The Owner is a great person. He's fair with the prices. I have gone there many times. I bought so many dvds and a guitar. Just a nice place to go, he also has tools and game (play stations). BARNEY is a great guy. I always enjoyed spending time talking to him. I hope that he still remembers me, I used to go in and buy lots of dvds and when it was time for me to leave the area I left him some Stine's and a chair masseger(? Spelling). Will be back to see you all this summer!

Sad when they sell stuff like Ryobi 18" battery operated for 350.00 when you can purchase same thing from Amazon etc for 159.00.I was just there thier prices way over priced when I can get stuff 1/2 thier price off line

The most fair & decent pawn shop I've ever seen! After several visits now, I am still shocked by their integrity and kindness. They treat you fairly and like a human being. I've never seen this level of integrity at a pawn shop before.5 stars - save your time, go here FIRST!!!

I like Barney but getting to pet his 3 dogs is always the highlight of my visit. A few months ago I bought a new Ryobi chainsaw and I saved almost 25% off the Home Depot price. I frequently tell friends who are buying tools to stop there before Home Depot/Lowes. I've also sold gold and silver scrap and always received a fair price. I work next to the coin shop on Blvd and Pacific and Barney pays a lot more. He runs an honest pawn shop and has good prices on used/new tools.

I was referred to this business by another local business and I couldn’t be happier! Barney is a helluva man and a Veteran and I will absolutely recommend their services every single time! Not to mention their 4 legged security system! After my transaction was successfully completed I stayed to BS with Barney. I love this place every one who works here is so kind and helpful. They have the funniest signs ever. And Barney has helped so many people and they are a proud supporter of our town. They have a great selection of stuff from A to Z. And Barney also will post warnings about scams on their website to protect are community. Just beat Pawnshop and people ever.

One of the most generous business owner out there!!! Went in to pawn something and came out with the most unexpected thing ever. I just love people who still gives back and dont expect anything. They gave me 44% more!I went to Cash Pawn America first. They insulted me with low-ball pricing for two factory sealed OLED Nintendo switches I wanted to get a Loan on. So I went to Tumwater Pawn Brokers. They offered me exactly 44% MORE on a Loan than CPA offered. Go HERE first. These guys know their numbers and they are FAIR!

They are very helpful and caring and actually care about their customers and there not there just to try and make a quick buck off you. They did me a huge favor just so I had enough gas to make it to work and make it home when they definitely didn't have to. There very knowledgeable and honest. If you don't want to get ripped off and what somewhere to do good honest business I highly recommend going to this shop over all the others. Plus they have great deals and there more than happy to work with you. Great guys, very honest, caring and helpful. Don't waste your time going somewhere else! This is the place to go I promise you!!

I came here because they had the highest rating of all pawn shops in Olympia, & I'm so thankful for this review system because otherwise I'd have never found this place.They're prices are great and the people were very friendly, though I could tell they were trying to gauge my attitude at first, they warm up quick.They offer a pay off/layaway type plan that other shops don't do. If your 3 months is up and you don't have the money to get your property out of pawn, they will let you pay off the interest and they will renew the contract for another 3 months. I love this feature.I recommend them to everyone when the topic comes up.See you fellas tomorrow, I got a payment to make.

Usually pretty fair, except I called before closing and they said I had a few minutes so I race there only to be met entering the door with multiple people shouting at me "No more customers!" I think that situation could have been handled an little better considering I had just called 3 minutes prior.

I've been doing business with these folks for years. They've been been good to me, regardless of whether I needed money or needed to spend it. I dont live nearly as close anymore and they are still and always will be my go to shop. Good people and an honest business.

I've been coming to Tumwater Pawn for the past 13 years (since 18 years old). And I love the place. Heck its my local pawnshop. I always go there to Barney before I try any other pawnbroker. I like coming in and all the employees know me by name cause it makes it easier to get loans and buy. Barney and his employees have always been more than fair and honest to me when getting a loan whether its them buy/loaning on Gold, Silver, Guns, tools, or electronics I've never felt token by this place. Cause its not about them paying more or less than the other shops, it's about the experience and the trust that your not getting token advantage of that make me come back time and time again.

I was referred to this place because they beat anyone's prices supposedly. They sounded shady over the phone. I called to get pricing, they said that it varied depending on condition. My item was a glock 19 gen 4, never been fired, 4weeks old. Based on that information the appraiser said he could not give any figures and avoided it all to together, old school sales tactics at work. Got prices from MULTIPLE places and still went in to give these guys a shot. They attempted to say that my holsters and mag pouches were worthless to them although they wanted them. Gave me a low ball price of $300 at which that point I stepped aside politely for other customers to be helped while I contacted my husband to make sure he was okay with that ( a 20second phone call). When then I accepted it they took off $100 going back on there word in less than 60 seconds. Turns out I went to another pawn and got $175 more than there offer and the holsters made ALL the difference. If I could but zero stars or even negative stars I would. They tried to take advantage of my gender and they were lower on there appraisal by over $100 to EVERY SINGLE place that I have been and were rude to add. The difference between this organization verses the others was not just a money factor, but in absolute disrespectful attempt to rip off a woman. I recommend any pawn shop other than this place. Google a pawn shop, cover your eyes, and pick out a pawn shop but this place.

I had gone here yesterday for the first time because they were having sales on PlayStation 4. Bought one and got it home and it didn't work. Took it back about an hour and a half after I bought it and they exchanged it and showed me that the second one worked. Only reason they got 4 stars instead of five is because of the distance I had to drive there and back twice and there was a model number issue for a second making me think I just bought a 125 dollar paper weight. But over all a good experience, and they made it right

Is this store a front? All they sell are overpriced retail box tools that you can find cheaper down the street at Home Depot! They must have a very select clientele that need money loans but dont come here to buy anything or for a pawn shop deal.

I am a woman and The Tumwater Pawnshop has never taken advantage of me or any other women when I was in store. In fact I see them go above and beyond to help people even if the owner has to dip into his own pockets to make it happen. And how many businesses will advise you to go to their rival shop. But Tumwater pawn does they will let you know if they don’t take something why they don’t take it and who will. They will also let you know of another one that would offer more money. I like that they care and don’t want people to lose the item they pawned. And the Tumwater pawn is big supporters of our police department, fire department, the schools and many other community stuff that effects us all.

I lost power for 8hrs over the weekend and I rely upon it to run my oxygen. I tried calling cash exchange, they wouldn't even hold a generator for 40 minutes for me. I walked in the door explained my situation ready to buy what ever he had. Two minutes later this Angel of a man says "you take this on loan and bring it back when the power comes back on. I was so overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of this amazing man who didn't think twice about it that my friend and I both through our arms around him in tears of joy and gratitude for the kindness and generosity of this amazing man who was more concerned with helping a neighbor in need than increasing his cash flow. If we all behaved more like this gentleman we would all have what we need. I'll never forget his kindness and I'll be a loyal customer for life. Thank you Bernie, God bless.👼👍👍
