Love BLNF! The owner and all staff are so helpful and pleasant. I honestly look forward to going there even if it's just for dog food or chicken food (and conversation). Never had a bad experience there and I always spend too much there come garden time but I go away happy. Btw, garden seeds / starts prices and quality easily beat box store prices. Love this place!

Our dog is normally very anxious about getting her nails trimmed. For the first time, the groomer was very good and comforting to our dog. Staff was very friendly and inviting. Definitely our go to spot from now on.

Ok folks. I'm writing this on July 14th and where most places have no hanging baskets left, Black Lake N & F have beautiful ones that are so full and only $30! What a value. I got two. One for the sunny side and one for the shade. The shade baskets are lovely and some have plants that come back every year. I also bought a few of their potted plants too. Plants you don't see at the big box stores.Service is great too. Friendly and ready to load your purchases.It's a great opportunity to shop local.The parking lot is small and can be tricky on a 45 MPH road but it's worth the stop.

I have been saying for years I am going to stop by and see what this cute place has to offer - I finally did today and am so sad I waited so long! The owner is super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, took the time to offer excellent resources, and offers a variety of garden/feed supplies at wonderful prices! We have been customers for years. Sharon and Steve are helpful and friendly people who will go out of their way to serve their customers. We buy planting supplies and dog food and always leave the store satisfied and pleased with the service. If you want to buy particular plants--such as Japanese maples--Sharon can sometimes get them for you from wholesale nurseries. Sharon gives good advice, based upon an amazing knowledge of the local area.

I was looking for a specific brand of dog food which currently isn't sold at Black Lake Nursery & Feed. Rather than trying to upsell me on any other product, the person helping me at the time graciously and quickly recommended another store a few minutes away where she knew they sold the brand I was looking for. It's customer-focused decisions like this that make me want to share Black Lake Nursery's name and recommend them to others because I know that they have our and our pet's best intentions at heart. For any products I need that they do sell at Black Lake Nursery & Feed, I'll be turning to their offering first from now on and recommend them to anyone who asks me. The lady who has been working whenever I come in is really helpful. Last time I came in looking to buy straw to mulch my garden beds. When I told her how big of a garden I had she recommended I didn't buy her compressed straw bales, as it would've taken too many and been too expensive. Instead she pointed me to a local farmer who sells straw bales locally for cheap. I really appreciate her not trying to make a quick buck but instead helping me out.
