Paying at self check the grapes did not ring up sale price so I asked the girl at self check for help she said to go to customer service I said why u can’t help me she said no I was like what why do I have to go wait in another line to get help then the cashier next to her gets in and says u can only get 1 pound of grapes for the sale price I said it doesn’t say that here. Asked for the manager she said that was the manager the cashier girl is not a manager the both girls stood there laughing as I’m waiting for a real manager a young guy with hickeys came up to me saying he’s the manager Elias. i said these girls r saying it’s not their job to help me laughing and the cashier girl alma keeps getting in it instead of taking care of her line of customers says ya u go do that like she’s goin to fight I told the manager u let them talk to customers that way all rude why are they here if it’s not to help the customers he stayed quiet nothing to say. Young kids with no respect trying to run a retail store don’t know how to work customer service.i said who’s ur store manager I’ll talk to her. I called the for u # and they said I can get as many pounds of grapes for the sale price that the cashiers gave me wrong information.its 1 download which means u can only use it 1 time get 4 pounds of grapes if u want. These employees don’t know there own deals and treat customers wrong please go get the training u need then work the sales floor when ur fully trained to take care of customers the right way.

Have been shopping at this Safeway for the last 5 years, since we moved to Sunnyside, and it is very convenient having this Safeway in the middle of town. Having a Starbucks in this Safeway is an even better amenity! Thank you to all the Safeway employees that make this Safeway operate smoothly as it has. Keep up the good work.

You can't take 1 item off once they ring it in. You have to rering everything. During bad weather. We had to end up canceling the whole order, and i left and went to a different store. Won't bother going here anymore.Upated:I was at the checkstand with the employee, not self-check. My total was twice what it was once she re-scanned everything. She was rushed as the only checker and everyone stocking up before the storm.

I work as a reset Merchandiser at 4 different Safeway stores. We remove discontinued items and add new items along with resetting the shelves. I have seen so many products and brands while working. I didn't realize how many products and different brands there really are available at Safeway. I took pictures of one of my resets.

I lost a bracelet and never found it when I go to Safeway in Sunnyside and I have a friend that works in the deli area and the managers are mean to her and she my leave that job cuz how bad the employees treat her and the customers and it's not a good thing for business or the reviews

I have been to all the Safeways around me that includes Yakima, toppenish, and sunnyside. This Safeway has more variety of stuff and by far they have the best customer service. They help you with a smile and make you feel like you’re not a bother (Like one specific store in Yakima). The baking department though has a lot more variety of cakes and so much prettier than the other stores.

Seems like you have to shop during the day when multiple manager's are working in order to get decent service. The young men working in the evening are rude and don't even greet or thank you. It's almost like they don't want to be there. Grandview's cashiers are far more friendly.

My favorite store. Always friendly, always have what I need, tho lately they have had fewer selection of certain items. I wish the store was bigger and had gas pumps! *edit: Their produce is very good too, although they still sometimes lack in stock on a Saturday afternoon/evening which is understandable

The main reason for my 2 star review is due to the un-courtesy customer service from the DELI department. Not once- many times have the gals there have been super rude and wont acknowledge the customers that are there to get lunch/dinner. They make the customer feel as a burden to them. One of the gals just comes to the counter and stares like what do you want attitude. They had good attitude people before, unfortunately the bad attitude ones won. I hardly go anymore for lunch.

I like this Safeway because people are generally kind and decent humans here. I got a free covid booster and credit for a discount on my next grocery order.However, until recently, I was often forced to avoid this location when I was in a rush, due to not enough staff.They have renovated recently and added self-service checkout, which will hopefully help.

There isn't any listing what time the deli is closed on Sunday. I wanted to get a pasta salad for my dinner and went to the deli 6pm. The girl was putting things away while I was standing their and said she couldn't help me. I then asked if maybe anyone else can help and could come and pack the salad . She Called someone and then said NO again. I feel they definitely need to improve customer service. I mean this is a grocery store and I cant even get a cold salad. Just a bit disappointed.

Starbucks from this location is a decaying bussines. Stuff Is unprepared for customer service. Printers don't work... let alone ask for decaffeinated drinks. Their machine is been broken since 5 months. Won't recommend it.

This used to be my favorite Safeway til pandemic hit, the original cashiers and staff all seem to have moved on and replaced with all new faces, none of them are friendly or welcoming except the lady in floral dept. why the new hires are so impatient and unfriendly? Otherwise produce and food is still good quality, I’m moving down to Grandview Safeway for my shopping

I came in hopes of finding gripe water ( for babies who have colic) which the online website shows store carries. I asked two employees if they knew where I could find it and they quickly answered no; they didn't even make the attempt to search item on the the system which amazes me due to the fact the item likely has a location code associated with it. I asked a third employee in the aisle and he also quickly said no and didn't even try to find an employee who may be familiar with the product. I ended searching the medicine section and was able to find it myself. Effort is bad when it comes to customer service, at least for the night crew.

Worst shopping experience I've had since the ghetto Walmarts of Georgia. Reason 1) Cramped store conditions to where it is impossible to pass people in the asiles. 2) Rude and confrontational deli employee. I had to wait forever to get any service. She gave me attitude when I asked for my meat to be sliced thinner than her version of thin and then kept cutting more meat when I asked her to stop. She pretended not to hear me. 3) And for the trifecta, the wait to check out took like 20 min. The lines were all backed up like 8 people deep because there were only 2 cashiers. This was my first and last time shopping here.

This Safeway is as close to a Wegman's as I can find out out here on the west coast. I'll definitely be shopping here. I found everything I was looking for. Shopping for a change was downright pleasurable!!!

Although I stop and shop here 4-5 times a month it is not my go to store in Sunnyside. They have the items I use frequently and that’s why I go in. I’d shop there weekly if the lines were not ALWAYS so long. At 5:00 pm there are only 2 checkers open. It’s not uncommon for the lines to be 8-10 people deep. You can complain and nothing is done to change it. I’d rather drive to Yakima and shop there than wait in line for 20 minutes for 3-5 items.

Honestly Sunnyside Safeway is just so blah, compared to its Grandview location. This one just seems so sad and lonely, even though it gets packed it feels as if you are alone. Only thing going for it is the upgraded Starbucks spot but i mean thats still Starbucks coffee.

They are redoing the floors inside and can't wait to see what it will look like. Bathrooms are located in the back of the store and are kind of sketchy but the employees are alright and the store is easy to navigate.

I regularly shop at Safeway’s and this was the dirtiest I have ever went to. I didn’t even want to put my food on the belt because it was so dirty! You would think during a pandemic they would clean them more. I used to cashier at Walmart so I know dirty belt when I seen one. I will stick with Toppenish safeway.
