Great community store with an amazing meat department!!! The absolute best meats any place around, occasionally they have USDA PRIME aged beef and the pork is lean and tasty...The liquor department is phenomenal and Chris knows what he's talking about. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the prices are competitive...We do most of our shopping here. Thank you guys, you are amazing.

Gas station crew are amazing, inside they're meh not as friendly inside... Prices are outrageous and high... Sadly they're right across from my kids school which is the reason I stop for drinks, which they actually stopped stocking my youngest kids favorite drinks outside :(

Some things are a good deal. We always go there for their fresh baked in house donuts!!! Use to grab them from the gas station and found out they bake them themselves. That's awesome. Market fresh has truckload meat sales couple times a year and has a butcher waiting for you you buy meat and cut it how ever you would like. Anything from steaks to pork chops they have it all on sale then.

I was disappointed with the deli selection. The ham and cheese sandwiches were made days before, so I took a cresant one that was less old. It was okay, but the lettuce was gross. The cashier was friendly, and the lady in the deli asked if I wanted a salad. I like the workers there.

Man I’ve finally just had it with this place. It’s never been a GOOD store, but it’s been a close store, so I go there, despite the poor service, the high prices, the lack of selection, the wilting produce…But I’m over it. The checkers don’t seem to care about their jobs, they don’t know produce, they don’t know inventory. You’d think they were younger people but no, they’re all 50+ which blows my mind. When I was a checker we learned how to be good checkers. Tenino Market just hires people who breathe.The people who stock the shelves don’t care either, as I’ve purchased multiple items that were slashed by box cutters. Most recently my breakfast was ruined when I made the trip to the market for tortillas, only to get home and notice they were all dried out and hard. The culprit? A huge razor sharp cut along the back of the packaging.If you live near this place, it’s worth the hassle driving further into Tumwater. Literally any store is better. You know what kind of service you’re going to get at Wal-Mart. You’re going to get the same at Tenino Market, you’ll also pay more for it and get a worse selection of lower quality on top of it.

This is an odd Market as it has a ACE Hardware under the same roof as a grocery store. We went to the ACE to get some mortar. They carried it but it wasnt the size we were looking for. We had a long wall to do. The workers at ACE Hardware were really nice and very helpful. One worker went out of his way to show us where it was so we could see. We decided the price for 10 pounds for 5$ was a bit high when other places are 60 pounds for 10$ or 80 pounds for sixty cents less.The store layout and the products are perfect for the small towns people so they can have the things they need and close. Great thinking .

This is my hometown grocery store so I love it but the prices are alittle high but great people. Anytime I have moved away I've always come back to the same area. I just love it here.

Night Manager (7/12/23) thinks it’s okay to verbally berate employees over minor matters- not just in-front of customers but yelling throughout the entire store. Been coming here for 20 years, and never never never seen that from the staff here. Dudes got anger issues and needs sensitivity training or be let go. Not cool. Will file a formal complaint, as a customer.

I don't normally rate places like grocery stores but this one is definitely worth a mention. The staff! So nice! Everyone there is unbelievably helpful and kind and warm and welcoming. I love the small town Vibe you get when you come into this grocery store. Also with the hardware store connected to it you get to get some home repair stuff all in the same place. Lastly this place is an Amazon drop off location which is very helpful for returns!

People working here are totally fresh!!! Like fantastically cool peoples! This is the best booze and beer stop around!!! Produce is okay if it's charged correctly at the registers.. when you first enter the store, it's like stepping back in time! Like stepping into a grocery museum! How much fun is that!!! And the great beer and cider selection!!! Literally, there are wines that have been on the shelf for over 2 years, win!!! Some of the canned and dry goods have been on the shelf for over 2 years too... They even date the meat products a week out from pack date! When the industry standard is 3 days, they said "nope" we're going to do 7. And they don't have a dry aging facilities. They are okay with selling green/brown meat. I was warned by almost everyone in the South Puget Sound area, that has been here, to avoid the green/brown or ground meats. But come on, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right! And they're going strong and have been around forever with the looks of the museum-like atmosphere! Feel free to post comments about eating the brown/green meats. Just curious how people fared after the 7 day old meat challenge! That's right you've been challenged to eat a seven-day-old steak from this store and post the outcome!

I was racially profiled by a female employee, she accused me of stealing a Doughnut and coffee, my total was 5.60 and even told her”keep the 40 cents”. And never gave me a receipt. After which she aggressively approached me and decided to accuse me of steeling. Telling me to “go upstairs”. Which I then told her to check the cameras. For 4.4 star establishment I expected more and I’m thoroughly disappointed.

Store is pretty decent. They have a good selection of stuff. I will say, the prices are way over priced. For example, I can get a cheaper 12 pack of beer at the Pilot gas station, that’s usually never the case. It’s almost more worth it to drive the extra 10 or so minutes to Walmart for better deals.

This store is one of my favorite 😍. The employees here are so down to earth. They treat everyone with respect. The store itself is also always clean.Love going here to get my shopping. The Ace hardware attached makes it even more convenient if I need something for the hoise

Nice market. We went shopping here to avoid the crowds at the bigger stores.Prices are fairly reasonable. You may pay a bit more for some products but, they have an excellent bakery, meat department and they have a variety of smoked meat 🍖.Pretty awesome.

They have the BEST donuts ever. The chocolate on top doesn't dry out and get hard and tastes really good. I will go out of my way to get them. No pictures because I can't wait that long to not eat them. Try it out

Friendly staff. Has 2 or more( mostly 3 or more but at the least 2) different brands of same product to choose from. Prices are what can be expected to keeping a grocery store in such a small town. Prices comparable to a Safeway or Fred Myers. Very convenient and also has a small Ace hardware section. Store is normally clean. Great place to go if you need to get in and out right away. Busy times are very short. Normally around 5pm.

Every staff member was so helpful. The Ace Hardware has much more than meets the eye. The grocery store has items that the big stores don't have. I found an item that the other big stores don't carry anymore that I have been looking for for over a year or two. Such a delightful surprise! Check this place out, you will be glad you did. I loved the different food selections.

Hands down the best grocery store in Tenino (also the only grocery store in Tenino). They have a nice hardware dept right next door, and they even have a nice selection of Benchmade knives. The people are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and are there to help you with any need you might have. They carry a lot of different liquor, and they have a nice deli selection.

Service was great. Large city stores just don't come close to providing the service this store does. Employees are friendly and ask if I need help finding things. Cashiers greet you when you enter the checkout lane and they thank you for shopping there. So refreshing and the type of customer service all stores should provide. Thanks Tenino Market Fresh.
