. I'll definitely come here again!
