My favorite store to shop in. The owner is friendly, and if you happen to pass by him in the store, he is always willing to help and makes sure you're satisfied. The Hanks sausage is the best I've ever tried, and the store is unique with all the stuffed exotic animals. Its so nice having a local grocery store that has retained the 'small town' feel and friendliness. And Hanks has many items that I cant find at the other stores.👍

Clean, friendly, great variety, and well stocked. We got an early lunch from the deli which offered plenty for the family. Delicious. Will go back when in the area.

Hanks is my favorite grocery store of all time! The staff are happy, and are treated like family, as are the customers. Hank is indeed often to be found in the aisles restocking and checking that customers are finding what they're after. I've recently (and inadvertently) done some competitive intel with high end grocery stores in the Seattle area, and they "ain't not nothin''' on Hank's. He does a lot of good for the local community as well. What's not to like? My only ask here is that the out-of-towners show some respect and consideration for folks working so hard to deliver quality products at fair prices. I'll be serving up prime rib roast on Christmas day, and I learned to cook it thanks to the guys in the meat department (just reserved my roast yesterday morning).

Most of the staff here are kind and friendly. They generally have a good variety of options with good that are generally more healthy. Some of the sale items can be a great value, and the meat seems to be of better quality here then what you'll find in Walmart or other grocery stores. Hank himself can be seen helping out in the store with a friendly smile and I truly believe he cares for the community! I'm happy to support the store and see it thrive. 😊

An incredible example of a small town business out doing the larger places. Better service, more unique, GREAT people. There is not a better place to bring your kids when traveling through.The meat department is second to none, and you HAVE to try their own jerky.Five hundred stars and you'll see why.

I did not expect to find a gem like this in Twisp. Well stocked with an amazing variety of product to choose from. The selection of specialty cheese is awesome, produce (organic or not) was good, deli - top notch. Great staff. I loved everything about this store..

One of the nicest grocery stores I have been in years. They have great prices too. We drive 40 min just to shop at this store. Their selection of natural products is amazing! Produce, freshest ive seen. Meat combinations, rubs, and spices are all top notch. Hard alcohol, wine, and beer for all spirit enthusiasts! Overall, our family highly recommends Hank's!

Fantastic place to stop for groceries or enjoy the delicatessen. Wide variety of goodies at the bakery too. I thought the prices were great and it worth checking out the specials. Cheapest price I have seen on eggs in a long time. We were able to pick up everything we needed including a deck of cards so we could play cribbage at the cabin. On top of all that they even have an amazing collection of taxidermy game animals, so it is entertaining as well. Definitely coming back!!

I absolutely LOVE this store! The employees are friendly, helpful, and never make you feel unwelcome. The produce is very high quality, the meats are also very appealing as well as reasonably priced, and the overall product availability is pretty good.I feel no real need to shop anywhere else; unless, I need specialty items.

Ha Ms is a must stop place! My whole family makes sure to stop because this store has all kinds of smoked meats that they smoke themselves!! Smokey cheddar is a TOP priority and the flavor...oh my gosh!! Just plain great price too. Amazing. I will go EVERY time I pass through! Thanks Hank!

Very clean and pricing is good. Large shopping selection including a bakery and deli. Larger selections than the store in Winthrop (8 miles away) also a large hardware store next door. We needed pound cake for a dessert at the campground and yes they have it!

This is a great supermarket! They have everything you need, a great selection of fancy stuff (way more than 10 years ago), and really great house-made meat products. The buttermilk sausage is awesome. Lots of locally grown and produced products. Hanks is one of the reasons I still love the area, even though I don't make it there as often as I'd like. Also, a large display of game trophies. More than I've ever seen in one place. Super-friendly staff and customers. They have little kid-sized shopping carts (I've mixed feelings about this). My 3-year old daughter tipped hers over twice, and both times there was an earnest pre-pubescent youth who ran over and helped pick up the pieces. You really only have two choices for groceries in the area, and they're both great. But I think Hanks get the prize.

I absolutely love this store. a MILLION times better than thriftway. worth the gas, bus ride, whatever you gotta do. i was taking the bus with my groceries and they walked me to the bus stop. great prices, you can't beat the sales and the service. truly a wonderful establishment.

Daily local shopper who enjoys not only the unprecedented service but the amazing produce, top quality meats and surprising hot colored savings cards weekly. No need to shop elsewhere when they strive to beat big box store prices whenever they have the chance for their local community shoppers and out of town tourists. Kudo's Hank's. Love you guys.

Good deli. Fresh and great selection. Store has wonderfull variety of cheeses and meats especially there house made sausage. Wine selection varies in price but some name brands below 5 dollars. It is a destination spot for us whenever we head up the Methow.

Hank is great about passing his savings onto the customers. He tries to buy in bulk, especially if it's a great buy or a sale to him. He will then mark down those items. His meat section is the kind you can only find in an smaller, independent grocery store; the kind of meat shop that went out of fashion 40 years ago. He always has at least four butchers working at once. During the summer months, he sells both aged beef and aged wild game. Year round, he sells locally grown meats, including wild game. His produce section is small but of good quality. Again, he sells locally grown produce. There aren't too many places where you can buy cherries in season for 99 cents a pound, but because he buys them locally, we get to do just that. He, also, sells local wines, sauces, jams, jellies, honey and much more. When a customer requests items they don't have, they will make a huge effort to get it for them. If a customer is buying items by the case on a regular basis, he will try to give them a break. Finally, Hank is a very generous community member, helping programs such as the local food bank, a local program to assist with holiday baskets for low income people, the local senior centers meals, and much, much more.

Not only is this the best store in the valley, based on variety you would think Hank's is located in a bigger city. A top notch deli, produce and meat department really stick out. I don't know of any other grocery store where the owner walks around and visits with patrons. Thanks for all you and your staff do!

A different commenter said it is generally over priced...compared to what? Where is the next closest grocery store with their varied selection? I find this store to be awesome. Great people and Hank's special products are beyond compare! yummmmmmmm on the Sweet and Spicy Flank Steak Jerky!

Love Hank's, and the man himself. We live in Kelowna BC but always make a point of shopping at Hank's when nearby. One of my very favourite stores - excellent selection, great prices and lots of specials. Friendly and helpful staff.

They have some amazing stuffed animals! Comparable to a cabellas. The people here are very friendly. We stopped here to get kids some more snacks for the car ride, prices weren't too bad.

This is the only grocery store in twisp Washington. It is every bit as good as people say. Sadly, the owner has never required masks and does not use a mask himself. You can hear people coughing and see them with their masks hanging from an ear, or in a pocket. I have tried to go in very early in the morning but that does not work. People will actually bump up against you and touch you. They will take their mask aside to speak with you and this includes staff. Vaccine uptake in twisp was very low. So many people are sick. The attitude seems to be that one simply gets the virus and then gets on with life. Do not live in fear, they say. I am ordering my food online, and staying out of buildings that do not require genuine breathing masks worn correctly.Disregard this review if you consider the pandemic to be a hoax.

Their smoked fish and beef jerky are the very best we've had. If you can get the smoked fish unfrozen, which you cannot anymore due to new overdone governmental regulations. Their fresh smoked salmon, and fat fish were the best in the world, and still are, if you can buy them before they get frozen.We have many more good things to say about their deli, their meats and meat department butchers, and also about the whole entire store overall, and the people who work there, but we will need to come back and edit/add to this later. - <EQKRS>

Good selection. Also they smoke several meats and cheeses in house. Good prices on house brand items. Good specials. Items generally pricey compared to big retail grocery chains, but still the cheapest in the valley.
