I went here a couple days ago and stood in line in the customer service line for 35 minutes only to be told I had to go to a register first because I had a voucher. I am disabled and this was very hard on my body but I did as I was told. The cashier who wrung me up was rude to me when she found out I had a voucher, and didn't give me a bag of the stuff I did buy and didn't give the person who took my voucher back over to the customer service area the receipt she was supposed to. So I had to go back from the customer service place to the register for my bag and then back to the customer service place only to find out they could have wrung me up there in the beginning but chose not to. Only one person was even authorized to do the voucher so it took a long time because there was someone in front of me for that. They just chose not to do the thing. It took over 45 minutes to do all of this. My body was hurting so bad after that I couldn't do the things I needed to at home when I left.Then I went back today because some of the hair care products I'd gotten did not work for me, they said they couldn't do an exchange which I was trying to do, not asking for any cash back, because I'd used a voucher.However, the store policy is that I could have just done a return without a receipt because my items were under the amount specified and even if they had just put it on a gift card I would have used that to get the products I was trying to exchange for but again they chose not to provide any real customer service and denied it flat out. I used to work customer service and would have done what I could to help someone. It's truly embarrassing being sick and poor, people treat us like criminals despite doing everything we can to do the better things or just trying to survive. I will not be going back to this location after being embarrassed by the one cashier, and not having anyone try to do anything to help my situation which wouldn't have cost the store anything and there's policies in place for this kind of thing. Truly disappointed by the experiences I've had over the last two days, I came home both times in tears and frustrated. I don't understand what is going on anymore with customer service, it's like we're a burden at his point.

Had a great experience I was getting soda pop and dropped 30 bucks went to pay and found out that I had dropped my money so as I'm looking around 10 or 15 minutes go by from when I dropped the money , there it was in the soda and chip area next to were I grabbed my soda I wanted. Just had to say your store is great place to shop thank you. Fredmyers on 72nd your great keep up the good work as busy as it was at 6 o'clock in the evening there's no way I'd be that lucky to of find my 30 dollars just laying there. What an awesome experience .....

I always find what u am looking for at Fred Meyers. The store has such a wide variety of just about anything I need. The staff is always courteous and very helpful. I will always shop Freddie's over any other department stores.

Their customer service needs a huge upgrade. First, I waited in line to return something for 30 MINUTES! There was a big line and no other staff was called. The lady at the counter was taking her sweet time to talk to the customers without continuing doing her work. She would literally pause what she was doing and have a full on conversation.Also, I ordered a pick up online and they told me they had no raspberries. So I went in the store and there are PLENTY of raspberries. Why do you have to lie? What’s the point of doing pickup if I still have to go in?

Security has gotten out of hand. Just witnessed a guy check out, paid for his items, and was accosted for not having his receipt in hand. Which he threw away at the trash can provided under the self check out. Armed Security officer (Doucette Sr.) blocked the door and told the man to go dig it out of the trash. The guy was clearly not homeless, not stealing, he paid for his items. The clerked printed him a new receipt.Other shoppers were very distressed by this unnecessary experience. Another shopper stepped in and told the security officer he was wrong. I would not be surprised if they receive multiple complaints.To be a young man of color and to have an armed Caucasian man preventing you from leaving, is a fear some may never understand.This situation was very out of hand Fred Meyer.

Worst customer service ever. Not only are they not personable what so ever but also they caused one of my friends to lose her opportunity at an RN job. Thank you guys for being the worst Fred Meyer in the whole nation. So glad that a whole minute was to long for yall to wait to help us out. 👍

It is our family favorite store as it ever been. Good experience, bad experience, awesome experience, you named it. There are couple of times where staff members may need to cut down their conversation and keep their personal information to themselves. Busy, long line, people are waiting and most likely don't have time to listen. Some people, just go in, grab it, pay and get out. Seriously, there were times, I really wanted to walk away.

This poor store is constantly being baraged by the homeless try to steal anything not bolted down. Its gotten so bad that they have gaurds posted at all doors, checking receipts and cable locks on every piece of clothing.I just don't understand why stores haven't figured out that they can use the enty way to detain thiefs. The enty way already exists on most stores and we already have anti theft tags. Just need to link door locks that lock the exit until a receipt is produced. I'm so tired of the hoops I have to jump through because of this issue. I pay more for the products I buy, and I can't pick anything off the shelf without getting it unlocked first.

The cashier Tammi spent almost 5 minutes talking to a customer. And after she scanned all my things, I had already swiped my card. She kept telling me to swipe my card when it kept telling me to continue to check out even. I even tried swiping twice and still didn't work. She made me feel stupid. Whole time, she had to press something on her screen. Get it together.

I was standing in line at the customer service counter, there was only one representative helping with the long line. One customer who was not in line demand the rep attention, she was trying to help everyone.She was so polite although people in the line was not and still the other customer who was not in line was demanding her attention. I normally do not do these surveys, but i need to say something.I can't remember her last name but her first name is Erin and she was a supervisior releaving some one for lunch.I eant to give her kudos for her custmer service skills. I will be shoping there more often now.

Great store, fair to decent selection. Good deals on most of the time but not always. Good Liquor section. Polite friendly staff. Good organic section. No whole wheat angel hair pasta. Only two non-express checkouts. Expect 20-30 minute checkout lines regularly.

Everytime I come here I have 7 new reasons not to shop here ever again. I do believe this will be my last time inside any Fred Meyer ever again.P.S.... businesses that use police for receipt checking, are renting the power of the badge and should not be in business. Those cops should not be in police uniform if they are working as security for Fred Meyer.. That's not what police are for...

Having a security presence is helping the whole store clean itself up.--------Original review:Kroger needs to pay their staff more with better benefits. No wonder they're having staffing issues.

They're okay for groceries, but not a QFC. I do like that it is a one-stop for many things. Such as needing something for home or kitchen and garden. I only gave 4-stars as this particular store does have quality problems. As well as no one on the floor to help when needed.

The produce is always nice, have seen rats running around and during the summer months fruit flies are common in the bakery section. Some cashiers are lovely, others leave A LOT to be desired

Fred Meyers is my go-to shopping place. The people that work there are wonderful and helpful. They've been changing the store around a little bit, but it's still pretty easy to find things. And if you can't, ask the next person you see, and they'll be able to tell you. It is a happy store, with happy employees, they are happy, therefore, we are happy 👍💝

Come here about once a month to pay rent and while the staff are always kind and courteous (which is why this isn't 1 star), the availability of the customer service center has been a real issue for quite a while now. Never consistent hours. Yesterday they closed before 5:30, which is 4 hours early if their website was correct. I understand not having the people to cover, but some transparency or even a schedule change would go a long way. Personally, if I knew they were closed BEFORE making the trip, I would just go to University Place without stopping at Pac Ave first.
