I have been looking for a cat groomer for a very long time. I am so happy we found Stephanie. My long hair cat is having a hard time grooming himself and does not let me brush him on his belly. He’s usually scared everytime we leave the house. I was a bit nervous and worried he would not let her groom him, but she said he was the sweetest boy and loved the trimmer. Will be recommending to everyone and calling her soon for my other cat. Usually whenever I have to take him anywhere he comes home scared and runs and hides. Not this time. This guy is prancing around showing off his new hair cut and being super cuddly. Thank you Stephanie for treating my baby with so much love.

Cat groomers aren’t easy to find and if you do find one they aren’t always as prepared for cats as you would like. Tacoma Dog and Cat Grooming was amazing to work with and they were beyond prepared and surprised me with how accommodating they were. As a first time customer and new to the state I was in need of a groomer before the weekend and they squeezed us in right before the holiday and on short notice. They were able to work around my schedule and were very informative of the process! They always use two people for cat appointments and that just means so much as cats aren’t easy to groom or do anything especially by yourself and if you can imagine the things you’d need to do to get the job done you would agree that two people are needed 100% of the time. I was nervous as my cat is very sensitive to any kind of noise and would love to go hide in a corner. They said he did just fine and they assured me they have a completely separate area for cats and dogs so they never see each other. My cat looks so good and the cut is very even and clean. He is such a happy boy jumping around like he is a kitten again and giving extra snuggles. I will recommend them to anyone as they made the process so easy and zero stress!

Stephanie was amazing, she was very friendly and approachable! I reached out to her and she was quick to reply, she explained everything to me thoroughly and got me an appointment right away. My cats look amazing and smelled clean like a daisy haha. They came home and didn’t seemed stress and upset, I assume they had an amazing time. The entire process only took 2 hours I dropped them off at 10:30 and picked them up at 12:30. During the process, Stephanie kept me updated and share pictures of the process as well, she shared that my cats were doing so well and it made me felt comfortable that they enjoyed it. Her price is a bit higher comparing to other salons, but she prepares a separate day for cats only in order to keep stress low and I think that accommodates for the pricing, but overall I absolutely enjoyed the service.Here are some pictures she shared with me and the cats after they came home.

I contacted Stefanie about helping my senior cat with some matting he is developing. Due to his situation, Stefanie said she wouldn't be able to help, but she did go out of the way to put me in touch with a vet who can. I can't emphasize enough how impressed I was with her concern for my cat's health and how selfless she was by helping me find the correct specialist to treat my cat. Stefanie is absolutely someone I would trust with my pet and the kind of person the pet care industry needs. Thanks again!!

Had our cat groomed here yesterday and had a wonderful experience! Our cat is older and has extremely thick and fluffy hair. He had developed some mats, so he feels so much better after his cut! We let them know he has some skin tags on his back/shoulder, and they took care not to cut them with the clippers. His previous groomer had accidentally nicked them in the past, so I’m thankfully that did not happen here! They used some waterless shampoo so he smells wonderful and clean. He came home feeling like a million bucks, strutting his stuff around the house. Will definitely bring him back here for grooms in the future!

Steffy was amazing! I contacted her on Saturday evening and was able to schedule an afternoon appointment the next day. My cats are skittish rescues, so I haven’t been able to trim their claws. It is a big relief to have that done and whatever their coats were washed with smells amazing (and made their coats so soft)! I’m so glad I found her business! I can now cuddle with my cats without accidental scratches :)

I would like to take a few minutes to share my amazing experience with Stephanie at Tacoma Dog and Cat Grooming today. I had appointments this morning at another groomer down the street, and after waiting 45 minutes, that shop owner/groomer never showed. I happened to give Tacoma Dog and Cat Grooming a call, just to see if there was any chance they might be able to groom my dog, and trim my other dog's nails. I knew it was probably a long shot with it being a Saturday and so last minute. Well, Stephanie answered and after I explained my situation, she said "come on down, I got you!" Needless to say, I was thrilled! She trimmed my two dog's nails and after a very quick conversation on how I wanted my third dog groomed, I left her with Stephanie. She had her bathed and fully groomed in an hour and a half, my dog looks beautiful and is groomed exactly how I had asked!When I went to pick her up, I had the pleasure to chat with Stephanie and get to know her a little bit. What stands out to me the most is her love and compassion that she has for animals. I could tell just in the few stories she shared that she genuinely has her client's pets best interest at heart. She let me know she noticed some grinding in my dog's shoulder, which is possibly arthritis (she's a senior dog) so that I could mention it to my vet when I take her in for her wellness check this week. It's this kind of care and attention that makes Stephanie stand out from other groomers. Her years of experience definitely shine thru. I'm honestly happy the other groomer stood me up, because I was able to find Stephanie instead! I most definitely will be back. I cannot thank her enough for what she did for me and my dogs today and I greatly appreciated her willingness to give up her time today to help me out. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!

I called Stephanie and she was able to get my new little rescue in the same week. This is my first time having a dog that needs haircuts and after a not-so-good job somewhere else, my dog and I are so happy we found her! She did exactly what I asked for and it was done perfectly! I LOVE THIS PLACE! They did so amazing on my little princess! I am so very great full of the staff and squeezing her in for an appointment the same day I called. The staff was beyond friendly and comforting and made you feel just like family in the best way possible. The groom itself it's absolutely perfect and there is not one thing I would change at all and is the first time I've said that about any grooming that she has gotten. I cannot thank you all enough for such an amazing job and the shampoo they used smells amazing. I would rate 10 all the way!!!! Definitely returning to these guys! Stephanie and her husband did an amazing job handling my 2 cats. She let me know what my cats liked during the grooming process, what they didn’t like, and how they cared for them through the whole process. When picking my cats up after the appointment, my cats were so calm and relaxed and that spoke volumes compared to other grooming salons I’ve been to where my cats came home stressed and anxious. Will definitely be coming back again!

We used her for our cat because of her good reviews…but beware. The first two times were great. She told us specifically Sunday because she doesn’t take dogs on Sunday… to not stress out the cats. The time before last time she canceled on us.. then we he got in finally and I told her directly -no lion cut. She told me I had to pick up my cat in two hours because she had dogs coming in on a Sunday. I picked him up and he clearly had a lion cut. I let it go. The last time I dropped him off. I directly told her do not cut his hair. She asked about cutting his paws and I directly told her do not cut his paws. Also, she had a dog on the table when I dropped him off. I questioned her about it and she told me “that’s not a dog”. I responded saying “well that’s an awfully big cat”. And she said “uh-huh”. It was a brown little, fluffy Pomeranian or some thing and the guy that was there was holding the mouth of the dog so it wouldn’t bark. I was not understanding at the moment, what I was seeing and hearing as she was lying to my face. After telling her directly, do not cut his hair, and even more directly do not cut his paws. I dropped him off. I came back at noon to pick him up. And a guy in a truck was stopping at the same time -she made him go in the back to pick up his dog so I didn’t see his dog. Also, she immediately rushed my cat to the car. He had an extremely severe cut on his paw.. He was either bitten by a dog or she cut his paw with clippers. I can tell she cut his paws because some were cut and some weren’t. She also cut the hair on his face. The cut was extremely uneven everywhere so it was very obvious. My cat did not make a sound on the way home. Obviously very stressed out. On top of that she gave him some kind of treat to calm him down because he was extremely sick for two weeks with vomit and diarrhea. My cat almost died because of whatever she gave him and she lied to my face again when I texted her and said she does not give them anything so they wouldn’t poop on the table.. I took him to the vet. I know she gave him something. The vet told me. My cat was so sick for two weeks. This woman is a compulsive liar. I don’t know what changed but she is not someone to trust with animals.

We take our four cats here for baths, nails and grooming. We have always been very happy with Steffy and her work. The cats are handled with care and confidence and our long hair, skittish stinky boy is always a handsome guy when he's done. Steffy gives great recommendations to ensure health and care for our cats, I feel she truly has an interest in their welfare and isn't just 'selling'us services or products. I love Stephanie! She is so friendly not only to use as pet parents but especially towards the pets. I took my Ragdoll here, he was matted under his arms and near his rear. She told me straight up that a 'lion cut' would be necessary to remove the matting. She was very honest about my pets behavior and how I can work on preventing future matting. AMAZING PRICE for what they provide, basically GO HERE!!!!100/10 would recommend to a pet owner looking for a new groomer.Coming back to edit my comment I went back 7 months later to Stephy and she is so good at what she does! Her and her family are very professional and kind with your fur baby! I love the way she cuts my Ragdoll, she’s been such a big help on what kind of brush to use, how to make sure MATTING DOES NOT KEEP HAPPENING, and so much more!She’s a kind woman I would and DO recommend friend, family, and strangers! She’s worth every penny!!

My cat sheds like crazy! She’s a short haired cat I wouldn’t have expected it to be as bad as it was so decided it was best to get her shaved. Steph was kind enough to let me bring her in the same day due to a cancellation which worked out perfectly! My cat has never been to a groomers before so I really didn’t know what to expect. My cat is very shy with other people but she’s not one to attack I’ve never actually heard her hiss before. I was surprised yet proud when Steph had said she had done great with her. She looks so cute definitely coming back here. Thank you so much Steph!

This place is fantastic! When I first brought my cat here to be groomed I was struggling to find a groomer that was just as accepting of cats as they were of dogs. My cat has really fine, long hair that is always getting tangled and they know exactly when she needs some de-shedding or shaving that makes her fur look so much healthier. I recently took her in and they were able to get another cat's worth of fur out of her coat! Every time I take her in, the owners are so accommodating and thoughtful and take such good care of her. I would recommend this place for anyone who needs their cat groomed and I will always trust them with mine.

We got a lion cut for our cat who had some matting and Stephanie did such an amazing job! She's very friendly and you can tell she loves what she does. They also keep their cat and dog clients completely separated so you don't have to worry about stressing your fur babies out. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Steffy is the absolute best! We were looking for a new groomer for our Lhasa apso Daisy when we moved to the Tacoma area last spring, and we've been beyond satisfied with her work! Even better than the place we were taking her before we moved:) She asks a lot of questions to make sure she fully understands what you want, but will let you know too if what you're asking for isn't going to look right. She loves on her and gives her all the love and attention that I believe she would give her own pups, and I trust her skill and judgment with our girl 100%. She's professional yet personable and just the all around best! Fair prices too! The only place I'll take our girl for her grooming needs from here on out. Thanks so much Steff... we love ya!!

I've been taking Bella to PetSmart for years and finally decided to try out a private own business, I'm sure glad I took Bella here definitely the money's worth. Steffy always does such a wonderful job with my giant floof. I have a great Pyrenees who is prone to butt mats. Steffy almost always is able to brush them out, and always calls if she needs to do any cutting. I so appreciate her breed knowledge and communication. STOP!!! If you are looking for a dog/cat groomer search no more! We love Steffy and couldn't have lucked out more. I was impressed from the jump when she called me back urgently to tell me not to take my 10 week Shih Tzu to any groomer because of the fact that she's not finished with her immunizations. She could have just taken my money but my puppy's well-being was more important. She made accommodations for Wicket to come in on a Sunday morning so things were sterilized and no threat of parvovirus. She's so knowledgeable and honest. Wicket adores her and we now consider Steffy and Lavell family.

Stephanie is amazing, I used her website to have a consultation and she got back to me promptly. She was able to get me in within a week. My babies were shedding so much, especially my magpie. They looked so cute and smelt great after their appointment. I received the de-shedding and grooming services for both cats. I like that she meets you outside. I was surprised but relieved to hear they did well during their appointment since my magpie can get a little attitude sometimes. 😅 Definitely recommend!

THIS IS THE PLACE to bring your cats!!! They are so quick and Ivan’s lion cut is absolutely beautiful. He is currently sauntering around the house feeling VERY VERY handsome 😂 he keeps jumping up to get pets, snuggled and show off his cut. You know if your cat comes back from The groomers feelin himself on this level they did the best work!!! Worth the drive, worth the money to get the best service and care. To say we are Very very pleased is an understatement.

We took our long haired Tuxedo kitty in today to have her first ever Lion cut. She was so nice and was so loving towards us and our cat. I would 100% recommend her.
