Such over the top amazing service. Went the day before they shut down for the season. The food had so much flavor and was served quickly. They let us pick apples. Lots of pretty flowers. Fun porch activity for kids and MAJECTIC view of the mountain and river. The bathrooms were weird because you walk down a pretty staircase outside and go into the basement for single stall use. What a gem though. Inside is cozy and fun. Plenty of parking. Cool historic photos and merchandise to buy.Kid-friendliness: My kid fell after running around and they gave us free Popsicles

This restaurant has one of the absolute best burgers I’ve ever had. I had the black n blue burger with their homemade potato chips. I didn’t want my burger to end it was so good!For dessert we had the mixed berry cobbler with huckleberry ice cream and it was so very good!We sat outside on the patio which has a wonderful view of the forest and the Toutle River.The whole experience was wonderful and the staff was very friendly.This place is a must-go when in the area, you won’t be disappointed!!We plan on coming back in July on our next camping trip.

Stopped here on our way out after hiking and we’re happily surprised by Fire Mountain Grill! We were greeted by the door by our server, so friendly, fast, and hospitable. It was just warm enough to sit on the patio, so got to enjoy river views-great location!The veggie burger was a unique combo of beans/veggies, very flavorful and big! And the berry cobbler was delicious! Got ours to go and got a container FULL of juicy berries and sweet cobbler chunks.

This was fantastic! The server was a sweetheart, the food was quite delicious. Even as a shrimp hater, the Coconut Shrimp with Raspberry Chipotle sauce was awesome, it just went together so well. My wifes western burger was awesome, by chicken bacon ranch "burger" was awesome....and i highly recommend the fries.The view over the river was stunning, granted we had the perfect corner spot on the deck, but it was beautiful! Highly recommended stopping if on the way or coming from a trip from the Mt.

Nice little restaurant on your way through Toutle, WA. There was only one server working the restaurant when we went, but there was only us and another table at the time. Seating inside and out on the patio. Nice view of the river out back. Simple menu, but the classic burger and elk burger we got were good. They make their own in house chips, but I preferred the beer battered fries. Also got the berry cobbler which was delicious. Nice spot after a long trip out to Mount St. Helen's and back.

Nice quaint restaurant. Beautiful deck view overlooking the river. I got the PNW salad with chicken and a side of fries. All was tasty! Service was good as well. If you need to use the restroom, it's underneath the restaurant (go outside and down the steps through the arch. There are signs guiding the way).Vegetarian options: Had vegan burger & salads.

Beautiful view of the river from this place! Worth it just for the sitting arrangement. Doesn't hurt that the food is excellent too. We particularly liked the fries and house Tartar. The hosts were pleasant and service reasonably fast. Overall I don't think you can have a better experience than this one in the area.

Excellent service, we were seated immediately, good food (except I am not a fan of the home made chips). Oh my gosh, it is true...they have fantastic cobbler. Well worth the 30 minute drive just for the cobbler. The flavors are rich and deep. You take that first bite and close your eyes and are pretty much in heaven over how good it is.

Absolutely a must see in Cowlitz County. The best burgers around...took my Mom for Mother's Day and enjoyed the great view, awesome service and the best food!Another great Mother's Day lunch and Moscow Mules with Mom! Great service and food, as always! And the cobbler was delicious 😋

This is a cozy place to eat on your way to or from Mt. St. Helen's. The servers are friendly and the food is fantastic . They even have a burger challenge! Lots of beautiful artwork inside and plenty of outside seating both covered and un covered. Inside was rustic but charming . Only downside is they serve coconut prawns and fry everything else in the same oil so if you have a coconut allergy anything deep fried is off limits . Waitress was very nice and accommodating to our food allergies (dairy/nuts) would deffinetly stop here again if we are in the area !

We have to resist the urge to make this a weekly stop. The service & food are amazing. I love their homemade veggie burgers. Their fries are perfection and their cobbler is beyond epic! Our favorites are the apple cobbler and the peach cobbler but they don’t have it often so we “settle” for the berry cobbler and are never disappointed. The topping on the cobbler is indescribable, you have to check it out. Just be aware that you might get hooked like we did!

Amazing view, delicious food!We live in Vancouver and decided to take a trip to Mt st Helens and looked for a good place to eat on the way, we looked at the reviews and decided this was the place. So glad we came. The food was delicious, I had the fish & chips, the beer battered fish was crispy and delicious, the tartar sauce was home made. The burgers were huge! The chili on the chili cheese fries were homemade and very good. The kids meals come with a LARGE portion a little car toy & even a scoop of ice cream for dessert. My favorite things about this restaurant were the amazingly beautiful view on the back deck, the best darn cobbler I’ve probably ever had(and I’m from the south) and such friendly waitresses/staff. Great experience, we will be back when we visit again. I’d love to try more delicious menu items.

Darling log cabin restaurant on the way to/from Mt. St. Helens.Great food, cordial service. Accommodating for covid-19 and dog friendly 🐕 🐕‍ 🐩🐶.Generous portions, but be careful, because you MUST ORDER their special recipe mountain berry cobbler with ice cream for dessert‼️ 🏔🍇🍮🍦We had chicken strip & coco fried prawn baskets. The fries 🍟 were excellent. 😋

We've eaten here a few times now in the last 6 months or so. Food has been consistently good. We have enjoyed the view of the river off the back deck. Dessert has been wonderful. Prices are reasonable, and service has been good. We'll be back. There are always folks here... which I believe speaks to the quality of the place.

Worth the wait! It was a busy Easter weekend and a big group of bikers had come in before us, but the service was friendly and the food was great. Their flavored lemonades were a hit, and my kids loved that their meals came served on frisbees. Make a point to get one of their signature cobblers - they come warm from the oven and a la mode for a tasty finish to a tasty meal!

Just got back from having a great lunch at Fire Mountain Grill in Toutle, WA. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was exquisite! Best fish n chips and Chili burger ever! The view of the Toutle was breathtaking! I suggest you go try for yourself! Its a family business and please support our locals. We also purchased t-shirts!

Pleasantly surprised!!! All the way around service, food, atmosphere, cleanliness. Our whole experience was 5 stars ⭐️.If you are looking for something fancy you will be disappointed because this is casual dining taken to a level that was not expected. Was thinking just try a salad and wound up having burgers. The servers suggestions were on point from the blue cheese burger as well as the pull pork/pepper jack burger, side salad surprised me great and house made ranch, to dessert with berry cobbler. Neither one of us expected it to taste so good and be so fresh with a “like grandma use to make” taste. simple and DELICIOUS!!!! Oh yeah can’t beat the view.

We had a pretty disappointing experience here. The food was okay - my burger was super greasy, but the fries were good - but not worth the prices. The fries were 3 dollars extra, which I didn't realize when I said yes to having them with the burger - if I'd known, I would've just skipped them.The service atmosphere was stressful. The sign at the front says "wait here and ring bell" - there is no bell. We waited to be seated and it seemed like the staff were annoyed by it. At the end, we weren't sure if we should pay at the front or at the table, and again, the response was annoyance. The bathrooms feel like a bomb shelter... but, I guess, what can you do, this close to an active volcano?I had food poisoning after our visit. I can't say for sure whether it was related, although I ate barely anything else all day before the... violent eruption from my insides, but in hindsight, I probably should've passed on the mayo that apparently sits at room temp 24/7. Lesson learned - but even if it is the last beer for 70 miles, I'm definitely not coming back.

Went to dinner after visiting Mount St. Helens for the day, food was great, sat outside and enjoyed the views overlooking the river and the staff was very friendly and attentive.Kid-friendliness: The staff was great and attentive to getting kids food out right away. Delicious! Especially after an all day hike up Mt. St. Helens. Everyone enjoyed their burgers and beer batter fries. We have the Mountain berry cobble and we all enjoyed it. And the service was great. Super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go back even without climbing the mountain.

My husband and I are always looking for hidden gem restaurants and stumbled on this place. We were their first customers for opening and the owner gave us the cobbler on the house. It was amazing! My husband ordered a blackberry margarita and because I was pregnant the first time we went, I could only listen to how good it was. We decided to come back on Saturday so I could finally try the amazing margarita and it did not disappoint. The kid valley burger has me in a choke hold with how delicious it is. Overall, service is outstanding, food is fantastic, and the view is beautiful. This gem is #1 on our list
