I have been going to Taryn at North Tacoma Petco for about two years. I have five nervous/feisty poms and she handles each one with love, care, and patience. How she treats them and makes me feel as an owner is more important than how they’re groomed but Taryn is a 10/10 groomer. The pups come out looking so fresh, every time! Taryn is the ultimate professional and I would be lost without her, as a dog owner!

Super Great, my Husky is soo happy. Focused on her Nails like i asked, and Husky going in to Spring is a nightmare for me at home blowing half her Coat in my Living Room.. She looks Beautiful, and barely shedding at all now. Thanks! A++

I had my labradoodle groomed by Carrie M. last week. She took her time and was very patient, as Jack is a "wiggly" dog and not fond of grooming. She did a wonderful job and was very complimentary of Jack, Thank you, Carrie!-Jo W

Mattie was great and the other ladies are also wonderful too. So bright and cheerful when I brought Geatta in for his spa day he was so excited. He gets all of their attention and love. He allows her to even brush his teeth now. I love how she's able to handle him and he trust only her after the incident with the PetSmart employee at the 3326 S 23rd St Tacoma, Wa location back in 2019. So for him to give her that much trust for the entire bath. Because of my disabilities I've had to hand the bathing over to Maddie since he's trust her now and it's been going really well.I appreciate everything she does with him, she's gentle and caring . She takes her time with him even when he gets excited.

I was able to call and talk to someone on the grooming department and did not have to leave a message. They were able to schedule me out a few days from when I called. My dog had mats and they did a great job grooming her!

The groomer was great, booking was easy and convenient. The 30% hike in your prices with no increase in value was a shock.

I think they do great job. And quick, best interest of dog. My staff experience not very good, my dog is a Maltese and takes awhile and I had a staff tell me to find a place more private . Basically didn’t want to take time with my dog. I’ve been going there for years . Really disappointed me. Have not been back

Just had my boy Rosco in for some grooming. At the suggestion of the young man checking me in I went with the essentials package. It was only $12 more than what I had booked in the app. I appreciate him pointing it out to me and what all it included. As always the team took excellent care of Rosco.

I made an appointment and during the process of making an appointment they asked if my dog had any medical stuff and I said yes and I stated what her diagnosis is and which medication she takes like they ask. I drove about 20 minutes to go there to get my dog groomed only for them to refuse based on her diagnosis. They wasted 60 minutes total of my time, driving there and back plus I'm waiting and speaking with the manager all because they couldn't bother to read appointment booking questions that they asked me. Had they told me that they don't see dogs with epilepsy that is fully controlled by their medication I wouldn't have took my dog there. The only reason I was taking her there is because a car crashed through the building of her usual groomer and I have to wait for them to rebuild.

After 6 years they actually suggest that I take my beagle somewhere else. He's only 23 lbs, cries a lot but is very friendly. He would get nervous going but I didn't think anything of it. Another time I brought my bigger dog and she came back with her tail hurting. I'm happy to not return and we go to Bubbles and Bows now. Much better staff and grooming.

Have a appointment set for 10:30, get there there system is down and tell me to resched. No bother of calling appointments and letting them know not to waste my time coming in and the lady had the audacity to tell me oh well when i said this was the only time thta worked for me. Disgusting.

I'll give 3 stars and here's why: I've taken my 14 year old dachshund there several times. The last time on Dec 22nd 2019. There was an advertised special for $23, which was for a bath, dry and nail trim. When I brought her in for her appointment, I told the young woman at the counter, several times, I only wanted the "special". She then told me that three "spa services were INCLUDED in the special". I told her I didn't want any other services but she said maybe she's not explaining it correctly but to pick three things from the "spa "services. During this time several things happened at the same time: three more dogs arrived, the printer stopped printing to give me my receipt, two other employees came in so the room was very crowded and hectic. Meanwhile the clerk kept saying to pick three included spa services so I quickly chose three services. When she finally printed out my receipt I went out into the store to also purchase a name tag so didn't pay close enough attention to the amount I was paying which was my fault. While she was being groomed I also went shopping next door. When she was ready I took her home. I went home and checked my bank total and was surprised that I was charged $68, $2.00 of which was for the name tag. I really feel mislead and taken advantage of. Bella did look great so I was happy with what they did however, when talking about spa services beware!! You will always pay extra and the way it's presented is false and misleading.

The groomer, Kelly, is awesome. She accidentally cut my dogs hair too short in one spot. She adjusted our total and apologized. We were a little disappointed but, because we've never had a problem with her work before, we still left a tip. And we will be back in two weeks.

Was a busy day in Grooming. The staff was polite and reviewed the services for my dog. Sophie doesn't like to have a bath, or the other stuff. The groomer took a few extra minutes to talked to Sophie. Sophie was beautiful, and smelled great. Kudos Petco !!

Ashley spent a lot of time with our reluctant dog. She was very patient and kind. Another groomer had been unable to finish the job, but Ashley did finish, and our pup looks great!

My dog Ryder gets groomed by Maddy and he loves her when I tell him he is going to get a hair cut at his store and see Maddy he goes nuts until we get there. The grooming team at 6th ave store in Tacoma are always so good to us.

They raised their nail buffing prices by $5 and they now charge a materials fee, but the services are still mediocre. I felt like my dogs were not taken care of and I’ll go to a local independent groomer from now on.

I knew that both dogs would have issues, especially my big guy. I will start bringing him by weekly just to have him getting use to having his paws held so that he can get his nails done
