The new store on 6th Ave Safeway used to be at this location. The store is usually busy, and the location can be busy too since there are other businesses in this location. Food is fresh and best priced, and customer service could use some upgrades. The store is not that big.

This store is always clean and I'm never in line long. Most grocery stores are dirty in the back, but not WinCo stores. This includes 8 that I've visited .Every part of WinCo is clean. I've watched part of their process of cleaning and it amazed me. They completely pull all food from freezers, fridges, etc and clean, clean, clean. If you want to shop in a clean friendly environment then WinCo is the place to shop. I highly recommend WinCo.Thank you for a great few experiences.

My third visit and they keep upping their game. Very good selection of produce. Fresh and well priced.There is so much to choose from that I haven’t had a chance to check everything out.They have vegan options!Digital coupons are pretty good too.I wish they had their own app. It’s been a big savings shopping there.

Be careful buying this "redbrick" coffee, it was a good price but a rock in with the coffee beans wrecked an expensive coffee machine of mine, trying to get winco to take any kind of responsibility was like pulling hairs and ultimately they put the blame on their vender but never gave any contact info. Buying this coffee ended up costing me a good amount of money and dealing with winco cost me a lot of time and frustration. The store itself is ok as far as a grocery store but I strongly dont recommend redbrick coffee from the gravity bins.

Very affordable prices and a great selection. Lots of self checkout stations. Amazing bulk selection. Great produce selection. Try to visit during off peak hours for a very stress free visit.

When they first opened prices on everything were great! They have since raised many prices, but many items are still a good deal here. Because of the overall good prices, can't complain too much, but some downsides here are: they don't accept credit cards; no carts inside the store entrance, you must take one from outside and they all seem to have broken wheels; they don't sell whole bean coffee, only pre-ground; limited selection of non-dairy milks.

I love winco. It is always a 5 star store, especially with the cost of groceries. Comparing receipts with Safeway, I consistently save $40. Sure, the produce and meat can be iffy but never bad or gross, just low quality or poorly trimmed steak, but it's also $1-5/lb less and that's much more important to me!Thank you for existing, Winco! You keep my grocery bill low and my fridge full

I had an wonderful experience going through the store for my home replenish shopping. I was quickly able to find everything I needed and was able to quickly get through check out. Though is seemed busy, it was nice not waiting for long check out lines. A quick shopping trip for the Win!!! Plus good deals when you are on a budget!

Love that they are open till one am cause I work late and usually don't have time to shop during the day. Most of the employees are very nice . But there is one girl who always seems annoyed by people coming in close to 1 am .

It's nice having a regular market again after the Safeway closed .. the only issue I have is that the aisles are really hella Narrow, and if you happen to go while their doing inventory good luck getting your cart down aisles..

The produce selection is never great however they have everything else! It's a big store with low prices. Just a heads up, you bag your own groceries. Bring a family member to help you on big trips. Many people get stressed trying to quickly bag there things alone.

Parking can be a little cramped when it gets even somewhat busy. The location itself is great, next to dollar general, to diversify your shopping needs. The store is always clean and the staff is always polite. This location is not as big as other WinCo stores, but the selection and prices are just as good. One of my favorite stores to shop at.

They don't sell the healthy brands I like, which is unfortunate because this is the closest grocer to my house. Also, there are always homeless people bumming for money at the entrance. They have paid security in the parking lot...not sure why they don't address the issue.

Would like to let ppl know that the employees have on several occasions put there personal food items up front in the freezer. I have seen steaks not bagged up a long with other items. The juice from the meat can run into the ice bags contaminating the ice and make someone very ill. Also an employee seen me looking in there because there was a bag of frozen food in there and she said those are go-backs meaning the frozen items were sitting in there until one of their lazy employees took it n put them back where they belong. I have seen so much food in the ice freezers for many months. I hope ppl stop buying their ice. If the health department sees any of this they definitely will be fined.

I enjoy shopping at this WinCo Foods store on 6th Ave., Tacoma, WA. It pretty much has everything I need and prices are decent compared to Walmart Super Centers. I especially enjoy the Bulk items for spices, rice, noodles and candy. Thank you WinCo Foods store!

So happy there's a Winco closer to home. This place is great. Much more affordable then all other stores around here and it's still good quality. Will definitely be going there to get my groceries from now on.

6th ave - Self checkout completely open, something like 12 register. Only one Full service Cashier and line is 4 deep so I go to self checkout. After completing purchase (no assistance required), cashier comes up and says with irritation, “these registers are for 15 items or less.” I look around, all self-check out registers are completely open. I look for sign for item limit and finally see it dangling high in the dark ceiling (my bad for looking at what’s in front of me and not what’s high above). I’m still the only one at self checkout. Customer service and logic not required for a job here. Also, note to self if there is a next time, only ring up 15 items at a time, then start new order.

Lol what is the point of calling ahead if you guys don’t drop the order until I arrive? I called at 6:17 and the lady said the order would be ready at 7:00pm but then, when I arrive at 7:00 there’s no one in line and they said oops we forgot to put down your order they will be ready in 15 minutes.I would understand if they were super busy or slammed or understaffed, but none of these were any factors in this Oopsie, as they stated. Honestly, the savings are marginal compared to how inconvenient it is to shop here.Looks like I might as well just go back to shopping at Fred Meyer’s

I cannot stand this store and location. They had the benefit to building a brand new building. And somehow someone got paid to design the building the way it is. The Carts are located outside. If they did not bring carts In you have to walk around and go grab one from the other side.There is zero space in the entire store. The aisles are way too close. With technology half the workers are stocking shelves or doing some form of food service app work.There are zero cashiers. Not a single one. When you scan your items your robot teller will scream at you to put it in the bagging area. If you put it in the bagging area it still calls a cashier over to hit a button. If your lucky the "cashier" will be paying attention and come help you swiftly.The prices here are not much different than anywhere else. Which confuses me more when they don't have to pay Cashiers. You would assume the savings would be given to us bit it's not.They have a coffee, candy, and grain section where you can buy by weight.

As out-of-staters passing through and needing supplies, we found this to be the oddest of grocery stores. Kind of a cross between a down -market Walmart and a Sam's club. The restrooms were old and very dirty.

Great prices, usually short lines. Their produce section offers a wide variety of fruits and veggies. The bulk section is outstanding, as is the whole bean coffee aisle. Lots of parking. Great place to shop.

I like basically everything about it except for in the deli. They close early about 7:00 p.m. makes it hard to get a dinner if you don't get off work in time
