Nice selection! Almost all the labels are in Korean, so if you don't know the Hangul characters (the Google Translate app is pretty great), your best bet would be Amazon or something. They have kimchi by the gallon!

It's my first time coming to this market. It's a nice little market. Good variety of stuff from snacks to vegetables to meat. Overall, there's a lot of different markets in the area, but the others I've been too also have good varieties. Definitely, would come back to this market.

I really like the atmosphere of the place, they have a wide variety of items for a relatively small store for pretty good prices. The lady at checkout was so incredibly nice, she even taught me a little known technique about making bubble tea. I had a really good time at this store and will be coming again.

Every person who works at this store behaves like customers are nuisance, always impolite, rude, starting from top management, male employees, female employees, EVERYONE! When I was at their store last weekend, the shelf was out of the item I was at the store for, walked to the other side of the store to find the store employee. When I found him and explained the item I was looking for, he gave me a mean look, yanked the ad off my hand, didn't acknowledge what he was going to do, just started walked off towards the shelf, and handed me the product with such a rude manner. I also don't like the fact that their packages of meat are always excessively too large. I live by myself and don't need to make 3-4 pounds of bulgogi. And if I asked for them to re-package a smaller size portion of meat, they tell me that they don't do that. Therefore, I am rating your store with 1 star and won't be going back. Boo Han, you guys are no longer the only Korean store in Tacoma.

My mom's from Japan and we've been shopping at Boo Han since the early 2000's. I still shop here often but my mom usually stays home.I like the instant curry, kimchi, and different rice crackers. The store carries a lot of great food in the frozen section - my favorite is the edame.The people who work here are nice. I really enjoy shopping at Boo Han Market!

Love it!!! I don't know much about the food or culture but any questions you have are very welcomed. Which is great seeing how I want to learn. The people take time to explain and even suggest new items to try. The prices are awesome on produce and some of the freshest I have found. They have more then just a grocery shop inside they also have a bakery, video store, food court, household goods, clothing shope, beauty supplies and a eastern pharmacy. If you are looking to branch out in cooking skill this is the place to go, you won't be disappointed. Lots of healthy yummy foods to discover await you inside.

After living in Korea for two years I fell in love with the food. I didn't think I would find much when I got back I the states, but Boo Han Market has an excellent selection of products from Korea. I love this place! My family and I shop here all the time now.

I went to the market on 05/01/2022 at 5:55 pm, when I checked out at the cashier, the men at there is so mean. So when he asked about the bag, my friend said no, and after that, he likes through the bag into our face. I don't know what happens with him. We don't talk with him anything or do anything weird but he talked with before the customer was really fun, but he didn't said hello or anything with us and just through a bag with us.

It's grimey slightly, has a scent not particularly advertising good food but a good representation of a locally owned and operated store giving a healthy competition to larger stores. In this simulation of that it's a smaller more specialized market so they remained relevant enough to survive but nowhere near Paldo world and Paldo world running 2nd to the chain H-mart (which is the boss for prices and selection). I am here only due to my wife's nostalgia and her mother's loyalty to the less appealing highest priced and least visited of the 3 stores in which I just had mentioned prior. I wouldn't say font come here to upset My loyal to overpaying significant other, but I would say there's options for those less inclined to pay more bother same exact product within blocks on the same exact street....just my preference. Not bad not good it's just here as an option for you ...to get in and out faster......cuz everyone else is paying less 10 blocks away or less...lol

My old faithful go to Korean market since 2002! It might not be cool like Hmart or have a food court like Paldo World. I like the store because I know where everything is and veggies are super fresh. I still go other markets for stuff or brand Boo Han doesn't carry. Oh, people are super friendly and been there for long time which tells me good management!

The lady there is pretty nice but there is a short man and he needs to be fired or something. He doesn’t know how to treat customers, he scanned something wrong so we told him and he has some kind of anger issues or something he wouldn’t fix it. And then we were gonna pay the ¢.60 with coins and he wouldn’t let us without even explaining why and were like okay then and took out a card to use and he was asking why we weren’t hurrying up. We felt such disrespect we just snatched the receipt out of his hand and he was like “what?” he has anger issues, no respect, and doesn’t know how to treat other customers, he needs to be fired. And also, we bought some pumpkin yagua and it was moldy so we called to tell them and they weren’t even apologetic about it.

Boo Han is Tacoma's first big Korean food market. It has weathered the bigger Paldo World and later Hmart. Yet Boo Han is still here. It remains quintisinually a korean mart while the bigger stores are closer to supermarkets like Safeway. The original family still own and personally run the store. I personally like their small meals and condiments sold in the back of the store. Come early or you will likely find those items sold out 😦.

I was just there and it was my first time shopping. The guy who works there, he said he was half-hawaiian and half-caucasian, told me I looked pretty and asked if I wanted a side boyfriend, and proceeded to ask for my number and to take a snapshot of my breasts. I took off fast.

Boo Han Market center Has been one of the main shopping centers Stores in the community for several years. They always have a great selection very good prices and never disappoint with their great customer service.

I love the fresh Asian style veggies: mushrooms ,Napa cabbage, boc choy, ginger, sugar snap peas, mochee Curry package half price compared to grocery store.. If your on S Tacoma Way, check it out.

Decent pricing for kimchee cheaper than the other stores. Produce not the best. In any Asian markets check expiration dates!

This is the original Korean market! If you have a friend that lives (or lived) in Lakewood they have been here. It's still feels very much like home and the people are really nice. I love this place

Don't call looking to talk to someone in English if you're looking for Asian ingredients and need to find out if they carry it. I realize this is an Asian market but does not mean the people that answer the phone should not be able to speak speak English, the primary language of this country.
